After hearing about Harold's and its popularity in Chicago, I was a bit excited to try the one in Los Angeles. I thought the menu had a good amount of options and the prices were reasonable so that added to my interest. The service was helpful but the desserts were highly spoken on and told us "we should try the desserts before the meal" but thank God we didn't because the peach cobbler was not good at all and that would've lessened our interest in the rest of the meal. But the chicken meal we chose was pretty good and parking was fairly easy.

I think this place deserves a lot of love as their food is tasty and crispy! Just a quick background, this food chain originated from Chicago and they currently have two locations - Hollywood and Culver City. What I'm going to rate: - 1 perch and 1/4 chicken - 1 catfish and 1/4 chicken Food: I loved the perch the most followed by the catfish. They were crispy on the outside but oh-so soft on the inside. You follow that with their crispy chicken and dip that on a sauce of your liking. You can easily get full with that and you are set. Strawberry bundt cake - this one we took home and actually forgot it in our fridge until the next day. It was REALLY GOOD even after a day in the fridge. I will not mind stopping at this place just to get me some sweet cake! Price: $$ and a half. We probably spent about close to $60 for 2 people which is probably in the MID-TIER for fried chicken but it did come with fish and all that food was MORE THAN ENOUGH for us that we had leftovers for next day. Parking: Plenty. This is located at the corner of the Culver City Mall by the old Forever21 spot. Service: I do want to personally thank Cheyenne for exceptional customer service! She is very nice and accommodating. Overall, it was the kind of spot you would go to after a long tiring day of walking and shopping especially if you are fed up with the usual mall food. TRY IT AND SEE FOR YOURSELF!

There's several people that love this chicken spot but only a few can really appreciate it. I'm one of the few. Having the opportunity to eat at over 8 different locations in Chicago, I'm very familiar with this chicken shack. What's cool about Harold's is each restaurant has its own uniqueness but the chicken and mild sauce usually close to the same. No different here at the Culver City location in LA. I ordered the wings, shrimp and fish. It was a little taste of home. Very clean, natural light, with dine in or takeout options. Great to have a Harold's here.

Tried Harold's Chicken for the first time after spotting the new location while heading to the Fox Hills Mall (Culver City Mall). As soon as my partner and I walked in, we were greeted with warm, welcoming hospitality. I didn't catch the names of the man who took our order or the woman helping at the counter, but both were very friendly and attentive. Everything is made to order, and our food came out piping hot. I got the four-piece wing dinner with lemon pepper on both the fries and the chicken, plus their signature mild sauce and it was excellent. Crispy, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. The ambiance is very welcoming . I'd definitely recommend checking out Harold's Chicken in Culver City. Great service, fresh food, and convenient parking. 10/10 five stars!

She was able to sit my daughter quickly once she arrived and was able to quickly catch her up so my daughter didn't feel uncomfortable waiting for her drink orders. Sammi, was able to keep up with our refills of ice teas and coffee. Food was ok. We order the Spanish omelet to share and Mediterranean omelet. With sides of sausage and toast. The Spanish omelet was ok. The sauce was meh...it lacked the love that was provided from the old Dinah's. I do look forward to them refining their flavors and find their own taste profile. The decor was cute but lacked the charm and warmth of the old location. It seemed cookie cutter and dated...it follows a base format with no originality to set it apart from other restaurants. Would 10/10 go back as long as Sammi is working. Will walk out if she is not there. I stay loyal to good customer service.

What caught my…read moreeye was their $5 Sampler Deal (1 piece of chicken and a biscuit)--a great way to try a new spot. I'm always looking for good fried chicken (anything but KFC), and Honey's was surprisingly close in crunch and flavor to Pioneer Chicken without having to make the drive out to Boyle Heights or Bell Gardens. Located in a nice, trendy area of Culver City surrounded by bars, restaurants, and the theatre. The atmosphere inside is great with awesome music playing. For parking, there are solid public parking structures and lots nearby that accept validation from local spots like the theater. The chicken was juicy, tender, highly flavorful, and had a fantastic crunch. The biscuit was delicious. They also packed hot sauce and honey to go with my order, which made for a great sweet-and-spicy combo when added to the chicken. The biscuit was so moist and tasty, I ate it straight. The service was awesome from the second you walk in--the staff is helpful, patient, and kind. I walked in around 9:30 PM on a Thursday night, placed my order at the register, and had my to-go food in under 5 minutes. It actually caught me completely off guard how fast it was ready.

It is amazing that a spot can sprout up and totally set itself apart from all the other chicken places out there, but they have nailed it. We have been ordering delivery via DoorDash for a couple months now, probably 3 or 4 times in the last month alone, and it never disappoints. A huge part of what makes the experience so unique and delicious is the sauce selection. The chili oil with the toasted chili flakes is completely off the charts, and the garlic sauce is incredible. We also really appreciate how they prepare the greens. It is almost like a deconstructed salad wedge meets a fresh vegetable platter with pickled veggies that is so crisp and enjoyable. It is just a total gem of a spot, and there is a very good reason why they have been so successful and expanded to multiple locations. We are huge fans, will absolutely keep ordering delivery, and look forward to stopping by one of their physical locations in person soon.

I really want Kismet Rotisserie to be a four star place. Part of the reason is the sourcing. In a…read moreworld where you increasingly have no idea what kind of chicken you're eating, Kismet tells you: free-range, non GMO, antibiotic free, air chilled, California raised chicken from Sonoma County. I care about that. Probably more than the average person. And when the kitchen gets it right, the chicken is legitimately excellent. The skin is the first thing that gets you. Deeply seasoned, crisp, salty in exactly the right way, with enough rendered fat underneath to remind you why rotisserie chicken exists in the first place. Whatever they're doing there, keep doing it. The garlic sauce is also fantastic. The hummus is excellent. The wedge salad is surprisingly good. The schmaltzy potatoes make an extremely convincing argument against restraint. There is a lot of very good food here. Which makes the inconsistency especially frustrating. I've ordered enough times now to have seen basically every version of this chicken. I've had dark meat that was absurdly juicy and dark meat so dry I briefly wondered whether someone had confused "rotisserie" with "dehydration." Stranger still, I've had breast meat arrive juicier than the leg and thigh sitting next to it. That shouldn't happen this often. I've also had orders assembled incorrectly, including ordering light meat and receiving dark. Once or twice, whatever. After enough visits, it starts to feel less like bad luck and more like an operation moving a little too quickly for its own good. And then there's the portion. These are not steroidal supermarket birds, which I actually appreciate. But the resulting portions can feel almost comically small, especially if you're trying to share or let a kid steal half your dinner, which is apparently one of the principal responsibilities of parenthood. You look down and think, wait, that's it? The official menu currently lists a quarter chicken plate around the high teens and a half chicken plate at $37, so at that point execution matters. That's ultimately where I land with Kismet. The ingredients deserve more consistency than the kitchen sometimes gives them. When it's on, this is some of the best fast casual rotisserie chicken around. Beautiful skin, juicy meat, excellent hummus, garlic sauce you start putting on things that probably don't need garlic sauce and sourcing that feels unusually thoughtful for this category. When it's off, you're staring at a tiny dry thigh wondering how the hell yesterday's chicken came from the same restaurant. I'll absolutely keep ordering. I just wish ordering lunch or dinner didn't occasionally feel like checking which version of Kismet showed up that night. There's an easy four stars sitting inside this place if they can make the kitchen as consistent as the ingredients deserve.

The fried shrimp had a sweet aftertaste like it had maple or something which I don't want to taste when I'm dipping it in buffalo sauce. The catfish was a major disappointment to anyone who enjoys soul food. Hard, dry and heavily breaded. It should be crispy, light and able to cut through with a fork. The biscuits didn't even appear to have honey on them. They were hard and crunchy. If you're expecting an elevated Church's Chicken biscuit you will be disappointed. The chicken tenders were okay. Tasted like white meat chicken, big and meaty. The mac and cheese was a step above Kraft in that instead of cylindrical noodles they're at least elbow. Potato wedges were overcooked so a tad chewy. If you're looking for something akin to even moderately decent soul food you'd be better served trying your luck elsewhere. Hopefully the missing item - full pieces of fried chicken would have been decent for anyone still willing to give this spot a try.
