He was polite, to the point kind of Doctor. He was not warm in nature rather a matter of fact kind of Doctor. He is a specialist and a good one. He tells you what he thinks and gives you options and explains the options to you so you can choose for yourself. He is a good Doctor. His office is very clean. They keep cleaning everything you put your head up to as soon as the test is over with. They have an optical center and many other offices through out Southern California. They have glasses and prescription sunglasses. They even sell Gucci sunglasses. They have a wonderful asset at their office and her name is Lisa! My gosh she is warm hearted and so so funny. Quick witted as well and a smile so wide. She explains everything and is so very knowledgeable. If you go in nervous you come out laughing and happy and relaxed. It is a rare gift for someone that has a personality like Lisa. I had a great experience!

When we called for the appointment we were told they were booking 3 to 4 months out but had an opening at 2:30 so we took it. We arrived at 2:15 as instructed and after filling out the paperwork we waiting about an hour for her to be called in. She met with a nurse and the initial exam and then had her eyes dilated. She was then asked to return to the waiting area until she was called in to see the actual doctor. After another wait of approximately 20minutes she was taken into the room. She waited in that room for about 10 minutes until Dr. Trotter came in. Dr.Trotter invited me into the room as well and I found him to be very knowledgeable and friendly. He completed my wife's exam and explained all his findings to us both. Wait times aside we recommend Miramar Eyecare for all eye related issues. It is a very clean and professional practice.

I came in early and still waited for 1.5 hour to complete appointment. The technician did the eye tests and did not explain to me what the processes were. Eye doctor did the same thing. Just applied the medications in my eye without explaining what the medication was and what she will be doing. She did not explain to me the results of the eye xrays, her diagnosis - nothing. She just told Me she will inject my eye and then she did - it WAS PAINFUL! I ended up going back to my previous eye specialist even if I had to drive 45 miles away. I prefer my doctor being transparent with me, discussing the diagnosis, what meds I will be getting and just good bedside manner.

We were on the assumption that anesthesia was going to be general and found out during the surgery when my wife felt (pain) the needles on her eye. 2. She was told about staying looking down certain period for around 4 days after the surgery while the day after was told it could be weeks. 3. On the visit the day after the surgery when she got the patch removed she almost started crying because she could not see, then was told that was normal and it could take weeks, she should have been warned. 4. When seeing a different doctor the day after the surgery, little was explain other than "it looks normal", when my wife tried to ask about her concerns he seemed like on a rush to leave and left the assistant to answer. 5. She got paper listing two prescriptions for before and two after, we were told that not need to use the ointment and just use the two prescribed for before and one prescribed for after, I questioned "but the ointment is an antibiotic" and the assistant just responded that it was just if want it use at night to feel better. 6. I did my own search and found out that one prescription for before is an antibiotic same as the ointment, I assume that is the reason why the ointment is not needed. Throughout my research I found the vision issues for after the surgery so I was able to calm my wife, although I am not a doctor. In addition, I found there are two types of gas a fast acting and a long acting which I do not know what was used. I just hope the end result is as expected and faster than the unknown.
