I booked a last minute appointment for my son since his sister decided to cut his hair for funsies. when we walked in, another little boy had just finished his haircut. Mina whisked my boy into a chair and got him nice and comfy. it was just us so Mina and her two team crew got to work. they made sure he wasn't fussy and kept up positive reinforcement. super happy I brought him here as he has my super fine Asian hair and they cut his hair in a way that it fell naturally. Absolutely outstanding service! I didn't make an appointment, wish I would have (felt bad because they were busy...and for good reason), but they fit us in just fine. Mina did the cutting and it was an amazing experience for my young one. She knows what she is doing for sure. It's Korean ran, didn't know that before we went, my children are half Korean, so that was a nice add to the experience. Very hard working professional staff that clearly care about kids, and want them to have a good time. I showed them a picture of what I wanted, and I got exactly what we needed. The wash is worth the extra bucks, so go all in. There is also a Chuck E Cheese right nearby so it was a great day all around. Very happy customer! Mina and David are amazing and so gentle with the kids. They take their time and make sure the kids are ok as they go. And they don't get rattled if your kid is anxious or cries. They'll make sure the haircut still looks nice too. Each kids station has a tablet and they'll play whatever your kid wants to watch :) we really enjoy coming here and now our son asks to have his hair cut. read more

She stated he doesn't understand English. So why is he answering the phone and scheduling? If I could give 0 star, I would.. I'm incredibly disappointed and upset by the treatment we received today at this so-called "children friendly" salon. I have been bringing my autistic son here for over two years. In the beginning, like many children on the spectrum, he struggled with the haircutting process -- but with time, he grew more comfortable, and we continued coming back because we thought this was a place that understood and supported kids. Today, I called ahead and scheduled an appointment. When we arrived, the owners, a husband & wife team refused to even try cutting his hair. They said he was "too difficult," even though we've had many successful haircuts here in the past. They made it clear they simply didn't want to be bothered. This isn't an isolated incident. Back in March, I walked in hoping for a haircut for my son and was told they were "fully booked." I asked repeatedly for any available times that day, and they refused to offer a single appointment. It felt off at the time -- especially because I've always done walk-ins without issue -- but now it's clear: they just didn't want to serve my son. Let's be honest, they advertise themselves as a children friendly salon, but the truth is they only want the "easy" kids. If your child is neurodivergent, don't expect patience, compassion, or inclusion here. They will not accommodate you. They'll smile to your face and shut you out the second it's inconvenient for them. We've supported this business for two years. Today, they made it clear we're not welcome. Shame on them. read more

Both times that I've taken my kids there (4 year old + 1 year old) the outcome was always worth it. They do everything in their power to comfort the child during the haircut even if it's their first or second time. My wife and I really appreciate their hospitality and accommodations. We just took our almost 1 year old to his first haircut by Mina and we could not be more satisfied with the service we received. Our son was crying, screaming, and squirming nonstop! Mina was incredible and was able to cut his hair quickly and despite him moving and wailing. Her team were also helpful in holding him in place and distracting as best as they could. As a picky hair stylist myself, I am so beyond satisfied with the result and the quality of the cut. Clean and natural despite my vague request of just "trim and clean it up." Mina is very talented! At the end, they made sure we were cleaned up well (lint rollers, hair dryers, etc). They have earned a loyal 1 year old boy's business for quite a while! read more

Having a young child with autism, even something as trivial as a haircut to some can be very taxing for us. Mina's was recommended to us through an email list for families with autistic children. She was very highly recommended, yet somehow managed to far exceed our expectations. She was very kind and gentle with our son, and gave him the best haircut of his life. Finally , I found the best kid hair salon for my 3 year old daughter. We were so lucky to found them on our first tried, located in Dulles town center mall. Super convenience for moms like myself to shop and get our things done. Everyone is truely kind and professional. The owner Mina, Suzie, and Amy are all great!!!!
