Why did they close down the excellent Endicott location instead of this trainwreck?
Only been there a few times and each time it gets worse. Most recent trip sealed the deal that we won't be returning. We shouldn't have to speak to literally every single staff member working there (including a manager) and jump through bizarre, nonsensical hoops just to get a very basic 8-piece order correct.
First sign of trouble was a new cashier who literally didn't seem to know what she was doing and kept messing up our order. Not a huge deal, since she was a new trainee and I understand. But nobody was there to help, so it took like 10 minutes just to order and we had a feeling it wasn't correct. She also seemed to have an attitude, which turned us off. Next, we were told our "special order of all dark meat, extra crispy with extra biscuits" would be a 45 minute wait. We clarified that we didn't do any such special order, which lead to a lot of eye-rolling and exasperated gasps/scoffs from the staff, as we then proceeded to talk to each staff member one-by-one as they tried to figure out our order, which was literally just "basic 8 piece, original recipe." Nobody seemed to understand this, so every couple minutes, we'd have someone else come up and try to figure out what we wanted. Eventually the really strung-out-looking manager stepped in, and it got even more ridiculous...
The best/most-insane part was twice in a row, we told the manager TO HIS FACE what we wanted, then he would turn around and bark out something completely different to his staff! I'm not joking. What universe does he live in? THEN when they finally did bring out the correct order, he sent it back before we could take it and told them it was wrong! (Only for it to be brought back out a minute later, with a staff-member correcting US and telling US that they got it right... even though we weren't the ones who sent it back and we knew it was right!) And to top it off, I heard another staff member behind the counter mumbling and whining, blaming US for THEM screwing up our order so badly. Yes, because it's somehow our fault that our order of "basic 8-piece, original recipe" somehow got misconstrued as "special order, all-dark-meat, extra-crispy with extra biscuits" and then went through a million other iterations because nobody there knows what their doing, smh.
After, we realized we were so confused because all of the insanity and nonsense that we didn't even notice they didn't bother to ask what sides we wanted and evidently just threw in whatever they had sitting there.
At least when we got home we realized they rang it up wrong and under-charged us... So there's a silver lining.
And for all my complaining about the staff, there was one single staff-member who was actually quite nice and was the only one there who seemed to know which end was up. Older lady who I swear used to work at the Burger King near the Vestal High School about 10 years back before it closed. (Though I could be wrong) Put her in charge of the place! She's the only one who actually seemed to give a crap about the place and about our order.
Overall though, the mostly inattentive staff (some of which had attitude problems), laughably bad management and only so-so food just aren't worth it. read more
