Chicken! I was in the natomas area so decided to order from this place to share with my family. Not too far from natomas. They are located inside Rivera Mart. I walked up to the counter and was greeted by Joseph. Since it was our first time trying them out, we wanted to try everything lol. We pretty much ordered everything on their menu haha. 16 piece dark chicken: there's a hint of spicy to them. Very flavorful but a bit salty. Very krispy. 12 piece tenders: it was on the drier side. Kinda hard. Probably because it has been sitting out for a bit. Family fries/wedges: soft and fluffy. It was good. 6 honey biscuits (forgot to take a pic): it was soft and sweet. A little on the dense side but it was good. Comparable to the biscuits from Church's Chicken. 10 piece cajun wings: good blend of flavors. The wings were pretty good in size and was cooked to perfection. 10 piece krispy wings: the wings were tender. Just the right amount of flavors. Not as krispy. It was kinda stale but still good. 3 piece fish: comes with a biscuit. The fish was very fresh as just came out of the fryer. The fish pieces were huge as well. Has a bit of heat. Large mashed potatoes with gravy: the gravy was on the salty side. The potatoes were a bit dense. Overall a pretty good mashed and gravy. Red beans and rice: ordered this for my brother in law. It didn't look too appealing but he said he was good and that it is comparable to the one from Popoyes. Joseph and the other workers were very nice. Joseph told me that he's opening 2 more locations. One in natomas and another in Folsom. Overall, their chicken is pretty good. I still prefer Church's chicken more but I would definitely order from them again.

We walked in to a clean environment, with several amenities: frozen drinks, lottery tickets, small assortment of convenience goods. But of course we were there for the fried chicken. The attendant was a friendly gentleman and from order to walk out, service was very fast. My initial scan of the food, it looked delicious. Diving in, we ordered the family meal and small sides: Chicken- Tastes like a homestyle batter just a hint of peppered flavor, but not overwhelming. The crisp and crunch on the crust and tender moist chicken inside is a Did not get soggy at all on the way home. 5/5!!! Biscuits- with a light honey flavored glaze, these were so fluffy and delicious, soft inside with the slightest "crisp" but not crunchy at all! 5/5!! Potato wedges- beautiful crispy out side with a tender potato inside. These were very lightly season and delicious. 5/5! Sides- this review is minus one star for the rest of the sides: the Mac n cheese was very creamy, but was not very flavorful. The jambalaya actually had a great flavor, but was very dry. The red beans and rice was bland, but not horrible. Overall I'd give it a 4.5 and only order the things I loved the second time around!

Just regular drumsticks and thighs of fried chicken

I was in the mood for fried chicken and this place popped up on Uber Eats. They were open early and I got my food within about 45 minutes. Uber brought it to me while it was still hot. I got a special buy one got one free so I got a lot of chicken. I ordered the dark meat drumsticks and thighs cause I like my food juicy just the way I like my women hot and juicy. I also got red beans and rice and the jambalaya. Unfortunately they were not very outstanding they tasted OK and the portions for the price in this day and age were fair... neither were spicy you would have to add hot sauce to kick it up a couple notches. I did order the jalapeño poppers. But shamefully they failed to include this in my order so I am unable to review them. I did notify Uber about this and they refunded me my money for this item very quickly. Thank you Uber.. Now the chicken arrive hot and to my surprise crispy. Because usually when fried foods are transported they end up being soggy. But in this case they still came hot and crunchy. Unfortunately I did not find the chicken to be outstanding. They were just regular fried chicken not too spicy but not too bland either. If you like to kick it up you would have to add the hot sauce that they provided upon request.. Overall with the promotion of buy one get one free I was satisfied it was enough for at least 4 to 5 people. But as far as flavor goes it's not outstanding just regular fried chicken for a regular type of person. Not for a excellent chef as myself or an outstanding Elite Yelper nor a outstanding foodie as I AM.. If I have families or friends who just like regular old fried chicken this would be the place to go to or to call. If you're looking for something to be exciting a new and spicy no no no pass on it but The chicken was hot it was crispy and it tasted just fine

Right when you walk in, everyone was friendly and welcoming. It was a busy Saturday evening, but we were seated pretty quickly. Our waitress was also so friendly, and our food came out FAST and piping hot! In our past experiences at other crab boil restaurants, it can take forever just to get a table, let alone get your food. So we really appreciated how quickly everything came out here! Now, THE FOOD! My hubby and I both got the Dungeness crab with the mild Cajun & garlic butter seasoning. It came with potatoes and corn, and we also added a side of rice and the Cajun fries. The seasoning was SO good! It had plenty of flavor without being overly salty. The crab was delicious and cooked perfectly. And those Cajun fries?! They were super crispy and seasoned to perfection! The only thing I would have changed was that we weren't given any crab crackers or tools to help us get into the crab. We actually thought they didn't have any at first. We later asked and were provided with some, but it would have been nice if they were offered or brought out with our gloves and bibs since we ordered crab. Other than that, I really enjoyed our experience! I especially loved that the restaurant has a more relaxed atmosphere compared to some other crab boil spots. The seats were comfortable, the music wasn't extremely loud, and it still had a fun vibe while being quiet enough for us to actually have a conversation. Overall, I'm giving Captain Crab a 10/10! We'll definitely be back!

Staff just kept walking by and glancing over but did not seem to care. I asked several staff if I can get a towel. Finally the bus boy told me to just move to a different table. They left our first table and floor wet almost the entire time we were there. It was odd, as it wasn't busy at the time and they had plenty of staff. The food was also just ok. Very generous with the shrimp and sausage but the crab portion was pretty sparse and the crabs were salty and not fresh tasting. They were supposed to be 1lb ea but there was only 1 crab cluster with thin legs and the shrimp and sausage were probably a bit over. The corn on the cob was frozen corn not fresh. We also ordered a side of bread and it was half of a roll for $4 and a side of the spicy sauce was $7 (for a small ramekin maybe 3 oz?) The kids still enjoyed the experience but I don't think we will be back here.

After seeing a TikTok influencer recommend it and show what she ordered, it looked really good, so I finally decided to give it a shot. I had been craving something that was light, balanced, and packed with protein, and after reading the reviews, the All Everything Protein Bowl seemed like the perfect choice. I placed my order for pickup, and the first thing I noticed when I walked in was how clean the restaurant smelled. Surprisingly, there wasn't a strong seafood odor at all, which I actually appreciated. Service: picked up my food upon arrival and everything was ready. The All Everything Protein Bowl was fresh, light, and didn't have overpowering flavors. It came with chicken, fish, and shrimp, making it a well-balanced, protein-packed meal. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I ended up really enjoying it. The seafood tasted fresh and clean, and the ingredients worked well together without feeling too heavy. My only critique is that I wish it came with a little more sauce. Other than that, I had a great experience and will definitely be back to try some of their other menu items.

Food: 3.8 Service: 2.5…read more 1st time coming here even though my wife has been coming here frequently with her girlfriends, so excited to give this establishment a try after working / doing demonstrations at the State Fair. There's plenty of parking and after walking in; I was disappointed since there was no one willing to take orders in person so we were forced to navigate their kiosk menu ordering system. Their system is fairly simple to use, plenty of pictures to show you what each item potentially looks like. But if you're not use to ordering from a kiosk then it can be frustrating. We finally got our order placed and sat until our food was ready (call by name). When our food was ready, everything was there except my salad (only thing they didn't have to cook, LOL). Food was prepared well and plated nicely. I was surprised that my wife ordered her fish fried and not grilled but the fish portion was huge, but she seemed very happy with her food & her sides: brussel sprout and sweet potato fries. My two fish tacos was pretty good the ends of each portion was mostly batter which gave you that crunch sound on the first bite but the tacos was missing something maybe some salsa/hot sauce or a crema. My side: street corn and Caesar salad. Their street corn was on point so I added it to my tacos which gave it more flavor. The salad was nice and refreshing. I did also order their clam chowder which was creamy but after several spoonfuls, the taste of butter was prominent; so I never finish the soup. BONUS: they serve Stubborn soda, so if you never had it then it's worth just stopping in for that alone! Overall, nice visit.

First impression - yes, as others have mentioned, the parking is not close or easy to find. You have to drive all the way around the hotel, then locate a valet to open a gate so that you can park. Our table had the ahi nachos which they all reported as very good (I don't eat raw seafood, so I did not try it). We also ordered the crab cakes which were very small, and the sauce on top was VERY spicy. I love crab cakes but these were definitely not the best we've ever had. One of our guests said he enjoyed his steak and scallops entree. Another guest had the fish and chips which he said was good. Next guest ordered an all steak meal which she said she enjoyed. I ordered the skinny margarita, which was not good and I did not continue to drink after the first few sips. I was really excited to order the lobster, as I hadn't had lobster in quite some time. It looked amazing when it arrived, but it was, sadly, overcooked, very difficult to cut and I gave up after a bite. The mashed potatoes and vegetables that accompanied it were good. For $73.00, however, I was greatly disappointed. Our server was hit or miss, and she did not check back on us to ask about our meals which was sadly unexpected. The location is very nice. We took a little stroll after dinner outside by the river. I perused some of the reviews and was astounded at one in particular. This patron gave her entire experience a ONE star because she chose to eat OUTSIDE, at a restaurant on A RIVER, and even though her party found the food and service to be divine, she insulted the restaurant with a one star review because she claimed her party was swarmed throughout their meal by mosquitoes. Mosquitoes that were OUTSIDE! Imagine! (Insert eye roll here!). Unbelievable! And soooo ridiculous! Why not ask to be moved inside when this "overwhelming swarm" first overcame your table and viciously attacked you? And yet this reviewer stayed outside and kept enduring the "mosquito monsoon". Good grief. How in the heck is the restaurant, which AGAIN, is located ON A RIVER, supposed to control those mosquitoes (which plague us ALL when we are outside in warmer weather)? And why claim to have suffered through your meal by these swarms of mosquitoes and not even think to ask to be moved inside? Anyway, it was sad to read such a ridiculous review. About mosquitoes being outside. On a river. Which Scott's surely cannot be held responsible for! Outrageous!

Came for a bday dinner - made reservations on Open Table and got sat relatively quickly. Free bread and butter. Butter was soft which was very much appreciated. Bread was not warm but still fine. 5/5 Boston clam chowder. Got a bowl and split with a friend. Really creamy with decent clam and potatoes. 5/5 field greens salad. The dressing is light, the cheese is delicious. The pecans are sweet and crunchy. One of my favorite salads ever. Not sure why it's so delicious! 4/5 crab cakes. Small portions but the cakes were flaky and the crispy fried scallions were so good I added to everything. Server was King, he was excellent, taking care of all our needs and so polite. He offered to split our entrees for us when we were having a hard time deciding. 3/5 halibut was sadly not very well flavored. 3.5/5 the ribeye wasn't as good as previous times. A bit chewy and flat. 4.5/5 garlic mashed potatoes with the entree didn't taste very garlicky so we asked the server to double check it was garlic. He came out with a giant replacement serving for us which was awesome and perfect. He indicated the chef added extra garlic which was exactly what we needed. We got a free dessert for our bday girl. She got the mixed berry cobbler complete with a candle and I got a crème brulee. 4/5 crème brulee, one of the better desserts I've had there. We also got a free champagne bottle for her bday l which was a nice touch. Inside was dim and dark but always feels very private. The entrees were less tasty than in prior visits which was a bit disappointing but prior visits were much better than expected so the bar may have been set too high. Hoping the food will be back on point next time, but overall still a solid visit.
