After hearing about Harold's and its popularity in Chicago, I was a bit excited to try the one in Los Angeles. I thought the menu had a good amount of options and the prices were reasonable so that added to my interest. The service was helpful but the desserts were highly spoken on and told us "we should try the desserts before the meal" but thank God we didn't because the peach cobbler was not good at all and that would've lessened our interest in the rest of the meal. But the chicken meal we chose was pretty good and parking was fairly easy.

I think this place deserves a lot of love as their food is tasty and crispy! Just a quick background, this food chain originated from Chicago and they currently have two locations - Hollywood and Culver City. What I'm going to rate: - 1 perch and 1/4 chicken - 1 catfish and 1/4 chicken Food: I loved the perch the most followed by the catfish. They were crispy on the outside but oh-so soft on the inside. You follow that with their crispy chicken and dip that on a sauce of your liking. You can easily get full with that and you are set. Strawberry bundt cake - this one we took home and actually forgot it in our fridge until the next day. It was REALLY GOOD even after a day in the fridge. I will not mind stopping at this place just to get me some sweet cake! Price: $$ and a half. We probably spent about close to $60 for 2 people which is probably in the MID-TIER for fried chicken but it did come with fish and all that food was MORE THAN ENOUGH for us that we had leftovers for next day. Parking: Plenty. This is located at the corner of the Culver City Mall by the old Forever21 spot. Service: I do want to personally thank Cheyenne for exceptional customer service! She is very nice and accommodating. Overall, it was the kind of spot you would go to after a long tiring day of walking and shopping especially if you are fed up with the usual mall food. TRY IT AND SEE FOR YOURSELF!

There's several people that love this chicken spot but only a few can really appreciate it. I'm one of the few. Having the opportunity to eat at over 8 different locations in Chicago, I'm very familiar with this chicken shack. What's cool about Harold's is each restaurant has its own uniqueness but the chicken and mild sauce usually close to the same. No different here at the Culver City location in LA. I ordered the wings, shrimp and fish. It was a little taste of home. Very clean, natural light, with dine in or takeout options. Great to have a Harold's here.

Tried Harold's Chicken for the first time after spotting the new location while heading to the Fox Hills Mall (Culver City Mall). As soon as my partner and I walked in, we were greeted with warm, welcoming hospitality. I didn't catch the names of the man who took our order or the woman helping at the counter, but both were very friendly and attentive. Everything is made to order, and our food came out piping hot. I got the four-piece wing dinner with lemon pepper on both the fries and the chicken, plus their signature mild sauce and it was excellent. Crispy, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. The ambiance is very welcoming . I'd definitely recommend checking out Harold's Chicken in Culver City. Great service, fresh food, and convenient parking. 10/10 five stars!

Upon entering I couldn't help but notice how clean and neat everything looked. The manager, Cheyanne was very patient as I changed my order three times and each time she said, "just take your time." THE FOOD WAS COOKED RIGHT IN FRONT OF US... big plus I ordered the 1/4 white with hot and mild sauce and my son ordered the 1/4 dark and omg that first bite was amazingly delicious, tasty, crunchy, and cooked to perfection. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HAROLD's CHICKEN

The restaurant said it was made with white sea bass, but the fish was cut into unusually large cubes that were awkward to eat and a bit too firm to bite through comfortably. More importantly, the fish itself lacked flavor. The biggest disappointment, however, was the leche de tigre. Instead of the bright, citrusy, balanced flavor that defines a great Peruvian ceviche, it tasted more like a ginger soup. The ginger completely overpowered the dish, making it difficult to recognize the classic flavors of authentic Peruvian ceviche. The chicken skewers were also underwhelming. When I order Peruvian-style skewers, I expect them to be grilled over charcoal or an open flame, with a smoky aroma and a nicely charred exterior. Instead, these lacked that signature grilled flavor. While the seasoning had potential, they were noticeably over-salted, and the bottom pieces were soggy, almost as if they had been sitting in their own juices instead of coming straight off the grill. What made the experience harder to justify was the price. We spent over $70 before tip for two entrées, two drinks, and a small side of huancaína sauce. At those prices, I expect authentic flavors and strong execution. Unfortunately, neither dish delivered enough quality to match the cost. The service was friendly, and I genuinely wanted to like this place, but the food fell short. Los Angeles has some excellent Peruvian restaurants, and based on this visit, I don't think Huarique is one I'd return to.

This location was the perfect halfway point for all of us. We arrived bright and early around 9:30 AM on a Wednesday. I had called ahead to reserve a booth, my absolute favorite kind of seating. The moment we walked in, we were greeted by a friendly hostess and immediately seated. Our server (I unfortunately forgot his name!) was fantastic. He brought out fresh coffee right away, took our breakfast orders, and was extremely kind, polite, and attentive throughout our entire meal. The menu has plenty of options, ranging from scratch-made omelettes and burritos to salads and a dedicated kids' menu. The Breakfast Plate Specials ($12-$14) Both my cousin and aunts ordered this. It came loaded with pancakes, hashbrowns, sausage, and toast--an absolute steal for the price~ Turkey Club Sandwich & Fries: I was in the mood for lunch, so I opted for the club. The fries were hot and perfectly crispy. The sandwich itself was wonderful, packed with turkey, bacon, cheese, lettuce, and tomato. My only tiny critique is that I wish it came with mayo (I'm a huge mayo fan!). However, I ordered a side of ranch which paired perfectly and really elevated the sandwich. The vibe here is incredibly laid-back, welcoming, and brightly lit. Everything--including the restrooms--was sparkling clean. They had TVs playing a local soccer game and a nice bar area where it looks like they serve up a great selection of beer and wine for happy hour. I didn't grab an alcoholic drink this time, but I already have my eye on a cranberry mimosa for my next visit! Before you leave, make sure to check out the front counter--they have a massive display of freshly baked cookies, pies, and other goodies~ For the price, the food is absolutely worth it and the service is top-notch. Thank you so much, Dinah's Comfort Kitchen--we will definitely be back when we're in the area again!

I really enjoyed my sandwich and the honey I added just enhanced the flavor so much. In my opinion it would've been a lot better with just a big piece of lettuce instead of the mixed salad (with carrots and all) in it though. My boyfriend also really enjoyed his 3 piece. I also ordered a lemon cheddar biscuit on the side and I would honestly go back just for that biscuit. It took me by complete surprise because it was just that amazing. I will say the inconstancy of seasoning on the fries in the same order really threw me off. My fries were so good and very well seasoned while my boyfriends were unseasoned and extremely bland but they give you a really good amount of fries so I shared mine with my boyfriend. Overall I would definitely recommend this place.

The chicken is actually seasoned, which feels rare and appreciated, and the salad, yes the very plain looking wedge, has no business being that addictive once you add the sauce and pickled veggies. The pita disappears faster than expected, and the hummus is quietly solid without trying to impress you. Their rotating sandwich of the month is also a must. The one with plantains and a spicy kick had us in a chokehold. We kept reordering it like it was a limited-time personality trait. Safe to say this place has earned a permanent spot in our meal rotation.

However, I think it's safe to assume you should always include utensils for delivery orders. I was left rummaging through our office break room only to find knives -- you all know that feeling. How exactly am I supposed to eat a salad? With my hands like a caveman? On to the food! The schmaltzy potatoes were a massive upgrade over the pita. Most places have subpar pita anyway, so I don't even bother ordering it anymore. Potatoes with garlic sauce? Say less! They were cooked perfectly and had great flavor. Paired with that garlic sauce -- forget about it! The rotisserie chicken was decent, but not great. It was seasoned and flavored well, just not particularly memorable. The salads on the other hand, were top-tier. I loved the pickled salad with the pepper; it was great. The Caesar salad with the big chunks of iceberg was also really good, and the dressing was fantastic. My only complaint is that they packaged the salad in the same container compartment as the chicken. The chicken ended up covered in Caesar dressing. I didn't hate the combination, but I prefer to sauce my chicken on my own and would have much preferred them to be packaged separately. As for the extras, the chili oil wasn't very spicy, so I wouldn't get it again. The garlic sauce was great, and while I'm glad I ordered extra, they actually give you a pretty generous portion to begin with. The hummus, however, was pretty bland and I didn't finish it. Even after mixing the oil on top into the hummus, it still lacked flavor. I probably wouldn't get the chicken or the hummus again, but I would absolutely order all of the other sides in a heartbeat, and I'd be down to try some of their other dishes. Overall, despite having very good sides, I ordered from here specifically for the chicken, and it just didn't stand out. Overall rating: 3.5/5
