KFC - Fast Food Near Me - Oakdale, California

We normally expect a delay from KFC, simply because we know our food will be warm, fresh, and cooked correctly. This is perfect. This did not happen here in Oakdale. Never has a KFC ever been a problem for me. Heck my first job was KFC , and I know its usual quality. Ordered a full meal, over 60 Dollars. Chicken was very, very dry, never have I had this happen at other locations. I pulled up to the window, and was immediately handed food. Should have known. Old food Gravy! Ordered a Spicy Chicken sandwich with no sauce at KFC in Oakdale. Was told that sandwich is made with spicy sauce only. I asked if I could be given the sauce on the side and was told NO. Once I was given the food, I asked again and was told it's not their policy to give sauce on the side. Went in to talk to the manager and a young lady said she was the manager and NO sauce , it's not their policy. I'm not really bothered that I couldn't get the sauce, but how I was told not only from the manager, but her staff. Customer service is lacking in this KFC store. KFC is the absolute WORST place in town if you're a DoorDash driver, or if you're ordering from them through DoorDash. I'm pretty sure they forget that you're waiting for an order 99% of the time. This has to be the worst KFC I've ever been to. I ordered my order on kfc.com and when I went to pick it up they told me that they don't accept orders from their own god forsaken website. I will be surprised if this place is open in 6 months. What a mess. This is one of those combo places where they have A&W Rooter and KFC. They can't do either of them correctly. I'n not sure where to start - came by for hotdogs and root beer - 30 min later had hot dog and no root beer (This is an A&W Root Beer). The workers were utterly confused and focused on the drive though leaving the people inside to just sit around. They seem to have a problem with the root beer. I heard the girl say 3 time over the course of 30 min's that she is refilling the root beer and it would be 10 min. It never got refilled. I got 3 hotdogs, a large root beer float and a small root beer. The hotdogs took 15 min and I got a medium root beer float in a paper cut (not glass) with what tasted like water and syrup and only 1/2 full. I did not even try to do a refund - I would have been there for an hour more - This place was utter confusion. The food was horrible and the service was even worse, even for fast food. And DOWN it goes again. The issue here seems to be inconsistent management practices. Apparently they cook chicken from pre-packaged batches (this was explained to me by one of the employees). Each package has a set number of wings, breasts, etc. They are instructed to sell out an entire batch (or most of it), before they open another. This means, if you want 4 breasts or 6 breasts, it would require opening 2 or 3 "batch packages" if all of the remaining parts aren't sold, it results in loss. I have had this issue pop up several times since I last rated this location. Not only that, but since I had to wait out front for my order, I lowered my window, so I could hear people ordering at the drive-thru. Many expressed the same frustrations while ordering. Phrases like "how can you be out of Breasts at 6PM, this is KFC, right?" I understand the business side, but there HAS to be a Better way to do this. EVERY trip here is frustrating, for this reason, we almost NEVER patronize the business. This is a shame, because we actually really like the chicken. Maybe they could have bags of Breasts only, to supplement the "batch" bags. Whatever the case, It needs to get better, of it will forever be a 1-2 star location. read more

In a two week time we have had an issue with this location. First time got the wrong order. Second time they wouldn't have biscuits for 16 minutes. Third time as the drive through kid is handing me the bag tells me we were out of biscuits I gave you 2 cookies. Irritated me that he was so nonchalant as he said it like it was nothing. I work for A delivery service and out of all the restaurants I pick up from this is by far the slowest one. I could understand if there was a long line, but I was the only person waiting.it took 45 minutes from the moment I arrived to leave with my food and it took the customer who ordered it 2 hours from the time they ordered it to receive their dinner. I will never accept another order from this restaurant. I hope this encourages them to provide more efficient service for their own benefit and for the Oakdale community, especially in these times where people are staying home and relying on our services for their meals. First I will start on a positive note, the employees are always friendly. But EVERY TIME we go there our order is not correct, items are missing or they just don't have what your wanting to order. This has been a constant thing for years!! One night we went to get food they "lost" our order which we had already paid for, we waited for over 40 mins before we got our food. We always suck it up because we really like the food, but tonight was what finally did it for me. We have tried to eat from here (we moved to Oakdale right before COVID so we've only had a drive thru experience) several times and have never had a good experience. I don't understand how this establishment is still open, it's terribly organized, extremely dirty, the food sits out and is old, they always forget your order, and they're in such a hurry to leave early that they'll close up to an hour and a half early because they're so lazy. This place is the opposite of fast food. Expect to wait for your food. They never have what you want. On the plus side you often get fresh food, but if you're in a hurry dont go there. However if you are "lucky" enough to get your food expect it to be stale and the chicken will be dry and hard. On my last trip there was hair in my mashed potatoes. read more

This place has usually been pretty good in the past, but tonight, not so much. We noticed it seemed cold when we first walked in. There were no medium size cup lids, so they gave us large. No complaint there. I mentioned to two different employees how chilly it was, and that it felt like the AC was on, but got no response. IT WAS DECEMBER! Then, no honey sauce for our biscuits. For some reason they can never get the orders right. Last night ordered 12 piece all dark with half extra crispy and half rotisserie. Got 2 breasts in the extra crispy and the rotisserie was 4 drumsticks and 2 wings all over cooked. Had to wait 15 minutes for them to cook the order since didn't have any prepared.
