I found LG on a search looking to clean up my beard and touch up my hair for a dinner and an event. It was short notice, and my Bespoke experience began before I even arrived. There arose a scheduling issue that he worked personally with me from jump to accommodate my schedule. Check. I arrived and was greeted warmly, escorted to his private studio, and we sat and chatted about what I was looking for. I'm a newbie when it comes to facial hair, and struggled with how to describe my intended look. No problem. LG took the extra time to ensure he could envision what result I was seeing in my head. He cared solely about me. Check. We began and found some areas of life experience we shared and chatted about those in a very casual but real sense. It wasn't small talk. He genuinely cares. And you feel it. Check. What seemed like a very short time later he was done, and I have never been happier with the results in my life and I'm 50! Check. Getting this type of service is new to me, a gift to myself for turning 50. And it was the best gift I could have chosen. When you're ready for a legit barber experience with a true professional and gentleman of the highest standards, LG is your man! I feel like I went in for just a service and came out with a friend. Thomas was my barber. I showed him the haircut picture and he took a picture and followed the work. The quality was okay. The vibe was quiet. Improvements: - Clean tools after using to serve the next clients for hygiene. - Be gentle when turning customer's head and pressing down ears because my barber pushed my head too hard and harsh and pressing my ears way harder than necessary. It does hurt and I got headache. Customers come in to relax, enjoy the service and get fresh cuts. - If too late and cannot take in more customers please put closed sign because customers would not want to be treated rushing and unwelcoming attitude. - I do not know why my barber did things different on previous customer and me. My barber was so gentle cleaning up mustache for previous customer. When it is my turn, my barber was too harsh and rough on my head and ears. I do not like it this part! - I showed the picture to my barber and it looks like they did not like it that I gave the example of skin fade work. Maybe my barber was rough and pushing my head too hard. Please do not do that to your customers! - Should provide shampoo and the service can charge up to $25 including shampoo. Because other places I go that is what I pay for. Here I pay $22 and rough hot towel on the back of my head. No cleaning my neck line and side line at all. It was not neat as expected. Thank you!

The salon itself is beautiful...very artsy, chic, and full of positive energy. What stood out to me most was how well everyone worked together. I was referred to Mayko after seeing the amazing job he did on my nurse's hair, and I knew I had to book an appointment with him. It ended up being one of the best decisions I've made. I'm fairly new to the area and it's always so hard to find a new stylist, but I had a great experience with Jhovanna. She really worked magic with my unruly and curly hair and taught me how to style it myself. The best part about my haircut is that I can recreate the style at home! My curls are luxurious, soft, and tame even in the hot and humid Virginia summer! In addition, my mom was in town visiting and asked for a salon recommendation. Of course I referred her to Jhovannas and this is what she had to say: "I'm traveling but I needed a haircut. Jhovanna did a WONDERFUL job, atmosphere, professional yet friendly, great shampoo in this comfortable green chair, haircut, knowledgeable about products, and the staff made me feel special. I opted for the "Deva Treatment" for curly hair that included a dry cut, wash and deep conditioning, then styling. The care that went into the cut and showing me how to style it moving forward was very much appreciated. I recommend the treatment as a first visit but future visits can only be the dry cut (making it only just more than double what I would normally pay ‍). Also, it took about 3 hours for the cut, wash, deep conditioning, & styling...another reason to only do the dry cut in the future. I'm not really sure I can justify the cost too much to return but I'm also not sure I can say that I've ever loved a haircut like I do this one. Four stars is mainly for price. Five stars for everything else.

The salon is really nice and I love the homey decor of the place. They offer complimentary coffee, tea, sodas, water, and baked goods, which I thought was a very nice touch. Employees are all friendly and welcoming. The total came to about $85. If you want your hair washed and dried, it's $40 extra. Don't forget to bring cash for tip. There is no tipping option on the receipt if you plan on paying with card.

When I walked in, there was one stylist cutting hair and approximately seven people waiting for haircuts. I approached the front desk, where a woman was sitting on a stool looking at her phone. I said, "Hello," but received no response. I then said, "Excuse me" and "Hello" two more times, yet I was still completely ignored. She was so focused on her phone that she didn't seem to notice I was standing less than a foot away from her. After several unsuccessful attempts to get her attention, I finally raised my voice so that everyone in the waiting area could hear me say, "Hello." She looked up, laughed as if she realized she had not been paying attention, and then asked, with an attitude, "What do you want?" I replied, "Well, a haircut would be nice." She informed me that there were no availability until around 5:00 p.m. and that I would have to come back. I asked whether appointments were required, and she curtly replied, "No," before immediately returning to her phone. I left without scheduling an appointment. I cannot comment on the quality of the haircuts because I never had the opportunity to receive one. However, I can say that the customer service and first impression I experienced were disappointing. A front desk employee sets the tone for a customer's visit, and unfortunately, my experience was unprofessional and unwelcoming. Based on that experience alone, I would not return.
