Disgusting! My has KFC plummeted to new lows. Required delivery - ordered two 4 piece boxes 1 each style. Supposed to receive a half chicken - breast, leg, wing, thigh with rolls and 2 potatoes n gravy. What I got was two 3 piece boxes which totaled 4 thighs and 2 tiny legs, smashed rolls and only 1 mashed potato and 3 Mac n Cheese. Tonight 6/22/24 at the Youngs Road store drive thru in Tonawanda, New York at exactly 10:27pm I was told I couldn't order dark meat because the store was closing in half an hour, all the fryers were already turned off, and all they had was crispy white meat. I bolted right over to McDonald's next door, where the grills were still hot. What kind of customer service is that? If you're open till 11pm then you should be prepared to serve the ENTIRE MENU until you close. That's what CLOSING means ... you stop serving at CLOSING. Not turn your fryers off at 10 pm or whatever and only serve dried out leftovers. Is that what we pay for? I think not. I have a personal interest in this store continuing to serve until closing, because they are serving me and my community. I sure hope you can do something about this. It's just not the way things should be done. If you're turning off the fryers at 10pm, then you may as well close at 10pm. Figure it out. Let us know (as in me and my community) the outcome. Ok , here we go. So, I haven't had KFC in forever, but my fiancé wanted it tonight. I placed the order thru the app. Easy enough. I have been seeing the commercial for the Chicken Sandwich a lot lately & wanted that cause it looked sooooo good. I should know better, right ?? We get there to pick up our order & the doors are locked. We had specific instructions to go in, look at the cart, find out order with my name on it , take it & go. Well that didn't happen. So, I went thru the drive thru & she told me to come to the window. I get there & food was all bagged & ready she just had to get us our drinks. We ordered 2 Diet Pepsi's & 1 regular Pepsi. She hands me 2 drinks and closes the window. I sat there waiting. She looked at me all confused. I told her I was waiting for my 3rd drink. She asked what I ordered & I told her. She gave me the 3rd one, but none were marked, so we didn't know which one was the regular. Had to taste that nasty thing before I found out. (Btw-Food was all cold in the bag already) We got home, I sorted the stuff out. My chicken sandwich was so flat & not flaky & crispy like it was supposed to be. The fries were horrible, even my son thought so. The sandwich was not great. But, as usual, even cold, imo , they have the best mashed potatoes & gravy ,Hands Down !!! I couldn't even finish my FINGER LICKING GOOD CHICKEN before I jumped on here and started this review....I want to give credit where credit is due! Today is National Fast Food Day and what better way to celebrate than KFC! It must of been my lucky day because I ordered a 3 piece and they gave me 4!!! Comes with 1 dipping sauce....gave me 4!!! So im already happy before indulging. But mainly I was super caught off guard on how friendly the worker was...pulled up to the drive thru and could hear the friendliness in the guys voice right off the bat...pulled around and no suprise-guy was cool. I always ask for ketchup packets (and usually fast food workers huff and puff at me)...this guy gave me a huge handful. It is nice to have such friendly workers now-a-days!! Wow. I wish all I could say was wow but it's like, wow, wtf did I just eat. First I went through the drive thru. Line was moving fast..... because they were having everybody park! I ordered a chicken sandwich meal and a small Mac and cheese. After waiting over 15 min for my food, they brought it to my car and only gave me a small amount of fries! Like literally only one side had fries. The guy was still walking away so I asked, Can I please have my fries filled as I've been sitting here for over 15 min, and you didn't even fill up my fry cup. He said he'd bring a new one back out. My daughter and I took a fry each..... they were STALE! How can a place this busy have stale fries??? Are they piling new fries on top of old fries and I just got the bottom?? The fries he brought out were half full lol so I guess they made me whole, and they were hot and fresh and tasted good (completely opposite of the first fry!) BUT HAD A PIECE OF PLASTIC RIGHT ON THE TOP!!! Like there was NO way of missing it when someone was putting it in the bag! Wtf was it?? See picture. Hello!! I ordered a chicken little meal. The chicken was perfectly cooked, and I received the mashed potatoes (instead of fries, but note: they didn't ask which side I wanted and I had to assert it quickly myself in the drive through) without gravy as requested. Apparently there are multiple types of iced tea; I requested a half-and-half of lemonade and iced tea and it was substantially sweeter than what I was expecting. I was expecting my lemonade to be cut with unsweetened iced tea; instead, it was fused with raspberry sweetened iced tea. I added some lemon juice when I got home to alleviate the excessive sweetness. However, I didn't have anything to fix the little chicken little problem: the chicken littles came without pickles. How sad! I really was looking forward to the zing they add to the sandwiches. If they were out, I wish I would have been warned; if not, I'm curious as to why they're missing. Finally, no receipt. I thought it would be in the bag, particularly because I was handed my drink before my meal was prepared yet the straw was withheld to be placed in the bag, so it seemed like everything was going in the bag. Nope. No receipt, and no offer therefore. If I dine here again, it'll only be dine-in so issues can be fixed. read more

Kentucky Fried Chicken is the ultimate cheat meal and a place I've always had a soft spot for. A few weeks ago my girlfriend and I came here as part of our annual purge (we only eat at each of he fast food places once a year and we call it the purge). This KFC was actually fairly busy when we arrived and there was a short wait (which is not a problem at all, good for them). I settled on ordering a famous bowl (Mashed potatoes, cheese, popcorn chicken, gravy), a Georgia gold chicken little, and my girlfriend and I split a popcorn chicken. There was one large problem that I can't let go....all the popcorn chicken was kind of burn, therefore making it kinda not great. The flavour was weird, the chicken was hard, and if not only basically ruined the famous bowl, but the popcorn chicken itself came from the same place, and you know what's kind of ruins a meal, burnt chicken. The Georgia gold slider was pretty good and made up a little for the rest luckily. Overall, the burnt chicken put a damper on the annual KFC purge and made it kind of a flop. The Georgia gold slider was good, most of the famous bowl was decent although the chicken was not great, and the popcorn chicken on the side suffered from the same problem. This trip will not make me not come to KFC again, but I might think twice about returning to this location. read more

When you want fried chicken, you go to Nashville. Living in buffalo, that's a heck of a long trip for some chicken. Enter, KFC. This location isn't my favorite, it usually a little dirty, usually busy, and does not have a Taco Bell attached to it like others in the area. But it's closest to the house, so it works in a chicken pinch. I used to like the popcorn chicken when I was a kid,but now it's kind of bland tasting and doesn't have the crunch I want in a chicken bite. Now, I'm all about that Georgia good sauce. You can get it on tenders, a chicken little sandwich, or the full size sandwich and it is what's up. It's like liquid gold dusted on to meat. Perfection. KFC stands for King of Fatal Coronaries, because that's what this place will give you. This KFC is right next to the I-290 at the Colvin exit. I was here about 6 months ago and again 4 months ago (both in 2015) to get 3-piece meals for an old lady I know who loves chain food. I shared some with her and while the taste of some things were good, the prices were obnoxious, and the service was pretty awful. I took awhile to figure out how to order, and they were clearly exasperated with me. I waited ages for the food to be ready, and asked for silverware, and none was provided. Definitely a 1 star then. I won't lie, I like the taste of Kentucky Fried Chicken, but when the hell did the prices go up from Wendy's prices to Boston Market prices? Over $10 for a few pieces of chicken and a few sides? The chicken is delicious (because it's hot, greasy and salty), but it's massively overpriced. Also it's very over-salted. I like salted stuff but I think a lot of people would (or should) find this too salty. However, this location is decently friendly and so I'll bump them up from a 1 to a 2 for that reason. Like any other fast food chain, KFC is pretty standard when it comes to price, food, service, and ambiance. Nothing too special about it but if you're craving fried chicken, you know KFC can satisfy you. Food (2/5): I've definitely had way better fried chicken, namely in Nashville (nothing can beat my hot chicken) but that's kinda far and to be honest, there's not a lot of places to get fast food fried chicken here in Buffalo aside from this and Popeye's. I prefer Popeye's personally but it was a bit far from where I live so this serves its purpose. Price (3/5): Standard fast-food pricing ~$6-$10 per person depending on what you order. We came in a group of 8 and ordered like 32 chicken with several sides for a total of around $11 per person; that was pushing it. Ambiance (2/5): This place was really small but enough to feed several hungry people. Pretty decent if you want to eat in though! Service (4/5): They were actually super nice! As mentioned, we came and ordered 32 chicken, which they were not ready for, so because we had to wait for our chicken to be fried, they gave all of us free drinks (not bad at all!). Ha! I never give reviews on a fast food restaurant. This is very specific to this location. I know the previous review did not give this place high marks. Which is justified. I was the same. But I believe the management has changed over the past two years. Or maybe even the ownership. They also rebuilt the whole place inside and out. Therefore, I'm reviewing the new and improved store. My previous experiences over two years ago were horrendous. I had stopped going there with the same attitude as the the other reviewer. The previous cashiers that worked there were...well...uneducated. I won't even go there. No point. I like to give reviews that will help you make educated decisions. Even when it comes to a fast food restaurant. I'm pretty sure they canned their old employees and the current staff seems more customer service oriented. Many of them smile. A lot! More than I expect. I know that sounds funny but I had the old staff to compare them against. Enough said. But I do believe when they go out of their way to rebuild the whole building plus lot that give me a push to give them a shot again. Great customer service and the food was as good as you can get for a fast food joint. Not much to say about KFC chicken. Their formula has been the same since I was little. I actually enjoy their crispy hot wings. And I know that's crazy living here in Buffalo. I'm not a true Buffalonian. I'm a west coaster so I'm more apt to lean toward corporate foods chains. I said hello 5 times before she turned around and when I confronted her she said she was one of the managers and it was no big deal. This happened a while ago but I realize now Yelp! is a good place to be honest with such reviews. I stopped on the way home from work and picked up some chicken meals for the family and when I got home I was missing the buns. I figured I would let it go. A couple months later I decide to stop again. This time I get home and there is no order of mashed potatoes. I called KFC and said it was frustrating that I didn't get my full order (and I really had a taste for mashed potatoes and gravy). The KFC employee said if I drove back he would give me my potatoes. I told him that the idea of a family meal is to eat together and I didn't want to drive back there as by the time I got back home my food would be cold and I wasn't going to make my family wait to eat. The KFC guy was apologetic and said that he would write my name in the log book and next time I came in to place an order I just needed to say that I was owed an order of mashed potatoes (and bring the receipt) and if the clerk on duty had a question she could verify it in the log book. (I had to wonder how often they miss items if they have a whole log book dedicated to it.) Another month passed and I decided to pick up dinner at that KFC. I placed my order and said to add a side of mashed potatoes for which I would not be charged because I had paid the last time. The clerk said that she could not give free food away. I whipped out the receipt which I had kept in my wallet for just this occasion. The clerk said that the receipt showed I paid for the mashed potatoes but it didn't PROVE I didn't get the potatoes. I said that I would not lie about one order of mashed potatoes. The clerk actually had to gall to say people do it all the time. (What! People are always scamming KFC for an order of mashed potatoes?!) It was then that I said this clerk need only to check the log book of missing food for the date on the receipt and my name would be listed. The clerk said THERE WAS NO LOG BOOK OF MISSING FOOD. The clerk then most sarcastically asked the other KFC chicken slingers if they ever heard of such a thing and they all rolled their eyes. I was humiliated. Was this a prank they pull on their own customers? Is this a joke to the KFC staff? Did they have to say that I was a thief in front of the customer line behind me? And to keep a customer, would it have thrown off their profits for the month if they had just handed me the mashed potatoes? Well, this episode ends with the clerk insisting that I pay for my sizable order (including paying for the mashed potatoes). But by that time I had no appetite for anything KFC. I left without my order and my family has not suffered since not having had KFC for dinner again. read more

After calling, I rushed back there and the blasé attitude of the manager was something else. When I told her this has happened before and I said nothing, she said she knew.
