Was looking for a permanent daycare for my daughter so tried this place out a few times. I will say if you work at a hospital or have backup care I highly recommend finding another place to take your little ones. I've confirmed care on multiple occasions just to get to the door and be told they can't take my daughter. They are simply unreliable, and the director Courtney lacks basic people skills. The best Day Care/ Learning Center in the Cypress-Houston area. My daughter has been coming here for 8 years now and we have peace of mind that she is in a safe environment. Inappropriate/Unprofessional behavior: My 6 year old son told me that Rick, owner, was repeatedly yelling at him to put his seat belt on. My son told him that he did not know how and Rick walked over to him and snatched it from his hands. This was handled by Courtney ,Assistant director, calling me to apologize and having a conversation with my son. I received no update on what measures were taken to correct Rick's behavior. Rick never addressed the issue with us directly. My son has told me that he is always yelling at the kids. Lack of compassion: When my son was out because he was ill with COVID, not one person from the facility called or texted to see if he was ok or check in to see how he was doing. I've had my kiddos at other daycares and every other day care calls or texts to check in when they are out ill. Lack of communication: When my oldest son was out with COVID. I informed them that my youngest had no symptoms and tested negative. I asked when they could return. They responded with a date when my oldest could return. They did not communicate that my youngest also had to be out of daycare for the same length of time. So we did not find that out until we attempted to drop him off. This caused an uproar because it interfered with work schedules and gave us zero time to plan to find alternative care. Lack of accountability: When my son's father spoke with Rick about the above bus incident, he denied it. Another time, Courtney called me frustrated with a rude attitude telling me that my son was not on the bus and he was making everyone late. I reminded her that he is never on the bus on Thursdays and this was communicated weeks ago via a phone call and the Brightwheel app they use. The next few days she would not even look at or talk to me. She never apologized for her rude behavior or her mistake thinking my son was supposed to be on the bus. Inflexible: My youngest son is unable to have dairy products. They will not provide alternative food options or heat up food that you bring for them. I forgot to provide an alternative meal one day that they were having pizza and I asked them to remove the cheese. They refused. There are other schools that accommodate this for children and that are more affordable. Check out PRIMROSE OF COPPERFIELD. When I informed them that I was planning on switching day cares not one person from the office asked me why. They didn't ask if there was something they could do better or different. So, I decided to write this very detailed google review so that they understand what needs to change and so other parents could make an informed decision before they decide on a daycare. The facility is beautiful and huge hands down. However, that is not what is important to me. My kids' emotional health, professional behavior, and communication is so much more important. read more

I've had Valentina attend various day care centers & they were good but enrolling my daughter at this day care made me feel like I should've enrolled her here a long time ago . I love how they get the parents involved in things & how they have little cute events for the kids . The day care is also very neat & overall a very clean place . Our infant daughter has been going to Kid's World for about 3 months, and our experience has been great. We moved her there from another daycare, and her caregivers ensured she had a smooth transition. We love that they use the Brightwheel app so we can see what she's doing all day and get pictures of her. I also like how involved the owners are. I see them at drop off and pick up almost daily, which is a huge change from our last daycare. It makes me feel better they oversee daily operations instead of leaving it to someone else. read more

I appreciate the entire team for being my VILLAGE as a single mother! My son is safe with them and on top of that he has learned so much. He comes home happy and telling me what he learned that day! One day he came home with subtraction questions and I was blown away, no other daycare took the time to teach him anything. I experienced two bad daycares (so I had beyond trust issues) including physical abuse towards him. I don't give reviews at all but my child was new to the daycare never even been in Texas before. Spoke with the director Mrs. Courtney she was awesome very welcoming & understanding. Unfortunately my child week for a good 2 weeks and we knew this was not the place for him. Wrote up a letter within the 2nd mid week to say immediately withdraw. Called the owner since I never heard anything back from the unenrolled email. Ms. Nancy was very rude, kept cutting me off, trying to talk over me, wanted the last word, very unpleasant. As I was getting understanding - she ended the call with I Will unenroll him bye And hung up. The MOST DISRESPECTFUL OWNER OF A DAYCARE I HAVE EVER ATTENDED. Mrs. Courtney is no longer there & If I knew she was leaving as soon as my child started I would have never enrolled him. Due to proximity to our home, KWLC was the first place we looked when needed to find daycare. We have been so fortunate that what was near us was such high quality. Our oldest has been there for four years, and our youngest started at 10 weeks. Between them, we've had a kid in every class they have. We have a great relationship with the Admin team, and have had amazing teachers for our kids rooms. We can't imagine them being anywhere else!! read more

My daughter started going here at 18 months and she is now almost 4, and my son is almost 2. They have great staff and my babies are always happy! I especially love how safe I feel like they are there and that there are live cameras. My kids have grown up with their classmates and have developed friendships even as young as they are. Kids world also offers other activities and sports, along with a ton of art projects they are always bringing home. Sometime I go to pick them up early but they're having so much fun I just leave them there another hour or two and can go get more work done! I am pretty high maintenance when it comes to daycares. We absolutely loved our original daycare that our oldest started at and we were devastated when we moved and needed to switch daycares. Unfortunately we tried several other center before coming to Kids World. We had some rough experiences with the other centers and I was definitely anxious about trying another location with a newborn. I've always thought I couldn't be comfortable with a daycare without a camera but after having the rough experiences with locations even with cameras, we decided to go with our guts on how we felt visiting the center without factoring in whether there was a camera or not. We have been at Kids World for several months and we absolutely love it! Our almost 4 year old comes home every day telling us how much fun she has and how much she loves her school. They do such fun things with the kids and she has learned so much. With our newborn, the teachers obviously love her and they are so caring! I visit several daycare centers and what I love about this center is the fact that the owners are both on site! The facilities are nicely kept and the classrooms are filled with toys and activities for the students to engage with. The teachers are always busy teaching, singing, or doing crafts with the students and rarely do I ever hear an upset student crying or yelling. I would send my child to this daycare. read more

They used finger nails crashed my boy when he is 2 and haft years old on the second day at school. Now he is 7, still has the mark on the face from that. They're all so rude and don't know how to care about kids. I dropped him off and stay in couple minutes with him on the breakfast time, I saw a girl crying so long but nobody cares about her. It was an absolute pleasure being a part of the Kids World family during our son's tenure there. He learned so much and had an amazing time. He was a student at the school for over two-years. He learned to read, write, and socialize while being in a safe and very friendly environment. We truly enjoyed the staff and other parents. Both of my kids have gone here, basically their whole lives! My daughter started at 18months and is almost 4, and my son has gone here since he was 6 months old and is almost 2 now. They love it there! I love the peace of mind of a great Director and staff, there are cameras and a lot of security, it's always clean and the kids are happy. They have a great schedule of play, education, art, and more. I also am super appreciative that they aren't afraid to parent these kids and discipline them in a kind but stern way, so they aren't just running wild! My kids have developed friends there and don't cry when I drop them off, so it makes my day easier knowing they're busy, happy, and well taken care of while I work. read more

I witnessed on the web cam a worker jerk my child by his arm. I called and complained. The directors response was "she said she jerked him by his shirt". Never once mentioned how the situation would be handled. Ironically an hour later I got a call to pick him up because he was misbehaving although I never saw it on camera. I kept him out the next day and on the day after I sent him back. Once again I got a call to come get him for misbehaving although once again I never saw it on camera. At that point I felt it was retaliation. As far as the web cam, the quality sucks and each day I logged in I had access to camera I shouldn't have access too. They will try to convince you it is the best quality. It's far from that. So enter your child at your own risk. Don't be fooled by the appearance of the facility which is nice. read more

My 4yr old has attended since end of June and we love it. He's learning so much. His teacher pushes/ encourages him to learn more and to do his best. The staff are all so friendly. As parents, we thought of letting it go on what happened to our child, and move on and learn from this awful experience. Then, after much thought, no child should be subject to any situation like this. We could go through a list of incidents and conversations that happened with the director and teacher, but we not going to waste any more energy or time on this place. However, we will say this. We knew something wasn't adding up with our child's behavior and the staff oddness. We got confirmation when going through our child's artwork that was given to us by the daycare to find the teacher's journal notes of incidents and conversations, and recording any and everything to a scratch on our child. The journal was twisted lies of conversations we had. There was one particular incident that was told to me by director that did NOT come close to the teacher's journal notes. Meaning, someone is not/was not telling the truth, either the director or the teacher was lying. It was very black and white at that point what happened to our child and we've spent the last month deprogramming our child not to think that she was in trouble or timeout. She stopped having night terrors and soiling on herself shortly after leaving this daycare.. The emotional stress this daycare put on me as mother for months is unacceptable. No mother or father should go trough this draining emotional roller coaster ride. Our child is doing EXCELLENT in her new school! She welcomed every morning by compassionate and encouraging staff and teachers and in loving environment. She's in a HUGE classroom, adjusted well and promoted into the correct age group for her maturity. We discovered our daughter is hitting at a 4/5 level and continuously is learning now. It's amazing to see your child go from a miserable environment into loving and secured environment. It makes world of a difference... a HUGE lesson learned!!!! My child is HAPPY, giggling and smiling again!!! Helpful tip: go to dfps.state.tx.us AND SEARCH for a licensed child care center for violations and revokes. You'll be amazed by what you will find. HERE'S THE UNEDITED INSULTING AND SHALLOW VERSION FROM "ALWAYS P." I'm a mother of two children at this facility and I've been above and beyond pleased with the care. The teachers are warm, caring, wonderful and always go above and beyond to nurture my children. The learning environment is wonderful I see my children thriving in wonderful ways. Clean, excellent service, professional and above all they communicate open and honestly with their concerns and praises for my kids. I think it's sad that often all you hear is the WHINING wheels of the WORLD like the comment above, sometimes parents can be unrealistic with their expectations and blame the entire world for the areas which they fail in or things they can't carry out on their own. I wouldn't be throwing stones unless you know the facts and/or you've walked in my shoes. Yes, maybe you do need to inquire from the other side before you start judging.. And... Our school BLOWS this daycare away. There's a wait list in our school, that's how great it is! I LOVE KWLC! I had been at a different awful DCP before, and went to them on short notice with my special needs infant. They have taken such amazing care of us, and I wouldn't trust my child with anyone else. They have worked with our therapy team seamlessly, and I love not having to worry about my child while I'm at work. They have been happy to work with us with special requests and I can't say enough good things about all the staff there. They love what they do and it shows. :) read more

My daughter attended this center for about two years before leaving for Kindergarten this school year. Our experience with this preschool was exceptional from the very beginning. The teachers, administration and support staff were all the best example of how a preschool program "should" be operated and I will continue to recommend them to anyone looking for the very best child care in our area. Kids World has an exceptional program. I have two young children that attend and they love it there. They offer curriculum for all of their classes that are specific to their age level and development, which I love. Both my children have learned a lot since they started a year ago. My oldest son worked on potty training and the teachers were VERY helpful. The lines of communication were always open and they made sure to continue what I was doing at home at school. Worst experience with a business!!!!! I tried to explain to the owner how unhappy I was with the unfairness my child has been treated with. - they bribe children with candy and of course my child never received anything. - another parent told me she knew who my child was, because she was the bad one. - she is only 3 and the teacher tells her "it is not my problem"and as soon as she started there she started repeating very negative comments. -When I asked the teacher about the day all they would say "she was not listening". After previously trying to talk to the teacher and principal in other days; today I decided to finally talk to the owner. She listened to me for 15 minutes; she told me that it's probably just the kids. When I said "you are trying to tell me that is fine, she has had such a negative experience here" she raised her voice and said to not put words in her mouth. I said ok fine; explain yourself she responded that, she had nothing to say. We went back and forth on anything I said she said to not put words in her mouth. When I said, talk I want to know what is it that you have to say; she said she had nothing to say. Finally she told me that if I was so unhappy to take my child somewhere else. I stood up I told her that legally I had paid for the week and after Friday she would not come back. I left the office as I walked out she started yelling at me that she could accept or deny any child. She kept on yelling and I turned around on the exit I told her to be professional that it's her business not mine. She threatened and said "I strongly suggest you take your child with you" I said "I strongly suggest this week runs smoothly. I was amazed at her reaction and the way the owner dealt with the situation. I had my husband go back and pick her up. She told my husband she was going to call him!!!!! she said after all the bashing I had done; she is still human. Needless to say my baby will never go back; they are a threat. I feel bad for all the good people that do work there but after getting to know the owner I would not have my child in a place like this. read more

After touring 6 other facilities in the Cypress area, we chose Kid's World Learning Center to care for our newborn in June of 2013. We were extremely impressed with the cleanliness of the facility and overwhelming helpfulness of their staff. The structure of their curriculum was exactly what we were looking for and all of the classrooms were full of happy, smiling children. The fact that Shondra (the Director) knew every child's name and every child we saw ran to her with open arms made us feel secure that this was a place where children were actually 'cared for' rather than 'watched'. Unfortunately, our son was born premature so we had to make other childcare arrangements and did not enroll him in Kid's World. However, Shondra went out of her way to work with us throughout our decision-making process regarding his care.
