My case goes back almost year but I have so much to talk about this lawyer, literally had to spare time to write details of my experience with Kia. I was involved in a serious employee theft case and needed a strong defense lawyer. Spent a lot of time getting references and referrals from friends, thoroughly searched online and called most of the criminal defense attorneys in Riverside and Corona for consultation. Kia also was one of the attorney who gave phone consultation back then. Even though Kia spent good amount of time like all other attorneys, I though he was little more costly back then compared to other attorneys and decided to go with other attorney. I was naive enough to believe other attorney's advertising with great rate with payment plans, kind and hopeful comments/recommendation/possible results about my case from this person (who later I found out she was a OFFICE PERSONNEL not a lawyer!!), Anyways, I decided to go with this lawyer, who is very very very well known in Riverside, over 30 years of experience in criminal defense. These are things that I heard from his office and results. 1. Experience in specializing criminal defense.Worked so many cases and long time in Riverside, knows all DAs and Judges. Even homicide cases gets dropped if he works on it and your cases is nothing compared to other cases and will deliver best result that can't come from other attorneys. 2. for 4 months, I have not spoke or met this lawyer 3. always spoke to office lady about my case and said detective doesn't answer the phone, they had to send out a letter to detective's supervisor 4. just ridiculous excuses after excuses, I didn't know I had a warrant out for a arrest, detective didn't know i had a lawyer and never received a letter. Then, after 4 months and spending $2,500.00, no result, detective with a warrant, I realized that they don't care about my case, never worked on my case and my money has been completely wasted. I know this is Kia's review site, not a forum to talk about my bad experience in a legal case but I heard there are SO many yelp reviews for law offices are written my employees, co-workers, friends and family about how good they are and also lie about cases that never existed, I really want reviewers to read my experience about how I differentiate Kia from other lawyers and went back to him to represent my case. I needed a immediate action since I wasted 6 months after police reports has been filed, has a warrant and detective looking for me. I spoke to Kia about my case and briefly went over my nightmare of 6 months. Luckly he remembered the conversations we had 6 months ago. I signed a paper for Kia to represent my case and he immediately contacted detective. Below is my experience with Kia A DAY AFTER I met him, things that could not been done/choose not to do for 4 month with other attorney. 1. Detective was contacted and acknowledged that I have a lawyer and spoke about my case very next day. NO false hopes!!! straight forward about best scenario to resolve my case/ simple as possible and very importantly fast, no lies about I am waiting on this, waiting on that, no intentional dragging case to collect more money. I understand that each case is different there maybe things that needs time but I was already aware and prepared because Kia informed me in advance even before I started worrying. 3. He contacted my formal employer to mediate and I paid least/needs restitution to not to pursue anything further. 4. No warrants, no further investigation or possible case (as of now), mostly importantly!!! peace of mind. What I was most impressed is that he doesn't ignore your concern and worries, whenever I have a questions and updates on my case, he calls or text me either immediately or very soon. Not that I encourage viewers to do the same but even in the middle of the night or on the weekend, I got his replies with answers. I still have all the texts. Kia told me if he doesn't answer right away because he is at court or meeting, I can contact his office for immediate assistance, and his office staffs also has same attitudes as Kia. Always friendly and no sugar coated words to pamper me but to find out what they can do on their position to get hold of him or provide other solution. You don't have to beg to get an update on your case or to speak to your lawyer. Final line is Kia is just good at what he does. He was very firm and strong about what he believes to be a best outcome for my case, his skills/intelligence in criminal defense cases are just incredible. Cares for your case and personally works on your case. Even though Kia delivered a best result for my case and now I'm worry-free but still one mistake I made in this case still exist , wasting $2,500.00 because I went for cheap attorney and fell for empty promises. About more than a year ago, I got myself into a serious situation with the law. It involved a very sensitive matter between my wife and me. Not very happy of what I did. In my situation it was necessary to hire a lawyer who knew what he was doing and capable of doing in and out of the court to build a good defense case. I couldn't find a good lawyer who actually would take the time to sit with its client and tell you the honest truth, without adding extra frosting on the cake. Also, the reason why Kia was the lawyer who I decided to represent me in court is because he was recommended through a family member, who had a similar case as I did and he was recommended by my immigration lawyer, who knew how Kia works in court. If you are in legal trouble, Kia is the person you can trust. Kia is board certified lawyer who is very knowledgable on criminal law. I recently had a DUI with accidents so I was in a big trouble. As this is my first legal trouble I faced, I was very anxious and scared. From the first meeting, I knew Kia is the perfect guy to help me. His office and reviews are full of success stories (I even saw pictures of his past clients who tattooed Kia on their body at his office!). Kia and his team truly the best support team I could ask for. Since the court system is so backed up with the pandemic, it took me over a year to get my first court date. I was facing a severe DUI case and being charged with four counts. I was overwhelmed about what I was about to face especially since I had never been in trouble legally before. We all been there, We find ourselves in a bad predicament, the dynamics of the story are blown out of proportion and widely exaggerated to cause the most tarnishing damage upon our names.... KIA IS THE MAN!!!! This man literally kept me out of jail! I had no idea what lawyer to use as i never had one before, so i looked on yelp. I compared lawyers and saw KIA LAW FIRM had some outstanding reviews. I called KIA the DAY BEFORE my court case was set to go to trial. I called Kia's office on a Saturday morning and to my surprise he answered personally! We spoke for a short time to briefly discuss my legal concerns (keep reading) and later that day I called back again to ask a few more questions. He answered again(!) and I hired him. My concerns were regarding a traffic altercation I had with another driver the previous day. The deputy who took the incident report informed me they received a 911 call that I engaged in road rage activity. While no criminal charges were filed, the deputy made a report against me to the DMV, who immediately suspended my license, without a hearing. Kia immediately went to work and explained what I could do to get the best outcome possible. His office was always easy to get a hold of if I had questions. And while I did not call Kia directly frequently, every time I did call he answered. This was a huge stress relief! I saw Mr.Kia on the second court appointment for my son, then he had public defender but I knew my son is in trouble, and he needs someone who can do something that will help my son. I've gotten in touch with Mr.Kia and his law office and got appointment with him. Mr.Kia is really kwnolegable, approachable, accessible and awesome to work with. He's very good/quick about getting back with your questions and concerns. He acctuly cares for his clients. I've approached him to help with my son's drugs case, and related charges things weren't looking too good for him. While working with Mr.Kia, he pushed hard not only with court but also talking to my boy who at the time was 19 year old and faced couple misdemeanors and felonies. He was able to place Leon in program called RSAT which I am so greatfull for! This is a incoustudy program, a treatment were my son can get help, since previously he left multiple times from other voluntarily rehab centers, and now instead of facing prison time, he gets treatment for minimum 6 months and Leon actually likes it and I see a big change in him.
