Blink and you missed the entrance...I was looking for a full sized restaurant but instead it was a casual sit down with about six tables. There is table service - one lady who handles it all! She's the waitress, the staffer in charge of the online orders churning out of the machine, the person in charge of taking orders over the phone, running plates to and from the kitchen and she is in charge of the food pick up's. Phew! That was a mouth full. Fellow Yelper Sally suggested we try this place and we got there pre-dinner rush so we got our choice of seats. We picked a table for four knowing how much we were planning to order. Hee hee Started with the curry puffs as appetizers - nice and pillow-y with that flaky yet somewhat crispy edge. Three full sized puffs stuffed with good curry (it was not spicy) and potatoes. The waitress brought us some Thai hot sauce on the side as requested. But the puffs are served with the standard vinegar, onions and diced cucumber dipping sauce. And I did order a Thai beef salad (I asked for not spicy but it normally should be per the menu, there's one red pepper icon next to the dish listed) meant to be an entree but we ended up sharing it as an appetizer. It has a subtle fish sauce, cilantro and lime dressing. Just enough acidity and it paired nicely with the lettuce, tomatoes and sliced beef. It was refreshing for a summer salad option. For entrees, we ordered the crispy pork belly and Chinese broccoli. That was a really well executed dish. The broccoli was perfectly cooked - just well enough that it was tender to chew but still snappy. The pork belly was crispy and had great flavor. Chewed some of the fat, hey, that's why you ordered it. There's not a lot of fat so it's the right balance. I really enjoyed the texture of this dish. It came with rice but we skipped it to save room for the pad woosen noodles. It's a plate of clear glass noodles loaded with vegetables, think napa cabbage, tomatoes, scallions and mushrooms. Egg too! I saved room for the mango, sticky rice dessert. It was good since it was fresh mango but I did have better. Still worth a try if you like sweets. All in all a good value and authentic good eats.

The fried ice cream is a must try !!! It tastes really good and the workers are nice. I came here late on a wed night and they said they can sell me anything if it's fried.

Really tasty lunch specials! Loved everything that was ordered. - Tom kha w/chicken (mild)- creamy coconut soup with just a bit of spicy kick. I recommend this if you want a hearty soup and like coconut milk. - Pad Kee Mao - good flavor and good balance of protein + noodles - Papaya salad - refreshing (the papaya, carrots, and string beans were nice and crispy/crunchy) - Thai Sweet and Sour with Chicken - reminds me of the Chinese version of this dish. The sauce was good, but the chicken could've been flavored a bit more (the chicken didn't soak up the sauce that well). Great price, good portion, and tasty food. Will definitely return to try other dishes.

I enjoyed the pad seew and iced coffee. There is a lunch special which also includes a spring roll, soup, or salad. The staff was quick and friendly. The restaurant has seating but it is a smaller space. I will definitely be coming back!

1st time here & I got a small Tom yum soup ($6)-no bell peppers or tomatoes, mild, which was perfect! We got a Thai fried rice with shrimp & chicken which I can't speak for since I didn't try. They give a bottle of chili sauce on the side. I also ordered a seafood noodle (flat) soup which I highly regret. The soup is clear & extremely bland. I added a bit of the chili sauce which made the soup spicy but the seafood, noodles, & veggies were as bland as ever. Unless you like super bland food, don't order this dish. I wish I had just ordered seafood Tom yum instead.

My actual rating is 3.5 stars. This Woodside Thai spot is actually the third one that I have seen at this address. It appears that they have changed owners/names yet again. It is a cozy place with a handful of small tables. My overall experience is that the food here is solid, but it is a very standard Thai place overall. We had their basil fried rice, and noodle soup with duck. The portions sizes were very average, though they do give a decent amount of meat. Flavor wise, I thought that everything tasted fine, but everything was a little blander than normal. The basil fried rice for example was not spicy at all. Expect to pay standard prices - about $10-$11 for most entrees.

Khantong thai kitchen was absolutely splendid! Our meal opened up with a deliciously indulgent Thai iced tea. We got Thai dumplings for appetizer and they were full of flavor. The main course was panang curry and pad see ew, both equally mouthwatering! At the end we ended up adding the curry puffs as we couldn't pass our the chance of trying them; fluffy, crispy and flavorful! Khantong is just such an inviting place! And our server Scott was marvelous! Will be back soon!

Tiny, hole in the wall place that serves delicious home cooked Thai food. We had the wonton cheese bites as an appetizer and I tried their tofu miracle. I don't know what the miracle was supposed to be but my food was just very good - tofu, mushrooms, sprouts, and white rice. Everything seemed reasonably priced and they also had homemade coconut and lychee ice cream, which unfortunately we did not get to try this time. I do wish their menu was a bit more clear in regards to what is vegan/vegetarian friendly. I know Thai food often has fish sauce so it'd be nice to know what's safe to get without having to quiz the server each time.

Amazing service and wonderful people! The food is truly fulfilling and nicely plated. The staff treats you like family and always considerate towards the customers. They pay careful detail in preparing and packaging your food. In order to maintain cleanliness, they enforced Covid guidelines while having top-tier service.

Price-wise was excellent with most dishes around the $10-30 range. Portions were large and meant to be shared. As for the food itself, I honestly expected better. If it was ranking in the same leagues as Fish Cheeks, Pranakhon, and Bangkok Supper Club on Beli, I thought the taste would be phenomenal but it truly just tasted like any decent thai spot I could find in SoCal. The only difference is that in SoCal there would be little to no wait. I must clarify that my qualms is not with the restaurant but with NYC having an issue of overinflating certain places and establishing high expectations of otherwise normal restaurants just doing its thing. The pad see ew was my favorite, and I liked how wide and long the noodles were. Otherwise, their Michelin Yum Duk Pla Fu was just another mango salad to me, and I had wished that the catfish tasted more like fish than breadcrumbing. The green curry was decent, nothing special. Good price for what you get though. If the wait wasn't unnecessarily long, I would consider this a nice spot for cheap, yummy Thai.
