My grandson (age 5 1/2) has been at KidStrong (5 sessions a month) for several months now. I usually drive him to it, and more often than not I stay to watch. His mother comes from work and is almost always there by the time the session starts. KidStrong is perfect for him. He loves it, his parents love it, I love it, and he benefits from it in many ways. I don't actually know how much it costs, but I hope that he can keep it up for a long time. The coaches are very good with kids. The agenda for each 45-minute session is on a big TV/computer in the exercise area, and the coaches are good about following it. A few weeks ago I watched one of the coaches do more chin-ups than I could count--easily 50--while he was waiting for the class to start. He didn't act or talk like a superstar and didn't look muscular (hard to tell under their black "Coach" sweatshirts. My grandson saw most of it, and was thoughtful about it. The next week I saw him do several chin-ups, and afterwards he told me he had been practicing. There are as many girls as boys in his group, but his sister takes dance lessons and isn't interested in KidStrong. But she often stops by to watch her brother. read more

My kid has been at KidStrong for more than 6 months now and it became her favorite class of the week. We started this program to help with her lack of self-confidence and this program has really delivered. Every class, she feels more capable and stronger! On top of that, I was going through breast cancer treatment , making it impossible for us to keep attending. Despite all this, the company refused to refund the remaining months of the membership. I am so happy that we said Y E S to KIDSTRONG!!!! For the first three classes, my son's confidence was low and I had to carry him for the first 10 to 15 minutes, in the beginning of each class. I was wondering if I was wasting my money and I am so glad we stuck it out!!!! My son cannot wait to get to classes, he gets excited every time we put on his jersey. He now does not need me to hold him at all and loves interacting with the kids. He is learning colors, sign language, and definitely increasing his mental and physical capabilities. I called to ask for a refund of over 1000$ and the manager lady said she'll talk to her director and get back to me but since then no one is answering my calls or messages. Very disappointed with the manager, Jade at KidStrong. My daughter is on the spectrum but very high functioning and we saw kid strong and it was right up her alley, she's very active. My daughter gets services through San Diego regional center for choice of activities for kids with disabilities to help them thrive. Jade not only strung us along for two months, but never responded to any emails from me personally or regional center and never showed to a scheduled appointment we had for enrollment that jade scheduled herself with our regional center case manager, and when she tried to call jade when the appointment was missed, jade never answered or returned her calls or voicemails. My daughter was very excited about starting, as jade promised, I'm not sure why she avoided getting my daughter enrolled. She wasted so much of our time and regional centers time, and also hurt our daughter's excitement, and we can't even explain to our daughter exactly why we are being rejected. None of us have experienced such behavior from a company. Jade never returns calls, texts or emails. I finally was able to catch her in person to help me reschedule my son's missed class and she blew me off. So unprofessional. They were the ones that canceled his class because they didn't have a coach. I tried to reschedule for over a month and finally we just stopped going. Apparently they don't like dealing with autistic kids at this place, my kids were referred to this place to help them understand and follow directions as well as have some interaction with other kids their age(3) and this jade person never answered emails my San Diego Reginal coordinator sent her. Then I tried calling, texting emailed and was ignored. As soon as I tried the free trial I was immediately called back, but once they find out I was supposed to already have a membership paid by regional was ghosted again. Jade said to my face they just didn't know how the kids would do so that's why they never bother moving on with that membership and encourage people to do the trial first. Strangely enough I had to go around loops just to do the trial after the trial is done and the girls do amazing especially for their first time(my husband and I are the ones running and helping our girls do everything they didn't have to do or redirect at any point) I'm told JEDE will immediately respond confirming our membership almost a week later and that woman still hasn't responded to a damn thing. So it makes me believe they simply do not want any autistic kids at this place. Super hateful! read more

My 5-year-old son attended summer camp at the KidStrong Carlsbad location, and we wanted to become members. We tried to sign up through the website, but it didn't work. When I called to request that he be placed in the same class as his friends, I was told there was no space available in that class. I didn't feel comfortable giving my credit card information over the phone, so I tried to book online. I received an email confirmation for a trial class at my desired time slot. When we arrived, the lady at the front desk told me she saw our name and informed her manager that we had already done the summer camp and couldn't have another trial class. I explained that I was ready to pay for the class and sign up for a different time slot, but I didn't want my child to be rejected since we were already there. She insisted that there was no space in that class and that she would not allow my child to participate, no matter what. My son was crying, and we had driven for 45 minutes. I requested to pay for the membership or the class, become a member, and attend a class with availability, but I wanted my child to participate in the class with his friends just for that day. She knew we were coming and knew she was not going to let us in, but she didn't even show the courtesy to call and inform us. She claimed she didn't send the confirmation email. It was clear she was not familiar with the website or children in general. As a previous customer and potential member, I expected some understanding and consistency for my child, who was excited and wearing his KidStrong t-shirt. Unfortunately, it was too much to expect from KidStrong, as it seemed to be all about disappointing kids. The lack of professionalism was particularly troubling given that children were involved. The staff's inability to communicate effectively and their unwillingness to accommodate a young child's excitement and emotional needs were deeply disappointing. It is essential for organizations that cater to children to demonstrate empathy, flexibility, and a high level of customer service. The staff's rigid and dismissive attitude not only ruined my son's day but also reflected poorly on KidStrong's commitment to its young members and their families. I don't know what her problem was with her attitude and understanding or the power dynamics between her and the management, but it was very unprofessional and disheartening to witness such behavior in a place meant to nurture and support children. read more

My son and us parents love this so much. Prior to this it would be a struggle to get my son to get motivated and truly excited with swimming, soccer, etc. He LOVES KidStrong and what started out as motivation for rewards, awards and t-shirts as turned into motivation for working hard. KidStrong has been great for our 4 yr old son!!! At first he was a little apprehensive about going, but now he loves it! Being in the early education field myself, I may have been a little skeptical about the curriculum and what makes this different than my son being in preschool? But, KidStrong helps to build upon the skills you are already helping the child develop while they are in the classroom with you. They individualize to the ability of the child too! For example, my son recently had surgery and the incision was on his hip area. Of course the doc said take it easy. My kid is not an easy kid. But he listened and told the coaches he couldn't flip on the bar because of his surgery.....we'll they came up with an alternative move for him so that he didn't miss out on activity all together! Coach Tyler, Coach Jade and Coach Steven are great and genuinely enjoy working with the kids, all the coaches do! I even Recommended it to one of my pre-k teachers as a 2nd job!! read more
