This is the only KFC in the area so every once in a while, I'll stop by for chicken. Twice, I've pre-ordered for a pickup and twice there were no sauces included in my order. I pre-order so I don't have to wait in line and I indicate what I want to be included. It's hard to eat popcorn chicken or tenders when there is no sauce. The store is very small so with the pandemic I can't afford to be too close to people. There is no social distancing and it's overall not very clean. The outside walkway needs to be power washed. It just feels dirty. This is a total take-out place. It is so small. You cannot feel comfortable sitting there to eat. Go someplace else. read more

This is the worst KFC that I experienced !! on May 19 2022, Thursday evening, around 8:30 I went to this location in SJC. I ordered 4 pieces combo meal . here what I saw when I opened the box at home: 1. missing mashed potatoes 2. the coleslaw was messed !!!! they put the wrong lid, smaller that the cup , that spilled to all over chickens , so ended up ate bad soggy chickens!!!! 3. no chicken breast that supposed to be in the package meal !!!! 4. there are super salty dried 2 pieces of tights + 2 drumsticks I was so upset seeing all this crap food that don't deserve paid for that price!!!! I went to KFC last week after seeing a commercial for their chicken sandwich. I wanted to compare it to the millions of chicken sandwiches available. Terrible experience. I'll never go back. Hopefully only SJC location and not systemic. 1. I ordered my sandwich. The guy rang up $4.99. I told him I just saw a commercial on TV saying $3.99. He said the commercial must be old. Funny. I saw it again on Sunday football. He didn't offer to change it, so I just paid. 2. Out of ice. I didn't order a drink, but people ordered drinks. I was craving fried chicken today and nearest was this KFC. I went there and ordered a 10 piece special along with 12 wings. I wanted it fresh so I didn't mind waiting. After 40 minutes my chicken was ready. I got home only to be very disappointed. The chicken was barely cooked and very bland. Pieces of chicken were stuck together during frying so parts of it were not cooked as you can see from the picture. It was not crispy. And no flavor at all. I'll stick to Popeyes next time. This is the only KFC near me, so I'm stuck. I only go here when I have a coupon to use; it'll cut about $10 off on a big family meal. Frequently they run out of original recipe legs and thighs (what's included in the family meal), and ask to substitute extra crispy... Tell them NO! and you can make them give you the breasts. 8/19/2017 So I decided to go buy dinner for family. I checked online what time they closed at and said 9pm. I was there at 835 . Once i parked a employee (employee without uniform male)peaked out the window to check if I was going inside. A female peaked out as well . I walked to the door and it was locked and a male employee opened up and said he didn't have chicken no more. ( they didn't want to help me out no more because they wanted to leave early I bet). Let me give you the rundown on this KFC. I'm gonna preface by saying that I really do enjoy KFC on occasion. It's good fried chicken when made properly, and the sides are hearty and usually delicious. That being said, I would COMPLETELY AVOID this one. This is a low-traffic KFC, which I'm going to mostly say, is because of their lack of drive-thru. It's kind of a pain to park your car in that parking lot (busy with other businesses) and order your KFC. Now, if they were properly stocked and ready for customers, this wouldn't be a problem. But because they lack high traffic, they RARELY, if ever, have enough food ready to complete a meal order, unless by chance you're ordering a single chicken leg. Otherwise, normal orders can take upwards of 10-15 minutes of waiting time, so that the kitchen can cook the food. THIS IS RIDICULOUS. Don't call yourself fast food then. Second, if you're gonna make customers wait. Clean the damn place up. It's like the staff has given up already. The nonchalant attitude of the staff almost drives the few customers away, because of their bad attitudes and boredom. Third, IF the customer's gonna wait more. Be courteous about it. Don't piss and moan in Spanish to your coworker, we live in SoCal... you're not speaking some foreign language. Don't try to sell me on a different product, so you don't have to cook anymore. It'd probably be gross and old, if you actually had it available. Now by this time, you're thinking, but at least the food will come out great 'since it's freshly made. Well sorry to burst your bubble, but it's not going to be so mind-blowing great, frankly 'cause it's KFC. It's frozen chicken, refried, and sold at a moderate price. PIus with this location, you've gotta go back to your car and drive your ass back home before you get to even try the greasy almost undercooked chicken because this location rushes their cooking 'since they're not at all prepared. This place needs to close down already, or otherwise add a damn drive-thru. read more

I have been a patron of this location since it opened in the very early 1980s. It used to be a treat when I was an adolescent and as a young adult. I can't recommend it at all now. I have eaten at KFC locations all over the USA and South East Asia(KFC is huge in Philippines and Malaysia) but have never had problems, even with language differences in other places I have lived, like in the location is San Juan Capistrano. The place is filthy. There is visible dust and grime on top of all the kitchen equipment and the vents and cordage. The crew disorganized. It seems there is an entirely different staff every time I come in. They are always out of something when I or pretty much anyone else I know goes to order. 9 times out of ten they will screw up your order. As I type this, I came in about an hour before closing and they had no extra crispy chicken. The manager was cool about it and without prompting offered a free drink for my very slight inconvenience. So, at least the manager has some sense of customer service...... that is the guy working tonight. That said, this joint has definitely gone downhill in the last 3 years or so. Corporate really needs to send some quality control inspectors here and get this place back on the ball. read more

Since my dog has but a few more weeks or days to live, this is one of the only things he will eat. 1 star for having to wait 15 extra minutes for the chicken to be ready. This is the closest KFC to where I live. I happened to be in the neighborhood and had to stop in. This location did not disappoint. Helpful and cheerful staff and a huge menu. I personally had the $5 fill up, which includes an entree, side, biscuit, drink and cookie. A very filling lunch. This location offers really nice outdoor seating and tons of parking. I was craving KFC so stopped by the SJC location at 3:00 today. There was a couple of people in line. No big deal. The cashier wasn't taking orders but very slowly breaking open coin rolls for the register. I mean snail pace slowly. Again patiently waiting. I've never seen anyone move more slower and in shock that he doesn't care that a line is forming. Cashier is finally ready to take the first person's order. The customer only spoke Spanish but was pointing to the menu item he wanted. The pointing at the menu and questions to the non English speaking customer continued for another 5 minutes. This was very frustrating. After being in line for 15 minutes and witnessing the lack of service had me fed up and I left. Whoever the manager or owner of this place is, you gotta get better people in there that care to provide service!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

Sad place. Showed up last night a half an hour before closing, I ordered the 12 piece only to be told "Sorry, we don't have any chicken". Another 3 guests came in after us only to hear the same thing "We don't have any chicken". We all settled for the chicken they did have, which was far from "fresh" ! No breasts, no drumsticks, only wings and thighs, we settled for chicken strips. They were marginal at best. The price for a bucket is more then it says on the KFC website, $28 instead of $21. They also charge more for getting sides other than mashed potato's and coleslaw.
