We started lessons at Fancy Feet with zero dance experience and if I'm honest, very little talent…read more But thanks to Jenna's amazing teaching skills, we've made surprising progress in a relatively short period of time. My husband never thought he could do something like this, but even though dance is not something that comes easily to him, he is now able to lead with relative ease and confidence. We've actually been able to go from knowing absolutely nothing about ballroom to becoming reasonably proficient in Fox Trot, Cha Cha, Rumba, and Swing. Jenna is extremely patient, very kind, and she meets you where you are. She goes out of her way to figure out how each of her clients learns best, and she applies those techniques to help ease the learning process and ensure success. Jenna also makes you feel very comfortable, and lessons with her feel like hanging out with a friend. We truly look forward to our dance lesson each week, and best of all, we're having lots of fun. If dance is something you've always wanted to try but you're feeling unsure or insecure about it, then Jenna's the perfect teacher for you. Just do it... I promise you'll have no regrets!

They throw awesome theme based dance parties too. From young to old, one forgets all, when their fancy feet hits the floor! Enjoy life & Dance! Your new family awaits!

I am going to give Alisa's Dance Academy (ADA) a mixed review…read more My daughter has been going here for two years now. In two years, I have seen some amazing dances from ADA students. ADA has a team of dancers called the ADA Elites that competes in dance competitions. These ADA Elites girls are amazingly talented and dedicated. Every year, ADA has Nutcracker performance at the Westlake Performing Art Center. My daughter was a part of this event for one year. It was an incredible experience for both her and me. The whole show was also accompanied by Westlake high school live orchestra. It was Alisa's intention to promote art, dance and music amongst young kids. Hats off, Alisa. It's truly an admirable effort and production. Now the not so good.... The first year my daughter went to ADA, she went to her first ballet class and afterwards she told me she hated it. She almost gave up and refused to go back the next week. This was coming from a girl who had been going to dance classes 3+ years before ADA. She kept her dance classes on my urging and things did get better. I talked to one of the mom of a girl in her class. It turned out, this girl had the same problem. Apparently, the teacher was speaking nasty stuff to the girls during the first class. I was quite appalled. I never had this happened to my daughter before. Her previous dance places had been all nice people. Thankfully, I had not seen this teacher the next year. The second year was better, my daughter took two classes: ballet and jazz. Compared to last year, the ballet teacher this year was super nice. She's kind and compassionate. But my daughter recital piece was way too simple. Because of this, she did not like ballet as much as jazz. The jazz teacher was young but talented. She had choreographed quite a nice piece for the 12 girls in her class. My daughter loved going to the jazz class. My daughter would be coming back for her 3rd year in ADA next Fall. She would also be going there for summer camp. She also said she would want to participate in Nutcracker again. Hopefully we have a great experience again.

My 4 year old had Ms. KitKat and my 7 year old had Mrs. Bain and I am so thankful for their patience and kindness towards my girls. Learning ballet at any age can be a challenge but they made it so fun and disciplined! The girls also took hip hop and that was a joy to watch them learn and grow in dance! Thank you so much for all the love and support you have given my girls! Best dance place they have in central texas hand down, huge recommendation!!

I'm only giving them a 2 star because my daughter liked her instructor…read more We did a 2 year old class. They would start a few minutes late and end a few minutes EVERY TIME. The owner and her adult daughters frequently bicker in the lobby. The owner and others gossip about other parents. My most recent time, my daughter had to use the restroom. When I took her back there, there was no toilet paper, soap, or paper towels. A male teenager up front said that they are going through it too fast so they won't be providing it and the owner gave me a toilet paper roll to bring back there but then said I had to bring it back. I then had to take my kid out to the car to use hand sanitizer. LOL. It's so sad, it's comical. I would use caution when deciding on this place.

My success story consists of an old version of me and a new me. My journey started two years ago…read morewhen I was dreaming of how a skinnier version of me would impress myself, friends and family. I envisioned that my clothes would fit better, friends and family relationships would be fixed, and going to the pool would be more positive. I did everything that I could think of: meal prepping, going to the gym, ordering off of the "skinny" menu, buying trendy workout clothes to motivate me more. At the time, I was embarrassed that I was in this situation, and so I wanted to work on my insecurity, on my own. One day, I became frustrated at my level of insecurity and even more so, acknowledge that perhaps my "friends" weren't friends if they contributed to my insecurity. I came across a boot camp and without much thinking (because I didn't want to think too much of it) signed up for three times a week of boot camp for 8 months with a trainer and her female only group of trainees. I went to my first day, expecting the worse - that my insecurities would flare up and that all I would want to do was to fibble through the workout and not come back. Perhaps it was the trainer? Perhaps it was a good day at work? Perhaps pigs flew over our Texas skies, but I plopped my cleaned, unused mat and water bottle in the middle of the class and danced as if no one was watching. Soon enough, I realized that those around me were going through the same experiences. Some were encouraging, inspiring, motivating and eager to help. There was never any discussion on how someone should. There was no "should" way to lose weight, no "should" way to diet and no "should" way to do the exercise. The point was to get active and have fun doing whatever you're doing. Although I don't' reside close enough to attend the boot camp today, it is two years later, and I am attending other boot camps and doing the same exercises I learned from my brief 8 months at Buda Texas Fit Chicks. The new version of me is healthier. Since losing some weight, my priorities has change to where I don't need to go back on my old visions of myself. I don't care what pool people are thinking (if they are even thinking of me at all). I don't follow a strict "should" of boiled grilled chicken and broccoli recipe. I do whatever I feel is right for me and have fun doing it which is what I've learned during this boot camp. Thumbs up!
