These are amazing sandwiches, but are they shrinking? I go before 12:30 now, but who knows if they still run out of bread!? Great bread!!

First time and not my last! The pastrami was sliced thin with great flavor! My first time trying Dutch crunch bread and it was both soft, chewy, and a great crust. I do think it could have used a bit of brightness to balance the sandwich. The roast beef was flavorful and the horseradish mustard was perfect. It added a nice brightness to cut through the rich au jus. The seating is limited indoors, but there are a few tables outside. The staff seem nice though you don't interact much and order through a kiosk at this location.

This place was mentioned by locals when I was visiting, stating they even run out of the Dutch Crunch bread, so go early. That right there made me want to go. Tiny parking lot and limited street parking, but we found a spot. I went with the hot T.B.L.T and it did not disappoint! I went without the red wine vinegar and oil, because I knew I would take 1/2 home, but I can only imagine that makes it better. Next time, I will get it on the side and drizzle as I eat. My loss. My companion went with the French Dip and loved it! Small seating area and no real interaction with the staff. You order/pay at a kiosk, they just call out your name. I didn't see any bathrooms, but it's possible the building businesses share a community one? Overall, this feels like more Grab and Go, than a sit down restaurant, but awesome sandwiches!

Excellent! My bride and I stopped by after church to get sandwiches before heading on the road. Very easy ordering process with the kiosk allowing you to full customize your selections. Staff was super helpful in assisting. My bride ordered the Avo-Chickpea and I went with The GodFather - we both selected Dutch Crunch Rolls.....we both loved our selections and commented how much we enjoyed the Dutch Crunch! Since I was driving when I ate the sandwich, I didn't get a picture to share :(

Order on a screen, plenty of seating inside and outside French dip was glorious - the au jus was very flavorful and the addition of the horse radish and dijon mustard melded everything into an addictive bite. Finished it in under 5 minutes. The pastrami meat had good flavor but the sandwich was lacking and the one I ordered needed some more acidity. An alright sandwich. Would come again to try other things

Great staff, incredible food & cute little spot in the cute & quaint neighborhood in SE. Outdoor & indoor seating available. The staff is super nice, will def be back. 10/10 if in PDX.

If you're looking for a sandwich that commands respect, The Godfather is it. I stopped by this sandwich shop on a sunny afternoon and took my order out to the patio--nothing like enjoying a bold, flavor-packed sub at a picnic table under the sun. I ordered The Godfather, and let me tell you, this cold sub is the real deal. Layered with Genoa salami, prosciutto, capocollo, ham, and mortadella, every bite delivered a savory, perfectly seasoned kick. The pepper jack cheese I chose to add definitely added the right amount of heat, and the spicy salad lettuce gave it a crisp, zesty crunch. Add in creamy avocado, crispy bacon, and tangy pepperoncini's--all tucked into perfectly crispy Dutch bread--and you've got a sandwich that's stacked, satisfying, and straight-up delicious. Great vibes, friendly service, and that unbeatable patio setup made the experience even better. I'll definitely be back to see what other masterpieces they're serving up.

Tasty sandwiches although I still prefer Jersey Mike's. Prices are a little bit high, around $14 for a sandwich. Service was good and helpful, but they were pretty busy when I went and it took a long time for the order to be ready even though they were doing their best to hustle so if in a rush, maybe go elsewhere.

Trying again after many years. I am just not a fan of dutch crust bread and I think last time I tried it out. Just a personal preference. Nice to see they had a french bread option. My husband enjoyed his salad but thought the choice of protein on the salads was too limited. Tuna, salami, basic turkey or garbanzo beans. Asked after we ate and they said next time we can ask but they will charge more as the other meats cost more. I think they could still add the option and just show it costs more. I enjoyed the warm ham and provolone sandwich on french. Usually provolone is so bland but it was pretty good melted. Very popular and a big line after noon. Reasonable prices but Boars Head meats so not high end either. I did have the special Snickerdoodle and was very happy. Two typical types of Snickerdoodle cookies (one of my favorite cookies). Either dry and crumbly (not my thing) or moist but soft. Theirs was moist and soft with good cinnamon flavor so two thumbs up from me.

Believe the hype. Get the Godfather. Get the Dutch crunch. Make sure you get the works and absolutely the spicy peppers. This was one of the best cold cuts I've had. Hands down delicious. Service was quick and they were busy! Place looked clean, open, and bright. Not a huge indoor space but plenty of seating outside.

Stopped in for a quick lunch since the line for biscuits was out the door but I'm glad we did! You'll order at the kiosk and they will call your name when ready. It was decently busy for early lunch but our sandwiches took about 10 minutes. I got the TBLT and thought it was solid. The portion is pretty generous! Definitely try the dutch crunch bread for some extra texture.

Do not sleep on this sandwich shop. I mean that literally, they are so busy they typically run out of the Dutch Crunch bread that is a must have! We got there around noon and there was already a decent line. It moved quickly with a little kiosk to order from and we had our sandwiches in no time! We split a BBQ Beef and a Godfather, and both were killer! The place has a very Portland vibe, outdoor seating, and enough seating inside to keep you warm! Definitely a must try!

The Godfather (added Genoa Salami, no mayo, all the veggies, hot peppers, red wine vinegar) on the classic Dutch Crunch bread.

Sold out at 12:30pm on a Sunday! A friend recommended The Baker's Mark and we went in blindly. After eating here, you can tell that this place is known for their bread, specifically their Dutch Crunch bread. We ordered a Hot Pastrami Sandwich (Provolone, no mayo, spicy brown mustard) and the Godfather (added Genoa Salami, no mayo, all the veggies, hot peppers, red wine vinegar); both were served on their signature Dutch Crunch bread, as they were sold out of all other breads. Both sandwiches were solid, I will say that I actually preferred the Hot Pastrami over the Godfather- and I am not a pastrami girly. I think the fact that it was warm really brought the bread to life and made it that much more tasty- nice crunch, melty cheese, and sour pickles! We ordered a fermented sour pickle on the side, which really hit the spot, but was $3 for a very small pickle- a bit overpriced in my opinion. Otherwise, the sandwiches' price point were both excellent for what you got- these days a value is as much on my mind as how good something tastes when I'm seeking out a spot to eat. We sat out on the patio, which was very windy and cold- adding some of those outdoor overhead heaters would have made the seating much more enjoyable. You have to bus your tables after you eat, which is pretty typical nowadays- I was happy to find a clean table and not have to bus beforehand. My final thoughts are that I would definitely recommend The Baker's Mark to eat at to someone seeking a sandwich, but I personally wouldn't frequent this spot. There are so many Deli's to choose from, and the bread isn't enough for me to choose this spot over another. I am curious to try their Spicy Dutch Crunch bread (which they were sold out of by the time we got there), so I'll definitely be back for Round 2. PRO TIP: Order ahead online so you don't miss out.

What time do they usually sell out? I have come twice at 1pm (halfway through open hours) and sold out both times? Do they just not make enough bread?

Absolutely delicious, salmon was so tender and marinated with just the right amount of sauce. 9/10! I find the canned yellow corn a little odd (not something you typically see in Hawaii poke bowls), but it works and I didn't mind the extra color/crunch. Portion size was great for there being one size. The interior of the space is a nice corner location off Hoyt and NW 11th, so lots of bright natural light, cute but simple decor with wood slats decorated along their white walls and cute plants tucked into the corners. The patty was cooked with a slight pink -- exactly how it should be -- juicy, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Only minor thing was some of the cheese slid off, but nothing that took away from it overall. I also tried the Caesar salad. It didn't come with croutons (not sure if that's intentional), and while the dressing was evenly coated, the Parmesan was a bit heavy and ended up overpowering the rest. Not bad, just not as balanced as it could be. What really sets this place apart is the atmosphere. More of the aioli would have helped so maybe request extra sauce or get some on the side. The dessert menu has some non-traditional offerings. The highlight for me was the cheesecake. I was assured by a server one time that the chef creates a gluten free cheesecake that rotates on the seasonal dessert menu. The current offering is tiramisu.
