Going through the drive through might sometimes be a risk for incompetence to happen. We ordered 2 meals, one was chicken strips. We asked 3 times for buffalo sauce since it needed to be repeated, and he finally repeated it for us. We got home, about 5 miles away, to discover there was no buffalo sauce, no plastic utensils, no butter or honey for the biscuits. The chicken strips without sauce is dry and hard to eat. Biscuits without the butter and honey are also not desirable. Incompetence in the drive through is far more of a problem since people are likely not going to find the shortage until it's too late to go back. This needs to be emphatically addressed with the employees. read more

I ordered from the drive thru: 12pcs chicken only and 2 large gravy, after exiting and trying to get a bite, noticed there was less than what I ordered and only found 8pcs so I turned back to the drive thru and told them, when I got to the window again, the guy who prepared it was looking at me as if I was lying (in front of my kids) and told me he prepared it himself, handed him the bag and he placed some chicken in it, I just let it go how he answered me and just wanted to correct the order of what I payed for because I'm hungry and my kids are noisy at the back. When I got home, realized he only added 2. Not sure if he knows how to count, still 2 pieces short. Tried calling them 20 times but line is still busy. I still like the chicken but next time will count them in front of them. KFC, please hire people who can count properly and include some courtesy classes to your employees. read more

I have not been to a kfc in over 2 years. The prices are outrageous and the taste of food has/had changed. I had horrible food at a Pittsburg, CA branch and had not been back since. Today I decided to go in since I'm in a new city and saw a great meal deal on tv. Not only was I surprised with the size of the deal, the food was actually good. The cashier (Cassidy) was great too. I haven't been to a KFC in a while. This one was clean,the food was actually hot and fresh. For fast food it was hot n semi good. Here is my issue. I got a combo thru drive thru. But when I arrived at the window to pay, I asked the dark haired skinny young girl; I think her name was "syrina " , how much extra to get my drink to a large???, she replied " she already put it in as a medium and she can't change it". I did give this restaurant five stars a couple years ago, but I now updated it to one star after coming to this location on Veteran's Day 2019 because of their gross inefficiency. First, I would like to say that I'm extremely disappointed that they discontinued the grilled recipe. Considering all the health-conscious people out there like myself, you cannot tell me that there was low demand for it. They're especially going to lose out on Millennial and Generation Z customers. Secondly, I waited at least thirty minutes inside the restaurant for my order. There was one customer, an older woman, that sat and waited a long time for her chicken breasts, only to be told that they were all out. I thought she was going to let the employees have it. She ended up demanding a refund and storming out of the restaurant. Lastly, it seems like employee morale is at an extreme low. While I was waiting for my food, there were several employees that were bickering amongst themselves, including the manager. I thought one of the employees was going to walk out on the job. I almost felt uncomfortable to the point I wanted to cancel my order. read more

This saddens me because KFC, including this one at 950 Oakdale Rd., usually has good hot wholesome food and decent service. I have always used KFC on Oakdale rd. because who doesn't like their excellent chicken, massed potatoes and gravy. So this negative review is not about the food; this unfavorable review is about the condescending service and attitude, and of course the snotty assistant manager who thinks that talking down and getting " all that" up in my sauce will solve a customer compliant Ordering 2 x $23.99 dinners in the drive thru then getting 2 x $ 32.99 dinners with cakes and sodas I did not or could never use is not my ideal of a correct order. I first asked the girl at the window "I think you over charged me because my order came to over $70!!! She said no it is correct. I told her that I did not order all this stuff. She said yes you did and everything is paid for and is included so you are not paying extra for it. I knew we were in trouble when she started handing me way too much food. I asked her again I think that you are have the order wrong and she said nope! When she gave me the soda and cakes, I said what are these? She said do not worry because they are already paid for! WHAT? We then drove to the parking lot and realized that I was charged for 2 x bigger dinners that I did not order. This was after I asked the girl in the window did she get my order right three!!! 3 times! We were so tired and my legs were really hurting then that I decided not to pile out of the car and haul everything into the store. I just gave my friend the cakes and sodas. I should not have to go into the store to get my order right even though I should have; the tribulations of old age. What really piss me off later was the cakes were pumpkin and were also going out of code the next day! That boiled my blood after excepting them when I did not order them in the first place. Since I live in Sonora I called the next morning three times and couldn't leave a message. I wrote a complaint at the KFC website. Then I finnaly got a response in a real person. The assistant manager called and basically told me it was my fault and they were right even after I caught her lying to me in that they do not sell a $23.99 dinner. When I told her that who would want a "pumpkin cake" that was going out of code the next day she was completely silent. So the moral of the experience is that KFC on Oakdale rd is right and me who was over charged and given the wrong order was wrong. So KFC on Oakdale rd 1, pissed off customer 0. Never mind that the food is great because the service renders the chow quite distasteful. I think that the Colonel would be pissed on this one. I know that I am. Never again at this KFC. read more

Okay, here's a story for you! Tonight, my wife goes to this KFC to get dinner for us. The bill comes out to $29.03, so my wife gives the Server 5 $1 bills along with her debit card and asks the Server to apply the $5 to the bill and then charge the balance, $24.03, to the card. What does the Server do? She charges the full $29.03 to the card and keeps the $5! My wife only discovered this "error" later tonight when she decided to enter the transaction in Quicken and then check the Bank Statement. My wife knew she had enough to cover $24.03, not $29.03, which is why she gave the Server the $5 cash to apply to the bill in the first place. My wife then goes out to the car to find the receipt and only finds the receipt generated by the POS system. No debit card receipt! The receipt from the POS shows that $34.03 was tendered and that $5 was given in change, but $5 never was given in change! The end result is that this might cost us not only $5 more for the meal, but a $25 overdraft charge if my wife can't get to the credit union in time to cover the $1.99 negative balance. The Lesson: Check your receipts at the Drive Thru! Even if cars are lined up behind you... The Assistant Manager checked the Till when my wife called her and said that she cannot find the extra $5. In fact, she stated that her Till is less than it should be! And get this, the Assistant Manager could not find the Debit Card receipt either! My wife will follow up with the Manager tomorrow. Hopefully, the manager will realize what happened and make this right and HOPEFULLY we won't get dinged for $25 by the credit union! I will update this review tomorrow! read more

Ugh the food here still sucks. We thought that after the remodel they would have paid closer attention to the quality of food they put out but I guess that was too much to ask for. My husband used the drive thru which took forever! The chicken he brought home, the popcorn chicken was super hard. They double dipped it to make it hot. The bucket of chicken wasn't any better. You can see the grease sitting on it. They probably double dipped it too. For as long as he had to wait, you would think they would have fresh chicken to serve! I called and spoke to the manager who put my name in "the book" to replace the popcorn chicken and issue a refund and a large aide which I could care less about. I hadn't checked the chicken before calling. She said for us to come back. I told her no, I'm not driving back. My whole family is sick. The food should have been right the first time!
