The duo originally founded the fast-casual chain Masala Wok in Richardson in 2002. The focus of that chain was on fresh, made-to-order Indian and Asian dishes inspired by Hyderabad, India where Prodduturi grew up. Masala Wok went on to become an enduring success and currently has seven locations throughout Texas. As they began to scale and add new Masala Wok locations, Prodduturi and Reddy noticed that their Indian menu generated the most revenue. So, in 2016, they expanded by opening Tikka Shack, focusing solely on Indian dishes such as curries, biryani, and, of course, tikka masala. As of this writing, Tikka Shack has 20 locations throughout the United States. My family and I recently had lunch at the Tikka Shack in Hershey, Pennsylvania (opened April 2024) while we were in town for the day. While looking for a place to grab lunch, we saw it on Chocolate Avenue and thought that Indian food sounded delicious. We initially had no idea that it was part of a chain. I ordered the "Chicken Tikka Masala" (savory, tomato-cream masala spiced up with paprika, coriander, and turmeric, served w/ basmati rice), my wife had the "Chicken Methi Malai" (flavorful & creamy curry sauce infused with methi (dry fenugreek), paprika, turmeric, yogurt, coriander, and garnished fresh cilantro, served w/ basmati rice), we both had Garlic Naan and Samosas on the side, and our sons both had the "Chicken Tikka Tenders" (tikka seasoned and hand breaded all white meat chicken tenders, served w/ fries). Everything was really tasty; excellent quality! My wife and I washed everything down with a couple of delicious "Mango Lassis". During our stay, we also noticed that many of the clientele were people of Indian decent, which is always a good sign. We had an excellent lunch at Tikka Shack and would definitely visit again if we see another location in the future!

We were greeted by the most attentive wait staff and decided to get the Nashville hot chicken appetizer to share. It was absolutely fantastic! I ordered a Caesar salad with the smoked turkey and couldn't have been happier. The corn bread croutons were incredible. My husband had the mac bowl with pork belly and let me taste the pork belly. Seriously melt in your mouth. This place is an incredible restaurant with fresh, carefully made food. Would come back again and again if we lived here.

(Note: I've often found this restaurant space to be cold inside, even when it was Home 231.) We were served by an incredible young server, Jonathan, who looked after our every need. We were also visited tableside by Chef/Owner Geno Goodman, and had a nice conversation about the restaurant biz. Our food was delicious. We started with the smoked deviled eggs, which were nicely smoked and seasoned. B had a special, branzino, with collards and Mac and cheese. I decided on a small rack of ribs with collards and corn on the cob. Everything was simply wonderful. The ribs were falling off the bone and amply sauced. We were interested in desserts, but decided against until next time. That won't be too long. I think we have a new Harrisburg favorite! Thanks, Geno and Jonathan!

I ordered one crunchy taco and a bean burrito and a packet of Diablo sauce. I ate in the car and when I opened the bag, the taco was already broken. And there are seven sauce packets. I am convinced Taco Bell would save millions if their staff didn't grab a handful of sauces for every order. Food was great, didn't appreciate the second person not acknowledging me much less being nice.

Placed a mobile order because there were lots of people at the kiosks. App said that the food should be ready by 8:46... got our food at 9:10. At a Taco Bell, 24 minutes waiting for food is way too long. It's fast food, not, whatever this is. While we waited, we noticed the disarray of the kitchen. Looking down the line, there was trash all over the floor, sauce packets under the drive thru window, and over all, a disgusting atmosphere. The food was thankfully okay, (it had better be for how long we waited). Disappointed that there was no apology from the employees, nothing. Was hoping for a quick stop in for dinner, not have to stand in the lobby for 20 minutes hoping that they would start our order. Going in, didn't expect a 5 star restaurant, but I certainly didn't expect to have our experience. Very disappointed.

I do love some Chipotle on occasion. They were so much better when they first came out & served…read moreorganic food. It has been downhill ever since to original owner sold out. That being said, every time I come to the Hershey Chipotle I question my judgment. Today, there was a sign on the door that said, "Sorry, we are out of white rice." then handwritten "and forks." How does a restaurant run out of forks when that is how your customers eat your food? If I were a manager or franchise owner, I would make a trip to the nearest club store to buy a case of forks using petty cash. White rice? No big deal because they had brown rice & they taste the same to me. But it must make a difference to others because they left after reading the sign. Back to my food. I ordered a burrito (how was I going to eat a bowl or salad with a spoon). Looked over the proteins to find the freshest one that wasn't dried out from sitting on the line. I chose the shredded pork and all the toppings. It was delicious. My issue was the way it was served to me. A delicious, overstuffed, juicy burrito wrapped in one piece of foil was given to me. No tray, basket, or bowl. Shouldn't be a problem but the foil isn't big enough to keep the burrito together so it's falling apart as I eat it while holding it. What a mess. I'm glad that I was sitting at a table outside the restaurant. Cleanliness: they must have been hit with a rush before the hockey game because the soda and condiment area was wiped out and a mess. People are slobs. There were a few forks in the utensil area but since I ordered a burrito, I didn't think I would need it. The tables were clean. The lady's room was a mess & had a broken paper towel dispenser. On the way to the bathrooms, there is a bulletin board with their inspection report. Everything was in compliance except the temperatures of the hot & cold food. But everyone is aware of that because it was on the news due to company-wide issues. The staff were courteous but looked like they were beaten up and fighting a losing battle trying to smile through the comments about the forks and rice. My recommendation would be to get your food to go if you can. Focus on the good food but have access to your own forks. I will give them another chance since the food is so good.

Very small portions and the guy serving kept using the salsa serving spoons and touching items in the bowls- so a lot of cross-contamination, especially for allergy reasons. The chicken was burnt. And the chips were not only stale but also there were barely any in the bag, my guess is since we came at 11am they were left over and the kitchen staff didn't want to make new ones. Overall not the best, and unfortunately this has been an ongoing experience when visiting this location.
