Came here on a Tuesday lunch with my family, party of 4... Food: we did the all you can eat, 40 per person. It's a little pricey for only getting 1 pound of seafood ONLY. So u get to choose 3 starters (we chose Cajun fries and fried green beans). Cajun fries were very soggy, no crunch at all and very spicy. Luckily for me I can handle spice but my family couldn't. Fried green beans were my favorite! It had a nice crunch too it. Next step is we get to choose our 3 choices of seafood (we choose crab, crawfish, and black mussels). Crab is free of charge first round but after that it's charged. Keep in mind it's only 1 pound of seafood boil ONLY with ur 3 choices of seafood. Then we got to choose 2 sides and we chose the sausages and rice. Typical seafood sides, I liked it. Then our spices, we chose garlic butter and original for our spice level for the first round the we switched it up to mild second round. Garlic butter, personally for us it was just way toooo much butter. We would like more seasoning than just butter only. Seafood is good but I think they put way tooo much butter in it in my opinion. Maybe next time we will try a new spice than garlic butter . Ambiance: clean, seems like they just recently opened with them having balloons. Service: our server was Bryan. He was very kind and informative and guided us on how to use the AYCE menu. He also made sure we got checked on & our food made it on time. We were very excited when this location opened because it's very close to our house, and we usually go to the Carson location. The good: .The food was quite good. .The servers were very nice and attentive both times we visited. The bad: .The food came out extremely slowly for an AYCE restaurant. .At this location, you can only order 1 lb of each type of seafood at a time. For example, 1 lb of crawfish and 1 lb of shrimp. At the Carson location, we're usually able to order 2 lbs of crawfish and 1 lb of shrimp. . There are fewer side options to add to your seafood boil compared with the other location. Overall, we were hoping for a similar experience to the Carson location since this one is much closer to our house. Everything was delicious--my partner even turned to me and said, "I can't believe how good this is." We were thrilled, convinced we'd just found our new go-to seafood spot in Orange County. Then, the wheels completely fell off. * 2nd Round (Crawfish & Mussels Only): Fifteen minutes later, a bag arrived with a paltry 5 mussels and 8 crawfish. It was significantly less food than the first order, but since it's AYCE, I didn't mind pacing ourselves with multiple rounds. * 3rd Round (The Total Standstill): This is where the party died. It took 30 full minutes from order to delivery. It was mind-boggling--with only four tables in the entire restaurant, food completely stopped coming out of the kitchen for everyone. It felt like someone pulled the emergency circuit breaker on the stock exchange floor to freeze a market crash. The energy in the room plummeted. While Bryan stayed attentive with drink and side refills, no seafood was leaving that kitchen. When our third bag finally landed, it wasn't even lukewarm. The crawfish were tiny, rubbery, and tasted stale, and the mussels were terrible. To make matters worse, while we were waiting, our initial dipping sauces had cooled and hardened into an undippable film. It was a stark, depressing contrast to how the meal started. Service & Management: 5/10 I can't put this on Bryan. He was friendly throughout, and you could tell even he felt awkward about the delays. I assumed the food was still comparable to the other location. I really wish I drove to the place that had better reviews. It was very disappointing. We ordered 2 of the seafood boils. They gave waaayyy more shrimp than a half pound that is listed on the menu but oh my gosh it was so over cooked it was almost impossible to peel. They don't devein or clean the shrimp so the poop flavor was verrrry present. The crab couldn't be pulled out of the shell because it was also over cooked. One of the boil bags didn't come with the corn and one came with more potato than the other. The kids loved the garlic noodles there. But we wasted most of our food cause heating it up the next day would only make it worse. this location needs to just work on back of the house but our server was nice lol read more

We came here to celebrate Father's Day for my bf with our kids (1.5 & 3 for reference) When we arrived at the restaurant wasn't super busy. We were told the wait would be about 15 mins. No problem at all. We asked to sit in a booth and were accommodated right away. Our server was kind and tried to be very attentive and accommodating. Location appeared to be understaffed which we totally were not expecting on a major holiday. After about 15-20 mins our server came over and took our order. We started with the all you can eat option and ordered fries, Cajun fries and onion rings. All 3 were tasty! First round we received peeled shrimp (per our request), crawfish, crab legs, and ONE corn & ONE potato (very odd bc we are two grown adults). Upon requesting our second bag, we asked for just peeled shrimp, potatoes and corn (this time I asked for TWO of each since there are two of us eating), after about 20 mins - our order is delivered and it is whole shrimp. (Sorry we don't want to do the work, so we sent it back.) waited about 20 mins with fussy kids at this point, only for our order to be wrong again - shrimp was headless but not peeled.) At this point, our kids were extremely fussy. Our server apologized for the error and requested a remake. Due to the inconvenience we asked to just take our bag home and didn't bother to check to see if the shrimp was correct (let's be real, after sending back twice i was expecting it to be right and honestly my kids were done waiting) Paid our tab in full & tipped our server his 20% and took our order to go. I live nearby and have been wanting to try them since they opened. Went on a Sunday afternoon and there was no wait. It was busy but nobody waiting to be seated before us. It took the manager a few minutes to acknowledge and seat us. There seems to be a lot of staff but they're all over the plane and yet nowhere if that makes sense. The service was extremely slow. However our waiter, Stefan, was very polite and professional. They took a minute to take our order. My son literally saw our waiter clock in and walk over to tables right away. They didn't bring out our full food order. We didn't get rice and after asking a couple of times was told they ran out we never got our bread and I had to ask them to cancel it because we were about to be done eating. Ok so they had a grand opening today so I decided to check it out. Welp it wasn't so grand. Ordered the all you can eat crab legs, peeled shrimp, crawfish with potatoes and sausage mixed in with house Cajun mild sauced. First delivery of the boil we ordered came out in about 20 mins. First one was ok smaller crab legs sauce was on point but the crab legs were over cooked. We couldn't grab the legs because they were soft. Most crab leg eaters know that is the sign of being over cooked. Also the meat inside didn't pull out it was shredded which means it's over done. We requested a refill of the exact same thing. We waited over 30 minutes for the second bag to come out. Opened the bag and the shrimp were not peeled. (Extra cost of $5 per person for peeled) so on this bag the crab legs were again overcooked and soft. The unpeeled peeled shrimp the shells were stuck on the meat because these were overcooked as well. I told the waiter when he came back, since it seems to take awhile could we order just crab legs & PEELED shrimp he said sure. As we were eating we realized they have a fly problem inside the store as they started fighting for my shrimp. As we were waiting again for the 3rd boil bag our server asked if the brought out the bag and I said no. He said ok I think they didn't get the order. Waited another couple mins he brings out the bag and guess what. NO PEELED SHRIMP so head on it is. Yes shrimp and crab legs overcooked. It was very warm inside like they didn't want to pump the AC and they had around 9 people standing behind the counter just talking. 10/10 service Stefan was Amazing! He's so efficient and friendly. We were seated and served right away. The food came out quick fresh and hot. I love how there's a variety of included add ons in the all you can eat option. We tried the all mixed flavors and the garlic butter we weren't so excited about the flavors but the Cajun n spice atomic was really good! I've been going to places like Boiling Crab and Kickin Crab for years, and while the flavor here is definitely different, it's not in a bad way. It has its own thing going on. We started with Medium spice but wanted a little more kick, so we bumped it up one level and that was perfect. Food was great, service too, our server was friendly, attentive, and kept us updated when things got a little busy which was understandable. My only complaint was the temperature inside. "All-You-Can-Eat" has its restrictions. Items such as crab & shrimp are extra costs per person, per round. The seasoning is not very taster, it has a sugar finish to it that isn't satisfying to the palate. Even the lemon pepper fries had a sweet taste to it. They need to offer more sauces, such as Tabasco & siracha. Overpriced for what you get. Unfortunately, upset stomachs all around for our whole group. Waiters first day, he did a good job. I was excited to see a new cajun seafood restaurant in the area as i live next door but it wholly did not live up to expectations. I ordered 1lb shrimp head off but shell and tail on and 1 lb crawfish (frozen). The shrimp was really bad, rubbery over cooked and honestly looked like 3/4 of a lb. The crawfish was serviceable, wast not great quality just decent. I also ordered white rice (4.50 each) and was given rice that seemed to be ok at the too but as i continued to eat it became mushier and mushier with an expired smell, if you left rice in the rice cooker for to long or reusing older rice than you know what i mean. You would think paying 4.50 a scoop it would be fresh, nope. Price are at usual or higher priced. And they nickel and dime you for everything. Also the ayce looks like they give u alot of choice but when it comes down to it, its only 3 things with upcharges for others. Most ridiculous thing i saw was 12$ for a flight of their sauces and charging 4.50 for white rice (which they reuse old rice) For 40$ ayce go to KBBQ or shabu shabu ayce, way better quality and experience. Would i recommend this place to anyone? Hell no. I have never seen an ayce cajun seafood spot before and i can see why, they focus on quantity over quality, the only reason to go here is for the ayce and thats still a big if because the quality is so poor. I would never come back here to order reg entrees by the pound. Save yourself the dissapointment and go to kicking crab in DTF, bag o crab in fullerton or boiling crab in brea. The AYCE option is $39.99 and there's extra charges for peeled or headless shrimp and it's per person. So opted out for individual bags. I got the all in which crab n spice and lemon . It was not my favorite, there was a lack of flavor from the spices and the separation of spices and oil wasn't appealing. The shrimp was cooked well and not over done. There were some issues with a friend's order not having the right side items in the bag but the server was nice about it. I ordered a side of rice and immediately when we saw it you can notice it was mushy. It was mushy and crunchy.... Thankfully we weren't charged for it. I got an order of lemon pepper fries which were fresh and crispy. I felt the flavor was off for the lemon pepper fries and tasted sweet. I think the fries were the best item for quality at least. I'm a crawfish fiend. When I saw that Crab N Spice has AYCE crawfish, I had to try it since crawfish season is almost over. I was a little skeptical because there are a lot of negative reviews on this place. I called ahead to make sure they use live crawfish, and the lady on the phone confirmed they did. We got there and for the first round we ordered 4 lbs of crawfish and 1 lb of mussels with the crab n spice sauce. For AYCE, the first round also included 1 snow crab cluster per person. The sauce was very good and flavorful, but the crawfish was frozen. I was disappointed, especially since I'd confirmed on the phone that it would be live. My husband enjoyed the sausages, and our server Justin was excellent and friendly. Everything else was good. I just personally prefer live crawfish, so this probably isn't a spot I'll return to for that but if frozen doesn't bother you, it's worth checking out. read more

So we called ahead and said we would be arriving just over an hour and were told it would be no problem. We then asked, what the plan was to seat our party as we saw parties being sat in all sections of the restaurant and being told our wait time was going to be extended. It was pretty clear they did not know what to do with a large party. Once the wait time was told to us to be past 3.5 hours, our family and I decided to leave. For reference, we went as a party of four. Service: Unfortunately, the service was extremely slow. We ordered the ayce menu, and even the starters took a long time to come out. The portions for the starters were also surprisingly small, especially considering it was the ayce menu for a party of 4... We were told the seafood platter was served family-style and limited to three seafood items because the platter was "extremely big," which we thought would be understandable. However, when it arrived, it was much smaller than expected...about enough for two MAYBE 3 people at most. What was most frustrating was watching our seafood platter sit at the counter for nearly five minutes before anyone brought it to our table. There were only two other parties in the restaurant, and four servers were standing at the counter. Most of the time they were chatting or on their phones. One employee was even on a personal phone call near the restrooms. As someone stated in another review there was a lot of staff but never anywhere to be found when needed. For example, another table that was seated around the same time as us was also clearly disappointed with both the service and the food. We overheard a woman at the table near us ask a server for gloves, he informed her he would be right back with them but he never came back. Instead, he went on his iphone at the counter and proceeded to chit chat with other staff without even informing one of the free staffs. The woman ended up walking up to the counter to grab the gloves herself and the staff just looked at her and continued about their business instead of acknowledging her and apologizing. Food: The seafood itself was a little overcooked, and the seasoning wasn't very consistent. Some dishes were too oily, while others seemed like the sauce wasn't mixed well. A majority of their seasoning was on the sweeter end. Restroom: According to my husband, the men's restroom floor was sticky. My sister said women's restroom was clean, but the door wouldn't lock. read more

Let me tell you I made it to the all-you-can-eat last night. My server was Brian. Amazing. I was able to see Maria. She's so sweet. I love them both my top two people at crappy spice right now. Everybody is nice there. The food is amazing since month ago business has really picked up so if you're gonna go go between three and four right when they open four and five because 7 PM it was no tables available. I like to see that business is good over there. Y'all stop by is off of Lincoln and Harbor in a little shopping center kinda next-door Vons they have an amazing team over there. The food is good. As well worth $40 thank you again to the team Management. Y'all did a good job in training. Those are some solid people y'all pick good people nice and clean or like the colors in there is nice only thing they need to get something to go over the windows for the sun, cause it was beaming on people face other than that. We have been wanting to try this place for a while now. We walked in and we were seated right away. Originally we thought we would try the AYCE but when we read the rules on the back of the menu it seemed like it would end up costing way more than the AYCE price advertised. We shared a shrimp boil with corn, sausage and potatoes. The food was good. We ordered beer and were told the "beer is really warm so I brought a cup of ice for you" Don't get me wrong our server was nice and got the order right. There is no working Air conditioning in the place and no shades on the windows. We literally hurried through our meal since we were so uncomfortably HOT. We checked out at the front with what seemed to be a manager and let him know we wouldn't be back and explained our experience. Very disappointed with my experience at Crab N Spice. Our side of sauce took an extremely long time to come out, and by the time it did I was practically done with my shrimp. On top of that, they were out of multiple drinks, so we had to keep changing our drink order because what we wanted wasn't available. The most frustrating part was being charged $32.48 for a tip, which caught us completely off guard since the service wasn't even worth tipping $1. My family and I were excited to try this place well it was disappointing to say the least, First of all it was HOT in there, no AC, so that was a bummer, second the portions compared to other seafood boils are small, $100 option was pretty small, our server took forever to bring lemons and other items ordered, we ordered french bread, finished eating and still no signs of bread! When it finally came with out check, it was cold/ frozen inside! Server said it did not charged for it but were forced to pay about $28 for bad service, since they included service charges on your bill, I would not recommend this place, really need to fine tune many things.
