This location is better than the one on Richmond Rd. The food is always hot and ample. I particularly like the Angus beef,and the Beijing steak. The window person is pleasant and expeditious without rushing me. The service is fine inside as well even though I haven't eaten there in several years. I always get drive-thru. Haven't had Panda in over 8 months. We're so happy to finally see one. We all ordered our food but they ran out of orange chicken when it got to me. They ladybsaid she would bring it to us when they got more, I said ok and thought to myself....Great now everyone will be waiting for me. I paid, got the trays and cup, got everyone's data down and went to fill my drink. As I was about to sit down with my drink the lady came over with my orange chicken and I thought....dang, that was fast. We all really enjoyed our food and can't wait to eat here again. Just like many restaurants I have come to try in Lexington, this one too is very compartmentalized. When I write that I mean like it has only its property, very hard to go to neighboring restaurants and other businesses from this parking lot alone. So I decided to take advantage of a T-Mobile deal and man was it packed! The cars in the drive thru at lunch were like wrapped around the entrance (the entrance is too small to even accommodate two cars passing each other). Then I decided to go inside. There was a line forming. One gal was like spooning things really quickly into disposable boxes (plates) for the drive thru, while the other was working the register and helping the inside line move. Like who the heck honestly buys anything at Panda Express at full price? Guys, if you are working a part time job ro even a full time job that pays under $15/hr., a bowl here is going to eat into an hour's worth of your wage. It is like $7.90 without tax for a bowl. I cannot really fault the customer service because it looked like this place was short staffed. There were also two or three people just preparing the food and laying it out. CRAZY! I had a mobile order and so I just stood in line and people, who online ordered, were already at the register letting the gal know they were ready for pick up. In all honesty, I think customer courtesy goes a long way in this case because if your order is not fulfilled by the time you get there, you might as well wait in the line. I now only have 30 minutes for lunch so I am looking for a place I can buzz through quickly and eat in front of my computer. So today I decided to venture out and try the new Panda Express by my office. I must say I did not really understand the menu when I looked at it on my phone, but the order board at the drive through made lots of sense. Entree and sides are a little different than the mom and pop Asian places, I was a bit dubious because I really like those places. I decided to try the Sweet Fire Chicken Breast bowl with white rice and I was not disappointed. Chicken was cooked well and not chewy...woot! The sweet and hot sauce was spicy and sweet and the pineapple added just little bit of acid that pulled the onions and peppers together. I will try this again. The drive thru was easy to navigate, and the menu was easy to read. I got a free entree for next time by filling out a survey! I had a bowl which comes with one side you can split, I had the white rice that was perfectly cooked! (I will ask for extra soy sauce next time...only one packet.) I was back at my office in 20 minutes! I asked for a paper menu so I can be ready on my next trip....must try the egg rolls and spring rolls in the future! read more

This is one of five Panda Express, Lexington locations. This one recently opened and the brand new building is spic and span, which is definitely a rarity in this south side of town, where most of the restaurants and fast food options are old and in need of being demolished. We have several Chinese take out places in the area, but this one will definitely take their place as the fan favorite. Go into it as what it is, take-out and you'll have a five star experience too. When I visited the one on Richmond Road, I was in the mood for a sit down meal, but any PE location is meant to be more of a fast food experience. I love the cafeteria like set up. You can see everything behind the glass case and the items are even labeled, so you know what you're looking at. They'll even let you sample whatever you'd like. Granted, it's literally a toothpick sampling, but it's enough to get the taste of whichever meal you're interested in. You can order online and prepay, which makes it easier if you're picking up multiple orders. Each person can order and prepay directly from the website. I order the plate meal, which comes with one side and two entrees. The side options consists of several versions of rice, or the super green. The side is the largest option of the meal, it's the size of both entrees. So, don't let the sound of "two entrees" steer you into thinking they're full sized entrees. You can order two half sized sides to give you more rice options, or green veggies. They're apparently most known for their most popular entree, orange chicken. I didn't see sweet and sour chicken, or general tso's on the menu, but if you usually order sweet and sour chicken, try the orange chicken. If you like general tsos, the Beijing beef is similar. The veggies are fresh and crisp, not soggy like you find in other takeout places. At least my lunch experiences have been top notch and fresh. I drove to this place by accident. I got ran out of the road on a snowy gross day and ended up in their drive thru. I said it must be a sign. I ordered chicken and green beans with white rice. I have to admit that it was quite tasty. The server was friendly and the wait was non existence. I jave to say I wasn't mad at it I will be going back for sure. read more
