We were really Jones in for Thai food, and when we saw the reviews on yelp, we thought this would be a good bet. I called. They had with our order and then drove 10 miles to pick it up. The gentleman at the register was very polite and friendly. Our order was in a neat brown paper bag with the order ticket. Natalie stapled to the top. I looked the receipt over and in fact it was what we had ordered. I drove home and excitedly got out the dishes. We typically use for Thai food so we could watch a movie and enjoy our dinner. To my dismay, neither entrée was what we ordered. Furthermore, one of them was rather nasty tasting... And I am fond of all foods Asian, and not hard to please. I tried to call the restaurant no fewer than 11 times but kept getting a busy notice. Had I've been able to reach someone or even leave a message. I would've requested a refund. I know mistakes happen, but in this instance, it just is too much hassle to keep trying to get a hold of them and then drive the distance to and from to correct the error. We had lunch on Saturday at Khao Soi. My husband had Pineapple fried rice and I had Crab fried rice. I was not impressed with mine. The canned crab was mixed with a scrambled egg and plopped on top of some otherwise tasteless rice. $19.00 The Pineapple rice was much better with chunks of pineapple and prawns for about the same price. What a gem! Khao Soi had quite possibly the best authentic Thai food I've ever had, everything was on point - Pad Thai, Pad See Ew, and the Panang Curry which was packed full of flavor. It's a tiny restaurant with only a few tables inside; there's actually more outdoor seating than indoors. The outdoor setting is quite nice with the beautiful water views of Port Washington Narrows especially now that we're getting into the warmer season. read more

Why is the food so watery? We ordered 1 chicken Phad Thai and the crispy chicken basil! My chicken phad thai was overly watery and the noodles overcoooked and it even tasted salty. Our crispy chicken was like a soup and it was overly spicy and had way too much fish sauce in it. It wasn't even edible either. I highly recommend you not to go there or order anything from them. This is our new favorite Thai restaurant. There've been excellent restaurants in this Manette location before that have fallen by the way, so I really hope this one lasts. This isn't generic Thai food but very individualistic while remaining authentic. They have dishes I've never seen elsewhere, and their "standard" dishes have a real Thai chef's personal takes. We were frankly awestruck by how good everything we ordered was. Theirs is straight up the most abundantly bright and flavorful Thai cuisine I've had in at least a decade. Restaurants serving food like this are a rarity. The ambiance? They're right on the water overlooking the inlet, and they have outdoor seating with beautiful trees about- so the views are terrific (the interior has a relaxing vibe to it, but seating is in rather short supply). Best Thai food around the area hands down. It is a small restaurant with limited seating and would recommend calling in and picking up to go. There must be different chefs that cook on certain days because sometimes the Pad Thai is sweet and sometimes it's not (which I prefer not sweet). But almost always you can tell which chef cooked that day. Either way it's good! Great portions and the food stays piping hot when ordered to go. Service is excellent as always. read more

This place really hits the spot! I like how simple their menu is and how their food isn't too salty. I tried their beef basil broccoli dish with rice and it was delicioussssss. I was afraid of getting more spicy because in the past, the lowest level of spice at a Thai restaurant was pretty damn spicy. But safe to say level 1 here is basically no spicy-ness besides garlic. This is our favorite Thai restaurant in Kitsap and the only one that we ordered takeout from. Parking can be very challenging during busy hours so plan accordingly. My husband always orders the panang curry chicken-He says it's fantastic I always order the phad Thai tofu, crispy -medium spice. I will say after having this about 20 times you will never have the exact same experience. Sometimes it's really spicy sometimes it's sweet -the last time I went there It was just a really heavy dark sauce and did not taste like what it usually does? I think the chefs rotate out a lot. I wish it was more consistent but it's always delicious. Portions have gone down so far in the last four years but the price goes up. Everything we tried was delicious! They have only been open around 4 months and only 1 before quarantine so I really hope they make it and we can go back next time we are in the area. Our picky boys loved the garlic broccoli with beef - high end version of broccoli beef. I thought the garlic sauce was the best sauce out of all the dishes we ordered. We also had stir-fried basil with beef, laab with chicken, green curry, pineapple fried rice and pad see ew. They have 2 kinds of rice and most dishes come with rice. The boys really liked making rice balls with the sticky rice and then eating them in one bite. The stir-fried basil had al dente green beans along with the basil and beef. My hubby's favorite dish. My mom and older son finished off the pad see ew so quickly I only got a little taste, but it was very flavorful. Pineapple fried rice would not usually be my taste, but I was happily surprised at the balanced flavor (not too sweet) and the shrimp was perfectly cooked. While I didn't try the green curry, the rest of our party thought it was great. The large portion sizes of curry and rice allowed for leftovers that they are looking forward to eating. They only have one option for dessert but the warm black rice with cream was complimented by the coconut ice cream. My hubby compared it to a molten cake with ice cream (because of the textures and warm with cold, not due to having chocolate). Currently it's only take-out but the patio area has seating with umbrellas for shade and a beautiful view of the Mannette Bridge. You can order online and pick-up which is their preference now to reduce contact. Everything is packaged To-Go whether you eat there or take it home. I truly felt the authenticity of a family restaurant serving what felt like secret ingredients and a whole lot of love that has been prepared into their food. Simultaneously, Khao Soi gave me "mom and pop" vibes while also delivering the ambiance of a swanky waterfront dig. Could eat here every day during my work trip in Bremerton in order to try everything on the menu. Went with the seafood Tom Ka soup and Laab and fell in love with every bite. I had a chili pepper creep in from the soup, seriously opened my sinuses, and unexpectedly gave me a much needed punch of heat in this cold and dry weather. I also ordered the fresh young coconut to which it was hydrating and lush as the meat was like a desert that I dug out with my spoon. Highly recommend this spot if you're looking for a quaint Thai gem with super authentic food, nice jams in the background, and a bit of an upscale twist with the midcentury modern decor and outdoor patio that makes you feel like it's a special occasion. This place is definitely one of the best Thai places around Kitsap County. Their food is so good. I have been to hundreds and hundreds of Thai places and am super picky about Phad Thai in particular, and they have a delicious one. The Phad See Ew is the absolute best, SO much flavor is packed into it. Everything that we've ever gotten here has been fantastic. The only bummer was that we recently got takeout and I ordered Crab Rangoons which are normally amazing, (They have a plum sauce that is to die for), but ours were SO burnt that they were a super dark brown and pretty inedible. But that was a fluke, we must have caught them on an off day because their food is always absolutely amazing! read more

We did not make reservations but were able to be seated immediately on a Saturday night. We had the basil fried rice, Tom Ka, pad see ew, and sticky black rice for dessert. Everything that we had was excellent! Both flavorful and spicy! I asked for medium spice, which in a lot of places is pretty bland, but medium here had quite the kick to it, without burning my taste buds off. Loved it! The service was maybe a little slow but all of the staff seemed to be hustling! They had a ton of take out orders so they were quite busy. The inside area is very small, just a few tables.
