I wanted to be the first review for this place since I have a lot of trainings at the Holiday Inn. My co workers and I decided to give this New KFC a try since we saw this KFC being built in January. In January there was literally nothing there except dirt now there's AMPM and a vibrant Colorful KFC in the plaza. My co workers came here on April 25th around 12pm and this place was empty. The cashier or even manager was very very friendly and was even teasing my male co worker due to him being the male in our group. This KFC is very modern and has really cool art work. I tried to take a lot of pictures of it. Their prices on their meals is actually surprisingly cheap. And they had deals going on for a lot of purchases like adding another side for only $1! You can't beat that at all. I wanted to get Mash potatoes but my tiny stomach could not handle it because these days I get full easily. After we placed our order and picked it up the manager came out to make sure we had enough knapkins, sauce and drinks. Can I say best customer service?? I love this KFC very much and highly recommend it very much! They have so much chicken options it's insane. Come stop by and experience the best KFC in the Valley. Stopped at this location while in Merced around 7:30ish at night. Drive thru did not have a single car in line when we pulled in. Customer service was great and the energy was great. When we got to the window they asked us to pull up front to await for our order. It didn't take long to get our food and it was accurate and hot. I ordered chicken wings with mashed potatoes/gravy and coleslaw. The sides were fine, but the chicken, Come On! Barely resembled chicken wings, so small and beat up, and never the original flavor I remember. I mean the meat on the bones wasn't even consistent, it was like shredded meat on some parts. If this is what you're serving, you should seriously close down. I pray I don't get sick from this crap. Just be aware this location may rip you off if you don't check your order when you receive it. Every time I've dined in at this location, it takes about thirty minutes to an hour to order and to receive the food. They make sure they give you the correct order since you're there on the spot inspecting it. It's a hit and miss with drive thru but today was the tipping point. I was out running errands earlier today so I went through drive thru to pick up some chicken for the family. I didn't check the chicken. No one said anything. I was having a late night snack while staying up with my infant daughter when I realized the entire bucket of fried chicken were miniature pieces. The chicken pieces were the size of the hot sauce packets!!! By the time I discovered this, it was already too late. The first bucket was devoured. It's 1:20 AM and this location is closed. I came here around 5:39 for a simple order of fill up bucket for $25.99 and I asked for instead of 2 mashed potato can I have 1 mash potato and 2 large gravy. First she gave me extra mashed potato and extra gravy. I said no if I can substitute the 1 mashed potato to another gravy but instead of doing that she just put mashed potato only and gravy and she took out the cole slaw so I have to go back and ask them what happened to my cole slaw and the Indian girl told me that don't be rude to the other girl and I said I just have a simple order and she cannot get it.
