Got my food within 10 minutes and customer service was excellent. The wings were flavorful, perfectly crispy, and just the right amount of sauce. The atmosphere was clean, friendly, and inviting. Seriously, the BEST WINGS! We've been looking for a great wing spot for years; somewhere with small, crispy, fresh wings. Not oversized, steroid injected ones. The search is over! We randomly drove by this place today and decided to check out the reviews. Although they weren't all good, what people were complaining about the most was just what we were looking for! We gave it a try and our love for wings was restored! The wings were small and crispy and the sauce was great! If you love spicy (like I do) there are multiple levels of hot. I got XXhot and it was perfect. A little bit of a runny nose and sweat, just how I like it. The staff was friendly and service was good as well! Meh. Wanted to give this place a try because it's close and I haven't found any other good wing places close by. It was underwhelming at best. I should have known better when I called to order; the person answering the phone seemed like she was really inconvenienced to even have to talk to a customer. They were also out of two of the things that I tried to order. I went ahead and ordered the wings anyway. Not horrible but not good enough to justify the price. The fried mushrooms tasted like they were warmed up out of box and the fried pickles were slimy. Food also tasted like the grease in the fryer hadn't been changed in awhile. Not the best experience with Kicking Wings. Ordered online via Yelp to avoid the long wait and high delivery charges. When I arrived to pick-up my order i was greeted, or lack there of, by sour faced woman. I stood at the counter for a few minutes, until another employee waiting on tables let me know someone would be with me shortly. The woman, later learned was connected to the owner, never did say anything or acknowledge me, just rude. The order was ready quickly, but not good. I ordered 30 wings and onion rings. The wings, and the onion rings were both burnt. The wings are very small, a with little or no meat on them. I would say they are Cornish hen wings! The onion rings, were worse then the wings. The onion rings were dark brown, and so burnt it was difficult to even bite into them. They were paper thin onion rings, l literally razor thin. Sadly, the quality and service, of this one time great chicken wing restaurant, so poor. read more

So, since I wrote my previous review I have been back to Kickin Wings at least half a dozen times. It would seem that I am related to some real wing junkies, and they've decided to throw their financial support behind this place. That's cool, works out well for me. I don't often write updates, but having been back so many times I have come to learn that there were two inaccuracies in my original review. Although they may not always offer it directly, if you ask they will gladly give you bleu cheese instead of ranch. Having learned this was like a weight lifted off of my shoulders. Moreover, I also complained about a lack of killer spice. Well, as it turns out, even though XXhot is the hottest wing on their menu board, they do offer something even hotter. I don't really know what this level is called, or if it even has a name. When I ordered, "The hottest you have," I was asked if I wanted the hottest on the menu or their actual hottest. Having eaten this off-menu hot several times I can honestly say that it is trying- it is hard work to put down a dozen of these wings (rewarding hard work, but hard work nonetheless). I also can't emphasize enough just how great it is to be able to call in an order ahead of time. When I go with my family we call in our order 15 minutes before we get there, and by the time that we pay and get situated at a table our food is being delivered. After avoiding this place forever due to its greasy tabletops and napkin dispensers, we decided to give it another try as it's super close to our house. Unfortunately, it was a bad choice AGAIN. We ordered simply garlic, confirming with the order taker that they were mild. Too bad there was about a tablespoon of black pepper on each wing, and the sauce was incredibly spicy. Thinking they must have mixed up our order, we called and let them know that we must have received the spicy garlic instead. The man who answers argued with us, stating that the black pepper was part of their cheese sprinkle. Hmmmm. That seems unlikely, but even if it were true, why is the sauce so spicy, like I don't know.....spicy garlic? I'll start by saying Kickin Wings food is great which almost makes me want to give them 2 stars. That said, the service is absolutely terrible. I got delivery 5 different times and it was either way late or they messed up my order every time. Don't let the driver go until you confirm your ranch count of that's important to which it is to me. They've shorted me literally every time. Today I decided to go pick up my order. They quoted 20-25 minutes. I got there in 15 and didn't get my order until 50 minutes after that. I had to ask the guy who was casually talking to a table to get me my order. The bag was tied off so I asked if the 4 ranches were in the bag and he said let me grab a couple more. I got home and had 3 total. This is my bad for not opening the bag there to double check. I get that but but a customer shouldn't have to. I'm done with them. I've also tried to order through food delivery services and Kickin Wings has shared they have a very small delivery radius. Go here if you want to wait 45 min for food that should take 15 and get into an argument with a manager when you question the amount of time that is has taken. After waiting 45 min for one burger when they were completely empty, we decided to get it taken off of our bill. The wings were decent but not decent enough to pay 80 bucks and wait over an hour for our pick-up order. We were some of the only guests wearing a mask when we came in and only saw two employees wearing them. The owner stood by a table with her buddies for most of the time we were there and did not apologize when our food came out over an hour later, cold. Some patrons of the restaurant who I assume knew the owner and employees even walked up the food counter without a mask to talk to the cooks in the back. The wings were good but not sure what is going on with the management of the place. Only two people working on Saturday. They used to have beers on tap but they just had a refrigerator with some random bottles. They didn't serve drinks right away, and it took 40 minutes for the food to come out so we were just sitting there a while. The place used to have a bunch of sports decor, but now it looks like a Pier One showroom. The TV was playing TMZ and we asked for them to change it to football. He said okay but never changed it. It's a husband & wife team, and when I went to pickup my order, albeit a bit early, the husband talked to me like I'd been there plenty of times before. He helped me with the menu, and even adjusted the sauces I ordered after talking to me about their options. I ended up with not 10, but 12 wings drenched in sauce. This place is extremely casual. I would say their best attribute is the service! The staff is nice, attentive and seem to really work well together. We stayed pretty basic with our order; Wings, Fries and Beer! The fries were great and I tend to be quite a fry snob! They had a nice selection of beer on tap. The wings did take a while to get to us but that's what happens when things are made to order. They had a very generous amount of sauce and were cooked fine. I called beforehand to make sure they were open (since it was Memorial Day). When the other line picked up I said "yes, hi, how late are you open today?" And the kid (yes, kid) said "until about 5." ("About" 5? You're either open until 5 or you're not, come on now.), so I just said, "okay, thank you." To which this kid said, "yup." and hung up. [[This should have been my first warning not to go.]] Still, my husband wanted to try them out, they had received several awards for their wings and he wanted to try them. We decided to go in, order, and bring things home. Upon arrival, the interior is very clean, well lit, spacious and organized. I was impressed by this. The young man who took our order (not the KID who answered my phone call earlier) was very nice and personable. I feel like such an old lady talking about "kids" but the youngest person in there (who answered the phone) couldn't have been more than 14-15, I swear. My husband ordered 20 bone-in wings, and asked if they could do some with XXX Hot sauce, some with Hot and some with spicy garlic. They said that was no problem. I ordered the Buffalo chicken sandwich, and we also ordered 10 bone-out wings with the spicy garlic sauce on the side. In addition to the entrees we ordered a side of waffle fries, fresh cut fries and three drinks- all to go. My husband ordered a Mountain Dew (as advertised on their site) and he was told they don't have Mountain Dew, they have coke products. Perhaps update your online menu. I ordered two unsweet iced teas, and while it WAS fresh brewed iced tea (I always ask because I don't care for nestea) and it was old AF. Got our drinks while we were waiting, no lids, no straws. We sat there for almost a half an hour for our food. There was a lady sitting inside already eating, one lady waiting for a to go order and then us. There were 3-4 guys working (none of which could have even been over 20, and that isn't a big deal when they aren't so concerned with socializing with their friends coming in to visit. The to go lady in front of us got her order and headed out. Then a group of 3-4 teenage boys came in and the workers knew them. One of the kids in this group sat down and within 5-10 minutes he had food brought out to him. I'm chalking it up to he did a call-ahead, but there seemed to be a "sense of urgency" on the workers to get him his food out and the youngest kid even went out to ask him how things were tasting (good customer service), and he started socializing with a few of the other members in the group among the tables in front. I get it's a holiday and you're not busy but come on. When we finally received our order the young man who took our order brought everything out in a double-knotted bag and a box with my sandwich in it. I asked my husband if we should check our order but he said there was no point. They weren't busy, and we had three boxes total and so everything should be there (mistake on our part). I had to ask for lids and straws for our cups- you would think if it's a to go order that would be a given but I guess not for that day. When we got back home, my husband discovered all of his wings were XXX Hot, but still tasted very good. However his waffle fries were missing. (I knew we should have checked). He said he didn't want to go back "just for waffle fries" and I decided to share my curly fries since there was an abundance of them. Just cut our losses and keep heading forward, right? My sandwich was subpar at best. The bun was almost like a croissant- really flaky and light- and was left on the grill top too long so it was really dry. The chicken breast was half the size of the bun, increasing the entire sandwich's dryness. It had hardly any sauce on it- enough for me to taste it but still dry. My curly fries tasted okay. The fresh cut fries were extremely well done. Ultimately, I was unimpressed by the food. The only saving grace on the service was the young man who took my order. The sandwich had so much potential- if someone would have taken the time to put it together properly. Pay attention to how long you toast the buns, and actually put buffalo sauce on it and it would have been great. I'm really not trying to sound like some "old bitty" but when you have a bunch of teenagers working together it's bound to be treated as a screw around shift and social hour. Just no real care for the customers (unless you're friends with them) and no tact on answering the phone (from the young kid). I heard one of the other kids (Max) answer the phone and he was actually polite, so I know it's not lack of training. Good wings, lack of customer service from the kid- to be expected. Had a few beers, they gave us a complimentary appetizer on request... that was nice. We gave it an hour.... for them to obtain the item literally IN the title of their establishments name. Don't know if they EVER got the wings... but the lady said this happens twice a week. My opinion... you have one job. If you're a wing establishment.... have those.
