The gym is nice and open, and it is a safe space for toddlers to learn to trust their bodies. Falling down here is less dramatic- almost every surface is soft and padded. The class is a little more structured but it's sort of a "here's the skill and activity" and then we do it in a rotation. The open play is a little more chaos BUT the kids love self led play. I like both!

My granddaughter learns a lot and she loves to come home and show me what she has learned. As part of the teaching criteria, in addition to academics, they are also taught gymnastics. I went to a gymnastics recital today. My little four year-old granddaughter was walking down the balance beam including little jumps. Amazing! The balance beam is not very high off the ground maybe 12 inches so she's not gonna get hurt and there's teachers right there protecting her. I was so proud of her and she was so proud of herself! By watching all the other children, our experience is not unique. All the children were so happy to be there and so well behaved and so comfortable to speak to their teachers and to each other. I am so happy that my children chose to put my grandchild at this school, where we can feel confident that she is being treated with dignity and respect, kindness, and love while being educated in a very good manner. It made me feel like they never really cared what was convenient, as long as they got our money. The other issues have been with Angela, the receptionist. They have been minor and I tend to ignore her but she can be rude and not welcoming. She made my child feel unwelcome once and that bothers me more than her being rude to just me.

The facility is beautiful, the camps and classes were always enjoyable, and most of the instructors have been absolutely amazing with the children. Unfortunately, things changed after a new coach named Val was hired. At first, I tried not to judge and wanted to give her a fair chance, but over time I became very uncomfortable with the way she interacted with the kids. I noticed her making disappointed facial expressions toward them and speaking negatively about children behind their backs, which I found very unprofessional and upsetting as a parent. We really did not want to leave because my daughter loved so much about this gym, but after this experience we felt it was best to switch elsewhere. Overall, I would still recommend this gym because the majority of the staff and programs are wonderful. However, I do hope management addresses concerns regarding Coach Val, because otherwise this easily would have been a 5-star experience for our family.

However, I was shocked to find that my child was not only UNSUPERVISED, but that the individual responsible was not wearing a mask and was on his phone. A gym is a place with a lot of dangerous equipment and opportunities for children to get hurt easily - that is why they are paid to supervise our children! At this point, it has been months since the mask mandate has been in place and the staff DO NOT WEAR MASKS. The front desk does not try to hide this fact as they hang their masks over their foreheads without covering their noses/mouths. DO NOT GIVE THIS PLACE YOUR BUSINESS. It is unsafe for your family.

Always clean, in good condition, and normally people have been great at sharing during busier times! Hot tub is great with plenty of space! I also like the warmer pool which is wonderful on my joints and not as hot as the hot tub. Perfect balance and lots of space for all ages. The lifeguards have always been great and make sure kids are safe and have the right wristbands based on their swimming abilities. Lots of workout equipment, all in good condition! Definitely not substandard equipment. I've never seen all the treadmills in use, and half of them aren't closed all the time like other places. The only machines I wish they would add are SkiErg machines! I appreciate the weights and how nice the other people at the gym have been. Very supportive and patient! I have not used a trainer yet but am considering it! The utilities have always been clean. Sure. The showers need a little extra clean, but nothing super gross or black moldy. I do wish they had dressing rooms separate from the showers, but I'll survive! My favorite thing is the staff. SUPER FRIENDLY, each and every one, and that's very special. Always greeted when I come in and always a farewell on my way out. Fabulous staff! We also can't wait to go out to the outdoor poor soon!

I notice the pool water is checked hourly and there are plenty of lifeguards. Some fixtures in the locker room are a little old style, but so what. They work and some better than newer ones Ive seen in other places. I love the sauna and equipment rooms. They have a lot of treadmills stair steppers and rowing machines. Teachers are available if I have questions. There is a plethora of classes! Even Qi gong- theres exercise dance, yoga, senior fit, strengthening, weight lifting yoga etc A lot of seniors are here and Im loving making new friends with active people my age. Ive been a member for only two months and my body definately stronger and Im sleeping better. I now have days when I feel fantastic and not just okay. I make it a point to go work out 3-4 times a week. Also theres a basketball court and other games. Im so glad I joined! Thank you YMCA staff- keep up the good work!
