Don't go here for an online order if you're in a hurry! 2 times now I've done this, and they start my order when I get there! Other places have your order ready to go at the time you require when placing the order. Not only that, but I noticed they had forgotten to add the vegetables I had paid for. Basically flame broiler but not as good, they do have more options than flame broiler I didn't try so maybe those ones are better & the way to go. read more

Incredibly rude employee. Been a customer for YEARS and the older asian gentleman was trying to charge me $0.30 for a SAUCE PACKET. Not the larger sauce cups which I would understand, but the Waba sauce packet that they give free with every order. He then made snarky remarks about me not wanting to pay the $0.30 and "oh the $10 discount wasn't enough" (since I had spent $140 and got a $10 reward!) IN FRONT OF OTHER CUSTOMERS and then the cherry on top he asks the next customers if they wanted sauce for free!! He then explained that sauce packets are free if you purchase in store but if you order online they are not free, so since I placed a pickup order I would have to pay for sauce, which makes ZERO sense. He was very belittling. Insane way to treat a customer who has been coming there for years and after telling my mom she reported that she has been treated similarly recently too by the same guy. The last time I am ever going to this location which is a shame since I've been coming here since grade school and have spent hundreds of dollars if not more here. Lost a lifelong customer over a sauce packet. Hope it was worth it Waba. read more

We have always loved Waba and usually get the steak rice bowl; we usually also get a side of steak to supplement. However recently the steak rice bowl isn't living up to its name; it should be called steak-flavored rice! It's basically a huge bunch of rice with a little steak sauce with tiny flakes of steak. Only the side of steak has actual recognizable steak strips! It's also more salty than before. Please provide just a few strips of steak in the bowl to make it worth the cost again; I can make rice at home; Where's the Beef?! read more

For the last few years the customer service and quality of food has gone way down. Not only do they want to charge you for the free packets of sauce that is supposed to come FREE with your order (and this is selective on who you are and how you order! I've seen people get them free right in front of me! And the attitude you get if you ask them why? So RUDE!!!). But also the size of the chicken tacos has decreased to be so wimpy it's ridiculous. My family and I have been coming here for over 10 years great food always fresh cooked perfectly and I love the added menu items over the years. My favorite is the teriyaki chicken bowl with avocado on top Yumm with the best sauce ever. The owner and employees are very nice and seating area inside and out is very clean. read more

If i can leave a 0 star i would. Been here before and have been getting the boom boom sauce for free. This time the so called " owner" was there and wanted to all the sudden charge me for sauce . I told her first of all they don't have a sign that states it's extra which is falsely done. She proceeded to argue with me and told her you know what just give me a refund and I'll go somewhere else. She and her husband couldn't speak fully English and that's terrible for business. It truly sucks but now they've lost 3 customers due to their poor management behavior. ( i have a business and always honor an upset client something ) they need to train better. The staff here is very friendly! This location seems to be family-run and it shows with their attention to their customers. I got the chicken teriyaki with veggie bowl, which was delicious! It was just the right size and had a good amount of chicken. I'm pretty picky when it comes to cookery of vegetables, but the carrots, cabbage and broccoli were all cooked (at least in my opinion) perfectly. *Ask for extra sauce on the side if you're a saucy person! read more

So start by saying very nice young man at the register. But the Owner /manager guy cooking had the air conditioner off on a super hot day . It was unbearable. What was worse was that the food didn't taste great like it usually does and the portion size was a joke!! TINY TINY TINY! I've been to the other locations and they have always been nice portion sizes and clean. But we both did not feel well after eating at the laguna Niguel location. This was my friends first time eating there and he said he thought it was a rip off for the amount of food they gave us! Got the regular sized poke bowl @ 15.00 when you serve a skimpy kids size it should at least taste and be of good quality. The tuma was bad and the overall bowl was very salty. read more

I was here in the morning and they took longer than usual. I was told it would be 2/4 minutes. I waited over 15... not sure if they actually forgot my order and realized a little too late once I walked to the counter which is when I noticed they had just began to fix my meal! Anyways it's an inconvenience to be told that it will be done quickly yet I had to wait for longer then expected. My son and I came in for the first time today. Very clean and a very nice woman taking the order. My son who absolutely loves Raising Canes really enjoyed his chicken bowl. Food tasted fine and always has but owner is very stingy with the sauces. She doesn't give you a packet of teriyaki with your bowl and tells you that it "already has it." Well I think most people want more than just the amount put on when the food is being prepared lol. Seriously how much can one packet of teriyaki sauce really cost? She will give it to you if you ask for it, but is reluctant to and appears visibly annoyed with your completely reasonable request. I will say that when she isn't there, the other workers are totally cool about giving you some extra sauce. All in all, I see WaBa as completely equal to Flame Broiler but WaBa is closer to my home. However, I've found myself often opting for Flame Broiler as the employees there never give me a hard time with the sauces, they even ask me if I want more. The owner of this WaBa location should learn to be less stingy like Flame Broiler. Stop giving customers a hard time when they want extra teriyaki sauces and don't charge for the other sauces either (at least the first one). read more

Attentive staff. Food is good and fresh. Every time I go, the quality of the food never lets me down.

So happy WaBa has tofu! Everyone who works here is so kind and it doesn't take too long to get your food. But, every time I've been here it hasn't been consistent. One time I got tofu cooked so well done that it was almost rubbery, another time it was perfectly cooked, and a time after that it was barely grilled. I think their portions are fair and I like the many options they have on their menu. Tip: you need to ask for WaBa sauce (they have hot sauce and soy sauce available to take but other you ask for). It's usually clean in here, and usually very busy! There's a good parking lot and they're located right across from the bank. Overall I do enjoy WaBa and will be returning due to the portions and awesome service. read more

We come here or used to anyone several times a week, and the guy (not the lady she is very nice) but the gentleman who checks you out in front, gives me a hard time , every single time I ask for sauce. Don't bother joining the WaBa Grill text club. Owner refuses to honor free bowl coupons provided directly by WaBa Grill themselves, with no good reason. I joined their own text club right on the WaBa Grill website, received a coupon from them and the owner refused to provide the complimentary bowl for no reason. Wasted a bunch of time going back and forth, only to be turned away after driving all the way here. Ownership shouldn't offer coupons and then completely refuse to honor them without any valid explanation. I wasn't attempting to use any other coupons with it, order a different menu item, etc. Just literally ordering two bowls and using the free 1 Bowl coupon they gave me, but the ownership here refuses to honor it. read more

I placed an order online around 6:45 the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. I was given no indication that they were closing early that day. My husband went to pick the food up and was told by the workers that they are not filling the order because they were closed early. He was told that the charge to my credit card would be refunded but it's now days later and the charge has not been reversed so now I have to spend time calling the credit company to decline the charge. I've been a waba grill fan for a long time. This location is by far my favorite. They cook their meat very well, not burnt at all. My main reason for the 5 stars is how accommodating they are. I order thru Postmates, but lately the delivery has been less than trustworthy. A couple times I've had my food "delivered" only to find nothing on my doorstep. I've been issued refunds and shortly after placed my order for pick up at the same location. Both times the manager (or whoever was closing) expressed her condolences for the situation and re-made my order fresh. It's a shame that Postmates allows drivers like this, they're going to lose great eateries like this waba location. All in all, thank you for making sure I received my order and was satisfied. read more

Not the employees fault, I'm sure, but they charge for sauce. And this is the first location I have gone to and ever been asked to pay for the sauce, so I was a little thrown off at first. They also over cooked my mom's salmon. It was really dry and tough. read more

I have been coming here since it opened and today when I ordered my half & half veggie bowl with no cabbage, I was told it would be $1 more for no cabbage. I asked why it costs more when I'm asking for less and the cashier said because they fill the bowl with more broccoli and carrots. I explained that I didn't want more of the other vegetables, just no cabbage. She then said the computer processes and extra dollar for this request, so I said she should tell the owner that this doesn't make sense and should be updated and she quickly said the owner's in the back. I asked her to tell her or I will if she's uncomfortable and she went in the back and came back out with the same answer. She then suggested I just ordered it as is so I didn't get an upcharge for requesting less food. I'm never one to not clean up after myself but I left my bowl on the table as I left so that they could see they were throwing away produce that they're customer requested they keep. I'm not sure what they're repeat client acquisition cost is but surely it's more than a $1 and I'm truly compelled to not return to this location strictly for principle. Hope the owner will read this and see how ridiculous it is to charge your customers more when they request less in their bowl. read more
