Number one I only bought a double cheeseburger with bacon and I have high blood pressure so I was assuming they would not throw at least 3 tablespoons of salt in the meat and the meat was dry. It was horrifying. I had to throw it out the first I didn't taste it the first hot bites the first couple two bites, but when it got cool enough to where I could eat it, I almost threw up Vica and now my blood pressure is risen so high because of all the salt that they are putting into their food that includes their chicken the grease the salt they're trying to give us all a heart attack so please place this on the up. This is horrifying and this goes for every KFC/I wish they had kept that hamburger joint open because at least they weren't bad I asked for a medium rare, she told me they always come down well well guess what it was well done because it was already pre-cooked. All they did was toss it into a microwave. It was disgusting. It caused my blood sugar to rise and my high blood pressure to go by 25 points so this is a bad place to not eat there. I would highly recommend you do not eat there ever again. Their chicken is not the original gourmet chicken that we had when I was a kid. It was a greasy back then it wasn't over. I mean crusty was one thing but it didn't taste greasy now it's nothing but grease. It's a heart attack waiting to happen and if you eat it, you're going to have one if you continue it every day you're growing to definitely have a heart attack. I'll never buy from them ever in Kentucky fried or who the others. I will make my own chicken at home thank you and my own hamburgers of 93% meat or 98. !!!! if you wanna save your health, do not eat this place I had to throw the hamburger out when I took two bites as the way I like my hamburgers cold and that's when I tasted. It had a at least 3 tablespoons of salt in it and I almost threw up so anybody eaten there let it cool and then find out what's really it cause it's garbage!!! read more

I've lived just half a mile from this KFC for over 15 years, and I'm writing this for anyone lucky enough to read it before making the mistake of eating here. This isn't just a "bad day" kind of place -- this location has consistently served up some of the worst food experiences I've ever had over the last 5 years. We're talking stale chicken that's completely hollow inside, stomach aches, and yes -- even full-on food poisoning. It's like they've completely given up on even pretending to care about quality. My friend, who usually eats at the Northgate KFC, tried this location once and said it was disgusting. What's wild is that even the underfunded KFC in rougher neighborhood serve better food than this one. That should say everything. If I could give it zero stars, I would. Honestly, 2 stars is being generous. Please do yourself a favor and drive the extra few miles to a different location. I highly recommend the Natomas one. This place simply isn't safe or worth your money. The inside dining area isn't bad, it's actually a vibe. customer service seems like they're always trying to put in effort. Young man in a red shirt tonight spoke very kind with us. Gave us great recommendations. Said he was new but provided his favorites. Great choices. Great sides and chicken. Has really changed over the last 6 months for the better!! Better staff, food better, fresh and HOT!!! Throughout 20 years in the area, this used to be a consistent stop. There is not too much variation in quality. But today was by far the worst visit. Papa burgers were so dry I choked trying to swallow it, all 3 we had were old and dry. They had plenty of sauce, but meat was overcooked, and buns were really stale and hard. It will be a long while before I try them again. I don't know if the manager was gone, or they changed management, but grossly wasteful for food, I threw mine out, others fed to the dogs... I wouldn't even give mine to a dog. Gross!! What happened? It's been months since I visited, now I remember why, last visit I'd got chicken, it was very dry, stuck to bones dry. This rating is in comparison to other KFC's. Facility: - dinning room: was clean with no visible trash. Trash cans were well maintained and looked touchable. The counter, floor, railing, all clean, no dirt nor dust visible. - bathroom: super nasty, I didn't see that coming based on how clean the rest of the place was. I had to debate on if I was going to wash my hands, based on how the sink looked. Customer Service: The two staff I interacted with were nice, polite (only reason I didn't rate this place a 1). It seems like they have a solid foundation to work through their shortcomings that may not be in their controls. Food: They were missing several items at the time of my purchase (12:30pm). They did not have Mac-n-cheese, order was missing a biscuit. I was highly disappointed in this. The chicken and Fries were cooked well. I cannot believe this KFC has raised some prices as much as 250%. 6 chicken strips for $16.49 and this is not the meal price. Large coleslaw almost $7.00!!! I have been told same franchise owner owns the Watt Ave and Elverta Rd location as their prices are just as ridiculous. I also seem to have bad luck with this location. They always make a huge mess making the shakes always drippy,I never get a straw and napkins when we don't check.. well today topped it all they didn't have the lid on and it went all over myself my daughter and my car. This place is not good! They serve old chicken! Nobody wants to eat old chicken for dinner. The managers must not be good. The biscuits were stale also. Have a little pride in what you do. If I could give negative stars I would. As other reviewers mentioned, this is the absolute worst KFC A&W around. First time I ever went here, the employees were rude as hell, and this continued onto other visits as well. On top of that, the food is always undercooked, which can be lethal. This has happened many times, and I don't plan on visiting this location ever again. Still thinking about reporting this place and I can see that I'm not alone. Not like they will read this anyways. I'm probably the only person in Rio Linda that looks at Yelp and has an active internet connection. No need to take your hatred out on customers because you decided to work in fast food. read more

The only reasons I give this two stars instead of one is the root beer is delicious and the employees are friendly. The food is so-so. Well, most of it is. The family likes the chicken better than frozen fried chicken, but not much more. They prefer to go next door to the grocery store for a rotisserie chicken, which is cheaper, tastes better, and more in quantity. The mashed potatoes taste no better than instant. The potato wedges are usually barely warm. About a week ago, we stopped by there on our way out of town and I ordered the cheese curds. They were stomach turning. Disgusting. I actually physically gagged because they were so rubbery and gross. I don't know how someone can ruin something so simple, but they did, and if I had not been on my way out of town, I would have returned for a refund. I stopped at a park to throw them in the trash. Haven't seen the worker, misty, since my last review and after that i assumed she had left/been fired. All other days I've been to this KFC have been a friendly and welcoming atmosphere from all the other staff I've seen there. I waited, watched it come out of the fryer, and then watched as the manager pushed out all of that crispy chicken out of the drive thru window, then sent another employee to tell me it was going to be 10 minutes. Then after I got my food I decided to ask her what happened, she immediately blamed her employees telling me she eas going to write them up and fire them. So I called her out on what I saw, and she called me a liar, and got even ruder before I just gave up and walked out. This woman doesn't know what professionalism is... I live across the street from this location, and I've always loved KFC for over 40+ yrs. Each time I've come into the eatery, it is downright unsanitary. Can't even sit at a table while waiting due to not cleaning or cleared. Manager is very rude and snappy. On 2 occasions I've ordered 20pc hotwings and they were so old the meat was like jerky.
