Chicken! I was in the natomas area so decided to order from this place to share with my family. Not too far from natomas. They are located inside Rivera Mart. I walked up to the counter and was greeted by Joseph. Since it was our first time trying them out, we wanted to try everything lol. We pretty much ordered everything on their menu haha. 16 piece dark chicken: there's a hint of spicy to them. Very flavorful but a bit salty. Very krispy. 12 piece tenders: it was on the drier side. Kinda hard. Probably because it has been sitting out for a bit. Family fries/wedges: soft and fluffy. It was good. 6 honey biscuits (forgot to take a pic): it was soft and sweet. A little on the dense side but it was good. Comparable to the biscuits from Church's Chicken. 10 piece cajun wings: good blend of flavors. The wings were pretty good in size and was cooked to perfection. 10 piece krispy wings: the wings were tender. Just the right amount of flavors. Not as krispy. It was kinda stale but still good. 3 piece fish: comes with a biscuit. The fish was very fresh as just came out of the fryer. The fish pieces were huge as well. Has a bit of heat. Large mashed potatoes with gravy: the gravy was on the salty side. The potatoes were a bit dense. Overall a pretty good mashed and gravy. Red beans and rice: ordered this for my brother in law. It didn't look too appealing but he said he was good and that it is comparable to the one from Popoyes. Joseph and the other workers were very nice. Joseph told me that he's opening 2 more locations. One in natomas and another in Folsom. Overall, their chicken is pretty good. I still prefer Church's chicken more but I would definitely order from them again.

We walked in to a clean environment, with several amenities: frozen drinks, lottery tickets, small assortment of convenience goods. But of course we were there for the fried chicken. The attendant was a friendly gentleman and from order to walk out, service was very fast. My initial scan of the food, it looked delicious. Diving in, we ordered the family meal and small sides: Chicken- Tastes like a homestyle batter just a hint of peppered flavor, but not overwhelming. The crisp and crunch on the crust and tender moist chicken inside is a Did not get soggy at all on the way home. 5/5!!! Biscuits- with a light honey flavored glaze, these were so fluffy and delicious, soft inside with the slightest "crisp" but not crunchy at all! 5/5!! Potato wedges- beautiful crispy out side with a tender potato inside. These were very lightly season and delicious. 5/5! Sides- this review is minus one star for the rest of the sides: the Mac n cheese was very creamy, but was not very flavorful. The jambalaya actually had a great flavor, but was very dry. The red beans and rice was bland, but not horrible. Overall I'd give it a 4.5 and only order the things I loved the second time around!

Just regular drumsticks and thighs of fried chicken

I was in the mood for fried chicken and this place popped up on Uber Eats. They were open early and I got my food within about 45 minutes. Uber brought it to me while it was still hot. I got a special buy one got one free so I got a lot of chicken. I ordered the dark meat drumsticks and thighs cause I like my food juicy just the way I like my women hot and juicy. I also got red beans and rice and the jambalaya. Unfortunately they were not very outstanding they tasted OK and the portions for the price in this day and age were fair... neither were spicy you would have to add hot sauce to kick it up a couple notches. I did order the jalapeño poppers. But shamefully they failed to include this in my order so I am unable to review them. I did notify Uber about this and they refunded me my money for this item very quickly. Thank you Uber.. Now the chicken arrive hot and to my surprise crispy. Because usually when fried foods are transported they end up being soggy. But in this case they still came hot and crunchy. Unfortunately I did not find the chicken to be outstanding. They were just regular fried chicken not too spicy but not too bland either. If you like to kick it up you would have to add the hot sauce that they provided upon request.. Overall with the promotion of buy one get one free I was satisfied it was enough for at least 4 to 5 people. But as far as flavor goes it's not outstanding just regular fried chicken for a regular type of person. Not for a excellent chef as myself or an outstanding Elite Yelper nor a outstanding foodie as I AM.. If I have families or friends who just like regular old fried chicken this would be the place to go to or to call. If you're looking for something to be exciting a new and spicy no no no pass on it but The chicken was hot it was crispy and it tasted just fine

In town on business and was recommended this place by a colleague. So glad this was recommended…read more Best meal since I've been in town! Great fish, lobster, seafood selections. I got the Branzino with cauliflower rice, and the chopped zucchini, veggies, and some hot sauce. This was perfectly cooked, grilled not fried, great vegetables great flavors so happy I found this. I'm in town for another three days and I'm sure I will be back. Staff was super nice, lots of specialty sodas and drink drinks, no alcohol, but nice, clean dining room, large platters to eat off of, could not be happier. Highly recommend!

Food: 3.8 Service: 2.5…read more 1st time coming here even though my wife has been coming here frequently with her girlfriends, so excited to give this establishment a try after working / doing demonstrations at the State Fair. There's plenty of parking and after walking in; I was disappointed since there was no one willing to take orders in person so we were forced to navigate their kiosk menu ordering system. Their system is fairly simple to use, plenty of pictures to show you what each item potentially looks like. But if you're not use to ordering from a kiosk then it can be frustrating. We finally got our order placed and sat until our food was ready (call by name). When our food was ready, everything was there except my salad (only thing they didn't have to cook, LOL). Food was prepared well and plated nicely. I was surprised that my wife ordered her fish fried and not grilled but the fish portion was huge, but she seemed very happy with her food & her sides: brussel sprout and sweet potato fries. My two fish tacos was pretty good the ends of each portion was mostly batter which gave you that crunch sound on the first bite but the tacos was missing something maybe some salsa/hot sauce or a crema. My side: street corn and Caesar salad. Their street corn was on point so I added it to my tacos which gave it more flavor. The salad was nice and refreshing. I did also order their clam chowder which was creamy but after several spoonfuls, the taste of butter was prominent; so I never finish the soup. BONUS: they serve Stubborn soda, so if you never had it then it's worth just stopping in for that alone! Overall, nice visit.

This place is completely under rated!!…read more I also ordered the Octopus Entree which was very good as well and had a Lychee Pisco Sour. Everything we tried was amazing. The service, food and decor was absolutely wonderful. I loved the Langostinos Sarandeados! Very flavorful and hit the spot! I can't wait to go back and get some more! There is street parking available and we were able to find a spot across from the restaurant. Bathroom was clean and well maintained.

OK, can just come here and get Sopa de Elote every day!?! Wowza the flavor is heavenly!!!…read more I can't believe this is the same location as the prior janky sandwich place (Quiznos?). They have transformed this restaurant space and into the cutest place ever; I'm so impressed! This was our first visit. We sat outside underneath the cute fringed umbrellas. It was intimate and we really enjoyed the setting. We decided to share 4 starters and I have to say the scallops were pretty good, but I wasn't a huge fan of the ceviche, but my friend was and the tostada was OK as well, but I was just blown away by the Sopa de Elote and the very nice tasting Chardonnay by the glass for $12.00, not to mention the spectacular service that we received. I definitely want to come back here and try to main courses, but anything I order will have to follow that Sopa de Elote ... did I mention that that is the best thing ever!?!

The restaurant in my opinion was a whole vibe, from the people to the music. Although I had just finished water rafting and looked a mess, I was still greeted as soon as I walked in. The resturant was very clean and it had a lot of beautiful art around. The owner was actively engaging with customers, which added a personal touch. The menu was definitely overwhelming lol but not in a bad way, their was just so many options I didn't even know what directions to go. I started eyeing people plates and it seemed everyone had something different but it all looked good. I went with fried party wings, cat fish , yams, Mac and cheese , greens and of course some cornbread on the side. From the flavorful seasoned with the perfect crisp wings to the perfectly sweetened yams and homemade cornbread. The mac and cheese tasted like it came straight from Auntie's kitchen lol, listen to me ....even the root beer was good, creole soul y'all did NOT DISAPPOINT and I will be back for that crab and garlic butter noodles. The icing on the cake, Anniversary by Tony Toni Tone came on and you couldn't tell me y'all didn't play that for us lol.

The restaurant is very inviting, trendy, and elegant not to mention it had a fabulous view of the river. The waiter gave us ample time to order and not once during the whole experience did we feel rushed. The steak was grilled to perfection & the potatoes were not crisp but was very tasty. The salad was beautifully presented. It had a potpourri of various fruit + vegetables. In addition to the salad were several large prawns. This restaurant also has a hotel run by The Westin. There is plenty of parking which offers valet for $12 or self parking for free in the back. I've spent many dinners here since then and I have to say BA has been one of my go to spots ever since the doors opened. They began with a focus on their awesome hot pots and some appetizers and have expanded to have a wide array of food options. I love a good soup, but I have to admit their rice bowls have become my new fave. The pork belly with quail eggs and the popcorn chicken bowls are our go to entrees now. We stop by after every pickleball game we have and our group can't help but order what we consider the "necessary" BA bites. AKA most of the menu. Salt and pepper tofu (my fave), grilled mackerel (yum), shrimp skewers (a classic), cucumber salad, garlic mushrooms and more. Never went wrong with trying something new from the menu. This place has always been a vibe and I've celebrated many an occasion here. But it's also one of our fave can't decide on anything dinner spots. Boiling Avenue will always hold a special place in my heart. Cheers!
