I love it when friends feed me. Its a love language we all embrace. Too feed someone is to tell…read morethem you care about them. We could all use more lovin'. Jeremy and I were driving to Pasadena, and I noticed a sign that a new Halal place had opened up in the shopping center where Dave's Hot Chicken (so good!! Check out my review!) Is located... in the same shopping center as hibachi buffet (see my review!)... across the street from Little India (see my review)... our friend Aimee had just told me about her love of falafel, and Naz's let's you buy just the falafel, without having to buy an entree. I mean, we bought entrees, but I like options. So I had the combo meat gyro, with lamb and beef, and I haven't stopped thinking about it since. The pita bread was lovely and soft. The meat was tender and deliciously spiced. Jeremy had one, too, but without lettuce. Jeremy also had the combo meat rice platter and I haven't seen him that happy to eat something in a long time. I'm pretty stoked that Naz's has locations everywhere, including right down the street from my apartment on Merritt Blvd.

I love this place! No thrills or expenditures on fancy seating, but very consistent food. I love…read morethat it typically takes less than 20minutes to be in and out with the chicken/lamb combo. My second favorite is the cheesesteak done with subbing it for chicken. It's cheesy and delish. Before you judge it's a normal menu item I am not being "extra". :) Hence this place is a wonderful, wonderful place for quick eats to go. Multiple locations and priced at a reasonable enough price to come biweekly.

I was driving back from Baltimore to the Fredericksburg, VA area on a weekday and was really…read moreinterested in enjoying some Pakistani food (not Indian, nor Persian, and definitely not Afghan) - I searched and saw there were lots of reviews (hundreds) on social media for this place, so I stopped in. It's not too far off the highway, so it was easy to get to. The inside was really dingey and rundown (but don't let this bother you, you're there for the food!) and there was a laminated menu on the counter to look at... The couple that runs it was there and the guy was friendly and helpful. I was in the mood for karahi, but I was by myself and typically restaurants make this for two people, so he suggested I get chicken curry. It took about 10 mins to make. First thing I did was taste the broth (the curry sauce) and it was spot on - AMAZING!!! Then I ripped into the naan and took to ripping chicken of the bone and enjoying... I scarfed that dish down in no time, and there was quite a bit there! The basmati that came with it was very tasty! And he brought me a ramakin of yogurt chutney (this is how chutney is supposed to be!) - it was fresh and soothed the spice of the dish. Regarding the spice level, he asked how I wanted it and I told him I was Pakistani to make it for me the same way he'd eat it and they got is right! Naan was excellent! Perfectly cooked, but the dough was great! Nice texture and flavor to it! Overall - I enjoyed my lunch and would come back! Definitely a place that sells all the typical kabobs, but don't sleep on their curries!!

Try Pakistani Punjabi food! Family run, nothing fancy at ALL. Every time I go there, there are…read morePakistanis eating there. You can derive your conclusion. Cheap for authentic taste!

1/12/22 We were made…read moreaware of this restaurant by a flyer of their menu that we received in the mail. There was also a coupon for $5 off of $25 or $10 off of $40. My husband placed a carryout order by phone for Chicken Tikka and Chicken Kabob to be picked up at 5:30. He called it in around 4:30. We specifically set the pick up time so that it would be ready when I was done with my nail appointment down the street. When I arrived, they apparently misunderstood and thought he wanted to place the order at 5:30. The staff member who may have been the owner apologized and said that it would take ten minutes. It was more like 20-25 minutes. Based on the orders I heard by phone and in person, all patrons were told their orders would take approximately 30 minutes to prepare. I don't know what the average wait time typically is, but it seems long to me. When I got home, my husband said that his order of Chicken Tikka was actually Chicken Botti. Although the order was wrong, he said it was decent. My Chicken Kabob, however, was horrible. Although I am generally sensitive to spices and seasoning, I have enjoyed Kabobs at other places. My husband generally likes Kabobs, but said it was not good and threw it away. He said Kabobs are typically on skewers and not ground meat. I had to heat up frozen food and wasted $12.99 on something I couldn't even eat. My husband said he would return to try the Chicken Tikka, but he's on his own. I won't be returning.

This new restaurant is in the same location that Paleti's Kitchen occupied. I started working in…read morethis shopping center and last week they changed the sign to Zaiqa Kitchen. Where the former business seems like they just did Indian food (this is based on their website, I never actually got the chance to go there), this new restaurant offers a few Indian dishes, Halal chicken and kebabs as well as American thing like fried chicken sandwiches and chicken wings. To test the waters, so to speak, I called in an order for the chicken botti over rice and was given a 15 minute time frame. When I arrived 15 minutes later, the order had been prepared and was waiting for me. I got the chicken botti with rice and they included a little container of a fantastic minty-herby green sauce for the chicken as well as a little side salad with romaine and chopped tomato, cucumber and red onion! This was a lot of food! Definitely enough for two, or leftovers for the next day. A coworker later went down and returned with samosas and chicken biryani so they possibly offer more selections than what they show on their website? Either way, I definitely will be ordering from here again and I suggest you do too!
