I feel so lucky to be a patient here! It's tough finding a good chiropractor. I went without one for 7 years and suffered from chronic upper back, neck, and shoulder pain. Every time I come here, the receptionist is so incredibly rude. The doctor is great but she is so unkind that I don't think I can return. Last straw; I had an appointment today and apparently the doctor is sick, but no one called me to let me know. I had no missed calls or voicemails of any kind so just wasted 45 minutes of my day getting over here and back for nothing. And her attitude certainly didn't help. Dr. Mha Atma is very good at what he does. He is the first chiropractor I've ever been to. My godparents recommended him to me because I had been having back pain. I'm glad I did because I feel so much better. My insurance doesn't cover this, but it's still affordable if you have to pay out of pocket. The office is clean and covid conscious. Everyone wears masks and the surfaces are sanitized. I definitely recommend coming here if you're looking for chiropractic care. read more

Visited the office yesterday afternoon and had an adjustment--amazing! I could barely walk, my back was so swollen that I looked like Quasimodo. Today, I'm walking normally and most of the swelling has subsided. An informational video is played prior to seeing the doctor. He then did a thorough assessment and identified the problem pretty quickly; no x-rays needed for me. He was very calm, well-spoken and explained everything to me as we went along. I've had ongoing lower back problems for the last 12 years and have seen over 15 different doctors in the Los Angeles area, all within the first 3 years of my back injury. Many chiropractors took X-rays, hooked me up to electrical shockers, told me one of my legs was longer than the other etc....all unnecessary and many of them flat out wrong. The first time I went to see Dr. Mahatma he was very thorough in his explanation of what chiropractic is supposed to be and how my back actually works. He didn't use any X-ray equipment because his approach is natural and he is so skilled where he could just feel my back and find the problems. Once he actually started the therapy it was very simple, to the point and quickly aligned my back and neck which immediately alleviated the pain and corrected both my posture and walk. I've been recommending Khalsa to all my friends and anyone that has back issues. Everyone I know can vouch for this guy and the results they get. My mother was in a car accident about a month ago and she started to experience lower back pain after the accident. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. We have been going for years. We can ALWAYS call to get an appointment. The office opens really early and on some Saturdays. There is always parking on the street. The staff if very friendly. We hardly ever have to wait in the lobby- which is fine while we enjoy a dozen different free teas and free apples. I get a pinch in my neck and tension in my chest. My wife used to have killer headaches. Our chiro fixed these issues and now we go in for weekly maintenance to stay loose and take the pinches out of our necks. read more

THIS is how all medical offices should operate. Dr Khalsa is amazingly skilled and knowledgeable, but most importantly, for me, he has an incredible bedside manner. He listens, takes his time with diagnosis, and responds with great insight into what's going with your body. My lower back pain went away after just one visit; the adjustment was incredible. The tea and apples in the waiting room are an awfully nice touch, but my favorite was the doctor's phone call the next day to find out how I was feeling. I find it hard to believe Dr Khalsa has time to check in on every patient he sees, but the fact that he MAKES time says a lot about his character - and his practice. I LOVE THIS PLACE! I have been going to Dr. Khalsa for 35 years. I'm not a regular, maybe a few times a year. My insurance pays for it but I don't really go unless I'm having a problem. After two months of the lock down, getting no exercise, do three hours of zoom meetings a day, I was wrecked. Lower back pain, hip, knee. Awful. Then I get the notice that Dr. Khalsa is open again and I book a time. Two months of pain literally went away after one visit. I did two and it got better. I should go every week but... I really like Dr. Khalsa as well. It's a funny, down to earth guy. So knowledgeable and skillful. A LA treasure. read more

I've been going to Dr. Mahatma Khalsa for over 8 years. The first few years I went almost once a week, but the last few years only a few times a year for maintenance. The Doctor does have the delicate touch to heal and align you so can recover faster. The degree of skeleto-muscular issue I had was at the 8/9 on the 1 to 10 scale but after seeing the good doctors and doing my physical therapy/exercise it had come down 1/2 after few years. I started going to Dr Khalsa about four years ago and I liked him so much that I recommended him to my husband and he fell in love also. Everytime I go to his office to get adjusted I usually learn something new about being healthy and eating right. Last year I was being lazy and busy thought that I wouldn't need Dr Khalsa as often. I developed sciata and it was really painful that I wasn't able to get off the bed. I started going to him more and started acupuncture and it healed quite quickly. I got pregnant right after sciata and I was so afraid that I would develop it again because I read that it's quite common for pregnant women. I just kept going to Dr Khalsa once a week and sciata didn't come back at all. On top of that I could actually speed walk all the way until eight month. I would have Dr Khalsa adjust my son as well when he gets older. read more

Saw Dr. Khalsa a couple weeks after my first-ever back spasm had laid me low with constant sharp pain, extreme stiffness and weakness in the lumbar area. OMG is this what old age will be....after suffering and grimacing and trying to stretch, and taking any OTC pain pills I could get, I tried my first-ever chiropractic appointment. I asked the doctor not to do any of that neck-twisting cracking thing. He was very gentle, there was a bit of pushing here and nudging there and perhaps a slight crunch or two, but not painful or alarming. Some gentle turning me from side to side, and a kind of rolled-up hug at the end. When I got up off the table I nearly wept--my pain was mostly gone and I could stretch up and down. Range of movement at least 50% improved with one adjustment. I went back a couple days later, and maybe one or two more times...took care of it. Well that was almost 15 years ago, and I have been seeing Dr. Khalsa every 6 weeks (mostly) ever since. I believe these regular adjustments help me keep as active and moving as I like (now pushing 60), and help me avoid more problems due to working out, standing at work tables, hiking, etc. Now I can strongly recommend chiropractic in general, and this office in particular. read more

Love this guy! I found him through my insurance. Yes, he accepts insurance! I've been coming to him for a few years. I've had neck issues for about 20 years and have had MRI's, steroid injections into my spine and been on lots of meds. All helped somewhat but massage and chiropractic are always what helps most. I really like that he has wellness workshops for those who first come to him to explain how chiropractic works and to show people a truly holistic approach. He also has recommendations on herbs and vitamins, depending on what your issues are. It's easy to get an appt. and I am always in an out very quick. There is not parking lot but tons of street parking so that almost never an issue. Now that we've got my pain under control, I come in much less often for "maintenance" as I know my issue is a chronic one and keeping my neck/back in shape keeps the rest of me feeling good. read more

Dr. Khalsa is fantastic! I went to him with numbness and tingling in my torso and leg, and within 3 visits it was 75% gone. Whereas my general doctor was stumped about my symptoms (and my Dr is great), Dr. Khalsa pinpointed the causes right away (pressure on two groups of nerves, compounded by very low vitamin D).
