KFC - let's start by talking about the name: first of all, everyone in Kentucky should be insulted because they took Kentucky out of the name and all they left us with was a letter "K", second of all, just like Dairy Queen became DQ and "Grill and chill" we all know it's really ice cream and hamburgers, just like we know the F in KFC is for fried. They ain't fooling nobody. Every few years or so they try to spin something grilled or a bowl or something new that I am sure their marketing folks labor over, let's face facts: you go here for a big ol bucket of greasy, consistently delicious, fried chicken. Also, we are there for the mashed potatoes and the biscuits. Don't nobody want no grilled chicken or a salad or they'd go to Panera's. Just no. The important thing is - they are still around and you shouldn't forget about them. Think of the Colonel and eat something that tastes exactly the same as when you were a kid. Friday Night, Mama doesn't wanna cook bucket of chicken and sides. And, after all, if there are sides, you can count that as serving vegetables to your kids and get extra mom points. This is our go to when we are craving a fried chicken meal. We often go through the drive thru, and they are typically fast and efficient. Our orders are correct and still hot when we get them home. On a recent visit, I tried the new fried chicken sandwich. It was quite tasty and a great choice for a quick lunch. If you have a craving for chicken, give this location a try. KFC let me down I was given just chewy chicken not crispy at all tasted like it was sitting out for hours. The fries were just hard and the macaroni was hard . I also got some biscuits but it was raw. The service is good but the food is terrible. read more

The assistant manager rang me up. She was very friendly and professional. I hadn't been to a KFC for years and wasn't sure what to get. I ordered the 2 mini sandwiches meal and got 1 spicy and 1 original recipe but both tasted the same. So first time in KFC in a long time, they were nice people but didn't know how to run a kfc, hell even had a joke the guy that was giving us food. They just gave us two wrong meals out of the two we ordered and forgot a drink. The fries were left in super long and were pretty much chips. Used to be a friendly place for a good chicken fix. Innrecent years since the retirement of the former manager the service and food quality have taken a palpable negative turn. On today's visit i got the bar, as i normally do. The young lady who was taking orders was very impolite. She was curt and didn't make eye contact. If you have a personality like that please don't work a service job. The bar had no chicken on it which was why I was there. When asked the rude lady threw some chicken out like it was the worst thing in the world to do. There were no breasts in the mix which are my favorite. On my next trek to the bar i asked for breasts and she put out 2. All the other things on the bar were sub par, making my dining experience agonizing. Thanks for nothing, i won't be back!! read more

Recently stopped by here to give the Carolina Gold chicken tenders a shot. The sauce itself is tasty... I've always been a sucker for honey mustard, and it kind of hits some similar notes on the palate. The slaw was good, but the mashed potatoes were weird as always (they're either instant or heavily watered down). The tenders themselves though were pretty sad... each one was about 4 millimeters thick, like they were all cut in a slicer at the same time. I was definitely glad I opted for the six-piece because the three-piece would not have filled me up at all. Maybe I'll try the Tates Creek Road location next time. Due to the Coronavirus I decided to try the drive through window. I had what I thought was a simple order: 2 breasts, 1 wing, potato wedges, green beans, and a small soft drink. Every time the woman read back my order, it was wrong. She even thought I wanted legs, which I never even mentioned. After the 4th time telling my order and them reading back something wrong, I gave up and told them to have a nice day. I went to lunch via another drive thru. Most restaurants are on the brink. I stopped at this location on Wednesday, October 30th at around 6:30 pm. I'll just start by saying the woman working the window had an attitude from the beginning but before that I noticed that they have A LOT of outside and indoor construction going on. Not sure if that was the issue but the whole experience was awful. The chicken was extremely dried out and over cooked. I asked for original recipe and it was dry and super crispy. The black lady in the drive thru was not friendly at all and then after paying for an extra side, left the side out of my bag. THEN I witnessed her pouring my Mountain Dew from a 2 liter bottle instead of from the fountain drink machine! What in the heck?!? The drink was flat and hot because she barely put any ice in the cup. After I realized my side was missing some other rude lady told me that I would have to wait in line in the drive thru again to get my side. After a long wait, I finally got to the drive through window and the same rude lady working the drive thru just held the bag outside the window and didn't say a word. No sorry or thank you for waiting or anything. If construction makes your business that horrible, please close down! I do NOT plan to go back to this location. I wish I could give 0 stars! read more

Closest KFC to campus. They have a buffet for $8.19. Prices have gone up. Chicken is good and fresh. Sides are served in a reusable cup. Coleslaw was a little dry, but mashed potatoes were good. Prices are cheaper for dark meat. read more

Stopped here today for lunch for my boys after spending all morning at the hospital. I got a large order of the new chicken nuggets and 2 small potato wedges... The potato wedges were really good but the nuggets/chunks where old as could be. You could tell they had been sitting all morning. They where almost to hard to eat.. But like I said the wedges were good lol.... But as for everything on the inside the lady was really slow and there was flys flying all around the buffet and it just didn't look very good to me...
