Everyone has their own definition of "major purchase", but vehicles will always be that for me. It's something you have for years, good or bad consequences. And for someone who has had more lemons than diamonds in my life, I typically do not enjoy the experience. Last year I once again came to this point of decision, costly repair or start over. It was time to start over. I owned a Kia many years ago and that car lasted for quite a number of years. The only reason we sold it was because we were wanting something with more space. This time, I needed the same (three furry family members in tow on trips). What I found here was above and beyond what I could have hoped for. 2019 Niro (smaller SUV), hybrid, minimal miles (dealer used vehicle). I came, I talked, I drank nasty coffee, and I left driving home a Kia. Since then I have had to have the radio console replaced (no charge-was already an issue at time of purchase) and two oil changes and both were a smooth process. This dealership is why I will always consider Kia when buying a vehicle. I suggest you do the same. read more

Tell me your getting scammed without telling me your getting scammed! Beyond the arbitrary "Good morning", "How are you doing"? They clearly don't have your best interests at hand, and aren't really good at hiding it ... IF they even are trying to hide it. I simply wanted the cheapest car on the lot. MSRP of approximately $17,000. I checked the sticker on this dealership's inventory online. The sticker only had the price of the car, and around 1k for a freight fee. When I got to the lot, the sticker had an additional 3.5k in overpriced add-ons that I literally have no intrest in. That Monique, the salesperson, tells me that I'm obligated to pay. She says to me, for this cheap vehicle, which MSRP is valued around 17k, my drive off cost will be around 25K!! Where would that ever make sense? I asked what credit bureau they use for credit check. Monique says Equifax and Transunion. Which i have no problem with, i have great scores, so i sign the credit check form with confidence. I get the notification that my equifax, and transunion scores got a hard inquiry (As expected). Well ... apparently my 749 credit score wasn't enough. I was told even if my credit score of 800 I would still get the same lowsy interest rate. So after not comming to an agreement, the manager wants to see me. She was texting most of the time she was working with me. Obviously texting the manager the whole time on my push back. I go sit back down at Monique's desk to wait for the manager. . . Suddenly, i get a notification that my Experian fico score got a hard inquiry. Which obviously confused me, as well as pissed me off. Because 1. Monique never mentioned fico, 2. I just received 3 hard inquiries instead of two. 3. That was the lowest of the 3 scores. Monique says I have to pay so much because its my first time financing a car, so the 749 credit score doesn't matter. The manager comes out and says the reason I have to pay so much is because of my FICO credit score. Which is confusing, because WHY would you pull a 3rd score if you had two already? WHY would you intentionally use the lowest score if you're actually trying to give me a "good" deal? I thought the payments he quoted were too high, until he said i had things included in like Gap insurance. That actually made me reconsider the payments, however, when I asked the manager for the payment breakdown. He took 10/15min to write down 3 simular payment prices on the same paper he showed me the first time. I didn't even get an itemized print out. They either think they are super smart, or their customers are super dumb. Monique says she sells 50 cars a month, which i don't believe. But if she actually does sell that much ... and she conducts herself the way she did with me ... maybe the customers really are dumb. If I'm gonna overpay for a car, it sure as hell wouldn't be a Kia Rio! Lol The cheap price is literally the only appealing thing about the car, and they take that away from you. So why waste time going there? Just go buy a better brand car, that has a better track record than kia if you're going to overpay for something. It's better to overpay for quality than bulls**t. I have been communicating with Kia of Augusta via phone and internet for over a month, expressing my interest in buying a 2022 Telluride SX. I have not been able to get them to give me a price on the car I wanted. They have not had that trim model in stock until recently. Today my husband and went there to drive that car and potentially buy it. When I told the salesman that, he quickly told me that 'we have a lot of people flying in to buy Tellurides so our policy is that we don't let people test drive them." I could hardly believe my ears. He defended that by saying that these people who flew in didn't like to see miles on the cars. When I responded that I didn't like to buy $50,000 cars without driving them he said, "well, we have $12,500 markup over MSRP on the Telluride. if you sign a paper saying you will agree to the $12,500 mark up, you can drive the car. " I know Tellurides are very popular and hard to get right now and I knew there would be no discount and maybe a little increase over MSRP but this is price gouging in a big way! Recently my right back rear seat (where my child's car seat is located) would no longer open from the outside or inside. I believe a shirt or a piece of fabric got caught when the door was closed. I watched a ton of YouTube videos and it just seems complicated to do it myself because I don't have the right tools, so I decided to make an appointment and take it to the dealer Kia instead. For starters I read a bad review recommending that you make an appointment because they will not assist without one. When website ONLY offers to different time slots 12noon and 4pm . I chose 12noon and when I entered all of my information and the reasoning for my service need and hit enter/continue option for my confirmation number I received an ERROR message. Needless to say it was frustrating so I called and the receptionist advised that I will always get an error message for that time slot because service department is actually out for lunch. So I went back online and scheduled my appointment for the 4pm slot and was successful and obtained my confirmation number as well as a reminder text. The following day I show up 15min earlier to my appointment and immediately was approached by the service manager (I assume) who asked are you here fir an oil change? I told him no and said I'm early here fir my 4pm appointment and mentioned my door. He immediately looked frustrated and said "We don't do work like that at this time" . WHAT THE HECK!!!! He went on an on about how I need to go inside and reschedule my appointment with the receptionist for another day and preferably a morning time because I'd have to leave my car there for hours. I asked how many hours and he quickly replied "I don't know but the entire door needs to be removed to see what's going on" Total waste of time and I absolutely will not allowed my car to stay there fir hours because I know they will then charge me an arm and a leg for something that looks way simpler to fix on the YouTube videos. I decided to buy the tools and fix my own car door myself and what do y'all know it's working and took less time too. I would not recommend this place at all. My car was burning oil and they did a soak test on it which I.paid for. My wife called and set up a "VIP" appointment to view a specific vehicle. She was explicitly told the vehicle would be "reserved" for our appointment. I left work early and we drove two hours to the dealership. When we arrived we were told that the vehicle had been sold. Their excuse was that they do not reserve vehicles and that they use an outside agency to schedule. Even if that is true, which I doubt because the salesperson states "we should have flagged the vehicle" which implies they do have a procedure to do that, the fact that their scheduler tells people that vehicles will be saved is dishonest. I don't really expect much honesty out of a car dealership but this place should be avoided. Based on this interaction it's probably a good thing we didn't get into negotiations on actually buying a vehicle because this company lacks ethics. I decided to give KIA of Augusta a chance to fix the problem with the rebuilt 2019 KIA Forte LXS and trusted that they where going to put me in a 2020 KIA Forte LXS for all the problems with the last car and they screwed me over again. This dealer ship from my experience only likes to screw people over left and write. I should have just got my money back and went to KIA in Evens. Instead of getting a new 2020 KIA Forte LXS I got a used 2020 KIA Forte LXS and they even lied on the paperwork with the Registry. The 2020 I received today was used and I'm sure it was there loaner car because it already had 552 miles on it when it arrived in my driveway. On all the paperwork even the title they wrote down the car only had 10 miles that's the only way they could call it new. Otherwise they would have to call it used, they also didn't give me any of the warranties that the car should have from the factory, towing or satellite radio. So they are trying to sell this to me for $18,000 as is witch is not going to happen because I'm reporting them to the registry as well as getting a Lawyer. So seeing they screwed me twice I'm not giving them another chance plus this car already came with Problems. So I'm taking the proper steps and getting it inspected by a real Shop so I have that prof as well as all the paper prof I have on both car's. I will be going after them for all my money back with the Lawyer I have plus all Fee's I occur even legal fee's and aggravation for the stress and problems I've been dealing with since July 15, 2020 up until now and until this is resolved. Also seeing my family is Military I'm going to have them pass the word around Fort Gordon Military base. As well as getting a hole of the registry, BBB, KIA consumer affairs, and the channel 12 undercover news. So please be careful when dealing with this shady dealer and hopefully there dealers licence comes up for review for what they are doing and the State takes notice. read more

Shannon (gm), isis, Angel (sales) and Calvin (Kevin?) the only one who gave me any information or was tentative to me was isis. Shannon (the GM) told us one thing and even though I confirmed it three times once the sale time was ready they didn't want to honor it. Angel was tentative and helpful until I was trying to explain to him what was discussed and without any conversation or telling me he was transferring me he just automatically transferred me to the finance guy, who proceeded to laugh when I told him what was discussed and then when I told him I had text messages to prove it he got all serious. Then proceeded to ignore me and my texts for 3 hours. At the end once I called and texted multiple people they still wouldn't honor anything. Ran mine and my husbands credit for no reason. Bunch of crooks & I hope someone sues them for false advertising. Honestly just wasted my time and put a unlawful run on my credit (which I will dispute since it was ran under false pretenses). I went for a test drive of a car and for the second time in less than a year, I encountered an "unclean" car. The first instance, in January 2022, the car had been cleaned, but not well enough to get rid of the stagnant cigarette smoke smell. I am currently traveling from My home state of Texas staying with family and drove to the kia service center this morning, arrived right when they opened requesting an oil change because I will be driving to Texas soon. As a Kia customer I have never been rudely told "I can't help you unless you have an appointment" I requested assistance to book an appointment and instead of the guy looking in the system to see if there was an opening he brushed me off and told me he could not help me as they were booked until July for OIL CHANGES!! I am a very loyal Kia customer and have never taken my vehicle to be serviced outside of the dealership because I know I always get excellent service, however this morning I was treated with so much rudeness and disrespect that it has left me questioning Kia as a company. I HOPE you train your employees better so that future customers don't experience what I did this morning. I was left with no choice but to take my car to the local Jiffy Lube where they treated me with the outmost respect and happily provided their oil changing services as a walk in! read more

Now I have been utilizing Kia of Augusta for 14 years. I bought two of my Kias from them, got their services done here, even during the pandemic when my Sorento had a $2k nervous breakdown and it took almost three weeks to figure out the issue I stayed with them. I needed a new vehicle. I got pre approved for much more than any Sorento or Telluride would cost there, not saying I wanted that monthly car payment though. I am 50 years old. I don't have a need to compete with anyone. I loved my last Sorento but after a five car pileup, she wasn't road worthy so I spoke to someone at the dealership. I showed up and the Sorento I wanted, that I had been talking to a salesperson just the night before, was magically sold before I got there ( other reviews seem to share that song and dance) but they had a second one, it was loaded, beautiful. The salesperson didn't tell me this was the more expensive model so I believe I insulted at least the finance manager with my initial offer of $36k. He showed me the price for it, $48k that included a $7,500 markup on top of the MSRP, I knew there was room to wiggle but he was stuck on that price. I did offer $40k and he said no, that he had people lined out the door even at that price to buy them ( then why was another salesman calling people on the customer list trying to get them to come in for an upgrade?) but it was all good. I am curious if the salespeople thought they could get over on me because I wasn't with my husband to make a deal with them, I politely left and went to Evans Kia where I was met by a very professional, respectful young man and proceeded to purchase a $43k 2023 Kia Sportage. Even if I ended up paying a markup price, at least the salesman was nice to me. (Ask for Devon, he's very charming) Just because I was approved for almost $70k to buy a car didn't mean I wanted that monthly payment that came with it and Evans understood that, they saw my paperwork and also respected my desire to keep the cost under a certain amount. I get that every dealership has its good and bad salesmen but this upset me to the point I will never go back to Kia of Augusta. I felt disrespected and that they were very unprofessional and I have no problem taking my business elsewhere. read more

They fixed all recalls within the day, gave me a shuttle back home & asked me if I needed a ride back to the dealership.....that was the best customer service experience I've ever had with a car dealership. Extremely long story short, she was GROSSLY mislead and is now stuck on a loan for a vehicle that she cannot drive. We have reached out several times to no avail. We came here after the Kia in Evans was unwilling to do business with us. I understand there is a profit to be made, but is it really worth alienating customers because you only want to push current promotions in vehicles that weren't inquired about? Well you wasn't get that here at the Augusta Kia. After describing our negative in Evans, Augusta was determined to redeem the Kia name to us. What do you know, after a couple hours we were able to find a vehicle here! Our salesperson "Mo" was awesome. She helped us out with all the info we asked for, and didn't try to push cars on us we didn't ask about just because they had a promotion for them. The salesman that came out to help was nice and not pushy. However the vehicle wasn't as advertised "inspected and detailed" (check engine light on, tpms indicator on, cracked dashboard, gooey stuff on seat, make up and glitter throughout, panel on back of drivers seat coming off) and the pictures were bordering on deceptive being taken overcast and wet so it didn't show the headlights were glazed and needed replacement etc. Maybe the rest of the used inventory isn't like this as I was interested in one particular vehicle but this was my experience. read more

I have a 2012 Kia Sorento that needed an oil change, tire rotation and check on the ABS system ( warning lights on). I scheduled an appointment (on line) for Friday, March 29, at 11 am. When I arrived at the appointed time, there were six cars ahead of me. I had to back up twice for service people to remove cars from the line. When I told the clerk that I had made the appointment on line, he said that the on line schedule did not reflect the schedule in the service department. My question is: The what good does it do for the customer? I made another appointment for Tuesday at 12 noon. When I arrived, I asked if I would be out in time to make a 2 pm appt. on Bobby Jones Parkway. I was assured that I would. Thirty minutes later, I checked and my car had not been taken into a service area. Fifteen minutes after that, my car was still in the waiting area. I asked for my keys and left. One of the clerks stated that the service department manager would call me. I have not yet received that phone call. I am disappointed in the management and scheduling of appointments at Kia of Augusta. Twice I had attempted to bring my vehicle in for servicing and left because of the wait time. We found a used car online and called to ensure it was still at the dealership. We made arrangements to meet with Mr. Wolfe around 2:00pm to look at the car and the dealership actually called us at 12:00 to ensure we were going to make our appointment. We arrived at 2:00 and asked for Mr. Wolfe, who turned out to be the Finance Mgr. and he barely shook my hand before passing me off to a salesman. We told him about the car we wanted and he then had go and find the key. We noticed several white streaks on the paint and the salesman said that it was just old wax because his best detail guy had been on vacation for a week. There were other cleanliness areas that I did not point out. When I asked to test drive the car the salesman noticed that it was very low on gas and politely asked me to wait just a few minutes while he added gas. We actually waited more than ten minutes while he added gas and brought lunch back for the Finance Manager. After our test drive we did decide to buy the car and asked for the best price including tax-tag-and title. We waited in the small glass cubicle for 15 minutes while the salesman worked on the price. During this time we watched one salesman play video games on his phone, another sleep at his desk, and a third have lively phone calls to her friends. Our salesman finally came back with the "Good News" but the price was higher than the internet price but amazingly everything ended with 999 which he was so happy about. When I tried negotiating I was quickly asked where I came up with that price and how I thought it was fair. Then when I mentioned the lower internet price they were advertising the salesman seemed to become upset and then let me know that this was the best price and there would be no room for any negotiation. This was a complete waste of our time and we also noticed that on a day of the week when car dealers are usually very busy, we were one of three customers on the entire lot. My family and I do not live in Augusta, but our children are attending college in the town, we have several family members and friends who live in and around the city, and we are former military. I do not recommend this dealership to anyone and will let everyone I know to shop somewhere else. read more

Also sales rep left me on read when I was texting him trying to inquire about what all I needed to bring to the purchase and upon arrival he told me about all this other stuff I had to bring that I wasn't made aware of. Then he went on to say "vehicles go fast you have to put down a deposit" after failing to say this from the beginning. I feel like I was manipulated into driving 2 hours from Savannah so I could settle for a car I truly don't want. Had an offer for my trade in with nothing down but it was a pretty high payment. If they had come down 75.00 on the offer they would have had a deal but they wouldn't even discuss that option. Do not buy a used vehicle here. I got pressured into buying a used 2008 Honda CRV when my husband and I were just looking, not even planning to buy for another couple of months. We told them we could not afford much (I'm enlisted military and new to the area, husband had not started his new job yet), so they lured us in with 0 down and no payments for 2 months (more like 1 month after the paperwork was finalized). Of course, we test drove the car, looked at the history, everything you are supposed to do when buying a car. Yes, I should have taken it to a mechanic, but being new to the area, I don't know any that I trust. 3 months down the line, the AC is just blowing hot air. When we had tested the AC before purchase, it was colder out, so it had seemed to be working. But now, going into Georgia summer, I don't have working AC in a vehicle I pay $300 a month for to drive around in full military gear to and from work daily. When I called Kia of Augusta for help on this broken vehicle I just bought from them, they give me options: A) Refinance the car to include warranty. Except no banks will do that because it's very uncommon and apparently the car isn't worth that much to them. B) Buy the warranty from the dealership at $1200. I don't have that kind of money lying around, and yes I could take out a personal loan, but that's an extra $80 a month on top of the $300 I'm paying for a broken vehicle. Not to mention I couldn't use the warranty for 30 days, just to not "look suspicious". C) Pay them $800 to fix the AC.... again, do I have that kind of money? No. And that amount is them being nice about it and giving me a $200 break. But what's going to happen when something else breaks in another couple of months. No, I'd better buy the warranty at this rate. D) Trade-in and get a new car. I would do this, except we have literally only made 2 payments on this vehicle, meaning we will just owe more money to pay off this car AND get the new vehicle. It's just not feasibly possible for us at this point. Moral of the story, just don't buy a used vehicle from them, or take it to a mechanic you trust before buying. They clearly don't check out the cars as thoroughly as they claim to, and no matter how good the deal or the price, it really isn't worth the headache, stress and financial struggle in the long run. If I could do things all over again, I would have never even walked into the Kia of Augusta dealership. I will never buy another vehicle from them again. And I will warn everyone away from them. Kia of Augusta seems to prey on the young and inexperienced car buyers. If anything, I will take this as a bitter, painful (literally, the car gets very hot) learning experience and never trust another car salesman as long as I live. read more

I wouldn't recommend anyone buying a car from here. I happened to be in the Mall of Georgia and saw the new Kia Stinger and set up a test drive at my local kia. Kia of Augusta rep Morgan reached out and her words exactly ( have her on tape) they don't want unqualified people test driving the vehicle that have a 0 credit score or any interest in buying it or just spinning the wheels because the car cost so much 32000-52000. I said ok well I would do my test drive in Atl and not to call me again. She continued to call and text me. I went to speak to the General Manager and he almost said the same thing except he said he just didn't want teenagers test driving the vehicle. I just laughed because first of Morgan i am well qualified and I drive a car well over 32000. In fact a lot of cars have the same features the stinger have and dont carry the name Kia on it. Like I said you cant test drive the Kia stinger per Kia of Augusta unless you are qualified. Got the the text messages and phone conversation for proof and they never met me until I went up there to speak with the gm Rick on how they handle business. read more

Horrible nothing but issues from the beginning bought a car that wasnt as perfect as they said they wouldn't even cover the things that the car needed which was tires bc the ones on the car were dry rotted and wouldnt hold correct tire pressure plus all new brakes but again they wouldn't cover it. Plus it's been four months and they still dont have the title to the car so I haven't been able to register the car yet. I wouldnt recommend anyone to come here unless you want lies and cars that need work for over value of what they cost. Take your money anywhere but here!!!!!!! read more

This is the worst car repair place in all America. I will never return to this disgusting place. I needed car repair and the car was covered under warranty. I bought the kia in 2017. I was already having issue with the cheaply made vehicle I got a new battery 2019. Fast forward to kia of augusta these people called me everyday for a week to bring in auto maintenance receipts. So finally after all that. They say the car will be done in 2 days. I get a call Monday saying my vehicle needs this and that. I refuse and then I get a call the next day the car is supposedly done but I need this and that. I refuse. I go get the car and they drive it to me. Seems fine but the mechanic tells me look you belts flapping but its ok to drive. I drive off almost get hit! By the on coming traffic the car stoles. Get a few blocks leaving kia of augusta car stop. Won't turn over. I get out the way of the cars look under the hood realize the people didn't even put the protective cover was not even put back under the car. These people are crooks! My elderly parents(80 & 83) went here to look at a car. I witnessed my father express to the salesman that they were on a fixed income and what he thought they could afford. On their their third visit, they sent away with a nice minivan. However, the payments were twice the amount of what he said they could afford. Now my parents are struggling to make this outrageous payment every month. This is a clear cut case of taking advantage of the elderly. read more

These folks are useless. Go anywhere else if at all possible. I've had my vehicle here 5 times and the last 4 were simply to fix the things they broke on visit number one. Complete bafoons. To pass the time one of my visits i wandered over to see new vehicles and found myself contemplating just buying a new Kia (I've had three) but not to be out done the sales person was equally as inept. Don't believe there story that you are qualified for any car. Expect to waste 6 + hours there to find out you were lied too. Also if you have a pretty daughter or wife keep them away from Julio for he was flirting and carrying on with my married daughter with a newborn. He even said he would call her about my personal business. Horrible experience, was emailing back and forth about a vehicle, was told to come in and test drive it so made an appointment then when I got there was told the vehicle was not on that lot, when asked why is it on your website was told well, we have 14 different lots, then asked why I was told to come test drive a car that was not there, all I got was back pedaling, these are not honest, trustworthy people that you are dealing with, will never go back and never recommend to anyone, wish 0 starts was an option. read more
