So many options to choose from in the BG Food Cartel! I was looking for something small to have on the side and saw this food stand selling chicken wings. It's located next to Idea Sushi in the BG Food Cartel in Beaverton on SW Rose Biggi Ave. There's a huge parking lot diagonal to the food truck area and street parking around the area. I got their 5-piece bone-in wings with Thai Sweet Chili sauce (mild spicy). There were so many different sauce choices that I didn't know what to choose! At first, the Triple Pepper Adobo caught my eyes but then the owner mentioned it was VERY spicy which I didn't realize LOL. The wings took about 10 minutes to come out, and when it did, it was fresh out of the fryer and super crispy with the sauce coated all around the chicken! And they were delicious with great flavor! They also gave us ranch dipping sauce for the wings. Yum! My boyfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed it! The cute and funny thing that happened when I was about to order was that the owners' young son was manning my order. He asked me what I wanted and what sauce I wanted on my wings as his mom was in the back doing something really quickly. He was trying to write out everything out I was saying which was going really well actually (not spelling wise LOL). His mom eventually came up to fully get my order. Great food and even better service. I had the Chipotle Bowl (chipotle chicken sandwich turned into a lettuce bowl). I was delighted with just how much lettuce there was; this was a true lettuce bowl, not just a few sad leaves of lettuce with my chicken. And OH MY, the chicken! Juicy meat, crunchy breading, and the chipotle sauce was excellent as well. I ordered; - 5 mango habanero bone in wings - 5 spicy buffalo bone in wings - Small fries The wings were not crispy at all.. the skin was soft under the sauces, which gave a super bad texture when biting in. The inside was dry and pretty bland too, which made me even more sad.. The sauces were not very spicy either, which was also disappointing.. I really wanted wings, and was excited. I ended up throwing most of them away because I couldn't take the texture.. The fries were the only part of the meal that I ate the most of. Though I couldn't eat more than half because they were super super salty. The woman at the food truck was very nice, but I won't be returning due not having a good experience. I've been by this food truck many times, but finally decided to give it a try. The lady recommended the Secret Sesame wings so I went with it and when I received the wings I was genuinely surprised by how big the wings are. It not only looked good, but was very tasty and super juicy. The Secret Sesame sauce was not too overpowering and gave a little sweet kick. It puts BWW to shame with their small & dry wings that can easily take over 30 minutes to receive. The wait here was only less than 10 minutes for a fresh batch of wings. My bf actually had gone to our regular bbq place at the food cartel but I was intrigued after looking at kickin chicken wings menu and decided to switch it up and give it a try. I'm kinda picky about chicken and am usually disappointed so I was a little unsure. Lady taking orders was super nice and pleasant. I ordered the Thai chicken sandwich, they give you a little handheld buzzer thing to let you know when your order is ready which I appreciated. I got my sandwich and took one bite.. the first words out of my mouth were "wow!". So, so, so good! My bf took a bite of my sandwich after seeing my reaction even though he was full from his bbq, he immediately got up and ran over to order his own. He said it was "next level!" The sandwich reminded me of the type of sandwiches you see on tv or Instagram from foodie profiles. Came here last week for a lunch meeting. For some reason, fried chicken was on my mind. I decided to get some food from here. The person working the cart was nice and friendly. The wait for food was not long. The Cluckin Hot Triple Pepper sandwich was good and large portion, but was definitely not as spicy as they indicated it to be. The jamaican dry jerk rub wings were not that flavorful and didn't have the spice I was hoping it had (maybe it's just me). The basket of tots were good as they were generous with the portions. Sauces were well balanced but the woe of this 3 star review is that they bread their wings here. I got mine to go and after 15 mins of a drive home my wings were soggy and crumbly. No amount in the oven could save the crispiness that were these wings. After spending $14+ dollars for 10 soggy wings I was glad the side of vegetables $3 were still salvageable. All I can say if they do to go orders it would be best to have the sauce on the side and keep the wings dry. Coming BG Food Cartel, I thought all the carts would be open until the food cartel area closed itself but that wasn't the case. Feeling like most of the carts were closing soon we stumbled upon this one...at just about 9pm on Friday a very late dinner was the situation and this food cart didn't have a line which was great! With my siblings we all got different things. I got 10 boneless wings ($14.50), half thai sweet heat sauce and half sweet Sriracha. My sister got a side of loaded fries ($8) and my brother got a chicken parmesan sandwich ($9). The wait wasn't bad at all for how hungry we were. Plenty of napkins were given to us when our order was called and plastic silverware available too. The boneless wings were a good size, like thick log shape and very crispy outer shell I would say from the batter then glazed on with the sauce. The thai sweet heat sauce was too sweet, mainly smelled and tasted the sweetness. The sriracha sauce had a really pleasant balance of the salty, spice, and sweetness, a great surprise compared to the thai sauce. Even my sister who can't eat spicy food really enjoyed the sweet sriracha. The loaded fries were covered in the bleu cheese (we originally thought it was sour cream) and buffalo sauce, which had an interesting after taste. It maybe because we weren't used to the buffalo sauce but it wasn't our favorite, mainly tasted the cheese sauce as an after taste. We picked around the sauce to just eat the fries. The chicken parm looked really fresh and good. From the presentation alone, we all wanted to have a taste of it. The chicken itself was good as well as the bread. However after eating half of it, there wasn't enough sauce to keep the sandwich moist. We ended up taking home a couple wings and the sandwich. The batter was light, extra crispy and flavorful and the chicken was still tender and juicy. I also did not expect to get 3 super large pieces of chicken either so that's always a plus!!! Really let down because the guy running the window on Friday 2/11 made it so I will never eat here again. The people who normally run the front offered me a sandwich months ago that would "spice up" my normal sandwich. I have since ordered this no less than 20 times. for some reason this guy refused to add jalapenos to a chipotle chicken sandwich. No idea why but he literally refused and said "We are really busy..." regardless, I will never be back because he was short, rude, and looked at me like I was crazy for asking for something that was originally recommended to me by the staff. We also got an order of the loaded totes with blue cheese. Overall the flavor was good as these totes were covered with buffalo chicken and blue cheese sauce. But the blue cheese flavor was more fun my than we were used too so it is STRONG. If we had known, we might've gone with the ranch on top instead. This was an amazing place to get some wings! The man and women running the food cart are very friendly. I ordered the dry rub jerk chicken wings and the mango habanero wings. Both were so delicious. The jerk wings were very crispy on the outside and moist delicious meat on the inside. They were seasoned perfectly. The mango habanero were also amazing! They were the perfect balance of sweet and spicy (I do have a high tolerance for spicy though). Also they kind of reminded me a little of orange chicken, but still tasted very much like mango habanero, they were so good! I can't decide which wings I liked better.. We went to check out the new food cart pod and we were impressed by the selection they already had available. There's still a few empty spots for carts coming soon. But of what they had, I was drawn to this place. I also happened to be in a wing mood. My gf got the buffalo chicken sandwich and I got the Jamaican Jerk dry rubbed wings. I'm picky about my Jamaican Jerk and these guys nailed it. I think the only thing that could've made it better, is a dipping sauce that went well with the Jamaican Jerk flavor profile. Maybe something with coconut in it? I don't know, I'm not the chef. But their bleu cheese was really good though! I will definitely come back to try their other flavors!
