If you been to one KFC, you've been to them all in my opinion. I don't have high expectations for fast food places. What stands out for me is customer service. Most of the time I meet nonchalant or disinterested employees. Some appears to not even want to be there. My first time here was surprisingly pleasant. I met young Carlos who went out his way to make sure I was satisfied with my order. I wanted 12 wings but flats only. Called first but no answer so I drove there and went inside. Employees were busy with drive through orders. Carlos took my order and went to check if they had enough flats. Came back and said they only had 8 flats. So I said ok to 4 drums and 8 flats. Next I asked for a lot of gravy on my mash potatoes. When my order was ready, instead of just handing me the bags, he pulled out the mash potatoes and asked if it was enough gravy, even offer to give me a side of extra gravy if it wasn't enough. At the end, asked if there was anything else he can help me with. Now this definitely makes Wylie KFC stands out! read more

You know while the food was good I wouldn't go back here for a while. The window person was the most morose disgusting unappealing an impersonal window person I've ever encountered in any of the fast food restaurants I've ever been to. Wrost place ever. Act like the sweet tea was out, but I saw someone make some 5 mins before I ordered. They just don't want to get it from the back they should keep it out at the front for people that order in restrant. Ordered extra sauce on my spicy chicken and charged 2.00 for extra sauce and did not get extra sauce and the chicken look raw i hope i dont get food posioning, and they charge for ranch, and it was supposed to come with my meal they are trying to to make more money. Came here due to the fact I had a coupon. Hadn't been back since high school due to knowing the employee's who worked here and let's just say chicken wasn't their top priority. Was happy with the prices and meal selections available but got home, which is 30 min away only to realize they forgot a biscuit. This wouldn't annoy the average person too much but I'm trying to gain curves and also like I said life a bit away. Came back a week or two later and brought up the fact they left out a biscuit to get into an argument with the manager over something that cost less than 2$. at 9:00 tonight, I arrived to order dinner. I waited in the drive through line for 15 minutes noticing that the two cars in front of me drove off with nothing. I pull up am told that they have NO chicken! What?!?!? I said, "You're sign says you don't close until 10". I was told by the little guy at the drive up window " well, ran out of chicken at 8:30". I'm sorry! I used to be in the food service business. You are supposed to be a FULL SERVICE BUSINESS until you close and I know it doesn't take that long to cook that chicken. I watched "FOOD THAT BUILT AMERICA". the Colonel would be turning over in his grave!!!! This isn't the first or second time I have had issues with them being either out of chicken or out of the specific type of chicken I ordered, or even pieces of chicken missing when I got home with my food. Just drove through the KFC in Wylie and ordered a famous bowl with 6 boneless wings. The guy at the window was very short and snappy and ended up charging me for the bowl AND two 3 piece chicken meals instead of the wings. I'm probably not the only one who thinks about greasy, artery-clogging chicken when I think KFC. But one lazy weeknight my pantry was empty, and my only other walking distance option was McDonald's (UGH). And since KFC seems to be doing alright with their grilled chicken (the calorie counts on their website are low enough to be suspicious), I returned for the first time in a long, long while. Fried taboo aside, this specific location was always alright to me. I remember when I was a kid and Star Wars Episode One had just come out, and KFC was doing that huge promotion with the collectible toys and your drinks/chicken boxes coming with a character pog and collecting certain sets meant certain prizes. The staff was always nice to me in my pursuit to collect it all, and would smile and sneak me extra game pieces from time to time. But of course that was more than a decade ago, and who knows how things could change? Wary, I gave the drive-thru a shot. The male voice that greeted me through the voice box was unbelievably peppy and polite, going the route of the "my pleasure!" service you would see at Chic-fil-A. Since I knew what I wanted, he had me through the order process in ten or fifteen seconds. Pretty stinking efficient. When I drove up to the pick up window I was greeted with a great big smile from the cash register girl (if it wasn't a genuine smile, than she's a pretty good faker). She already had my food ready and handed it over with the same pep and polite manner that the voice box man delivered. More smiles and "thank you" and "your welcomes followed." Overall I was in and out of that drive-thru in no more than forty-five seconds, if that. It was so fast I was dazed. The food was pretty good. KFC is KFC (but I've definitely seen worse from different locations). It was a pretty satisfying amount of food for five bucks and some change. The service really made it, though. I will definitely think twice and give this KFC a serious consideration the next time I want to be lazy about my dinner. read more

Customer service has been exceptional in the past 8-12 months. Not sure what changed but you can tell service is big for them. Food is always great. I have never had an issue with their food. Lack of daily specials kinda sucks, it can get expensive for just a few pieces of chicken and sides. It's the price that makes me go elsewhere sometimes. read more

The employees really need to be re-trained. We ordered two meals, we wanted to sub one of the pieces for a breast. They did not understand the concept. We ended up with an extra piece all together. On top of that, we got the wrong sides, and the mashed potatoes had a long hair in it. And the biscuits were soaked in oil from the chicken, pretty much inedible. I haven't eaten KFC in years so I thought I would give this a try. Placed my order in the drive through for their #3 $7.99 3 piece box. When I was asked what I wanted, I asked if I could have a breast and two drums, which they said was ok. The employee kept getting the details of my order wrong even after I repeated what I wanted. He finally said, "is mashed potatoes and cole slaw ok?" I said yes and pulled through. Picked up my order, paid and started to drive off. I looked at my receipt and it said $10.27? I looked further and it said "2 breasts and 1 wing". I checked the box and did receive what I ordered "1 breast and 2 drums" so I had to park, go inside and try to settle the issue. When I came in I was met by what seemed to be the manager and I explained what happened. He said I ordered a #6 3 piece that comes with 2 sides. I said no I ordered a #3 and received a #3 but the receipt showed a #6. He argued a bit more and I just said "look it seems there is a miscommunication here" He proceeded to grab the food and slam it into the garbage can. I told him I was happy to eat the food, I just wanted to be charged correctly, but if he was going to act this way he can just give me my money back. He grabbed $10 in bills from the register and angrily handed it to me. I asked where the rest of my change was and he simply said "no". So I just left. I come up to the Restaurant about an hour before closing, and all the outside lights are off. (Looks closed) All I order is the Famous Bowl meal.
