Went in for front bumper/hood repair. Sent me 1 estimate ahead of repairs. Then when I was told car ready presented me 2 estimates doubling $$$. When I started my car sounded like Massive exhaust issue. Car wouldn't run. They kept car for the afternoon I picked it up evening time told they reset my 12v battery cured problem. I took my car to reputable mechanic 12v battery damaged and I had new aftermarket catalytic converter sans 02 sensor. It seems that my car in possession of Kiet my 12v battery was destroyed and catalytic converter stolen and to cover it up Kiet put in aftermarket part. I guess he's taking my more expensive Original cat for the $$ metals. Kiet has poor dog tied to chain animal looks filthy has sores and didn't have access to a bed. It was tied up in corner to old car. I hope same happens to Kiet. read more

I'm a supporter of local businesses, but even I find myself not in favor of the service here at Kiet's auto. These brothers are the most dishonest, fraudulent, and swindling mechanics I've dealt with by far. To cut to the chase, here's why: 1. FALSE ADVERTISEMENT: On local newspapers, you'd see this shop's ads more than a few time, ensuring its "FREE TOWING" special. Guess again, it's not free; you are to pay. Their argument is that Coung (the older brother) has nothing to do with Kiet's deals. One doesn't have to keep his partner's word. If you took a closer look, you'd see how they play tricks in their advertisement: the ad shows the 16th Ave office's address, while the photo is clearly of the Roxbury shop. So no matter the case, they can still have a way to deny the validity of the ad and your claim. You can't win. You just can't. 2. THEY PROLONG THE PROBLEMS: Don't be naive when you car gets sent back quickly, looking all fixed and done. And don't be so if the estimate seems cheaper compared to other places. There are reasons for that. My car just had to keep coming back repair after repair, and mind you, it's not old or carelessly kept. The thing is, they never fully completed the fix, which resulted in minor problem this leading to major problem that. Needless to say, losing nickels and dimes in a long-term run is far worse than a one-time money. The moment when I stopped doing business with them and sent my car to another place was perhaps the wisest of mine. No, not perhaps, that's for sure. 3 years of keeping up with them was the stupidity on my end. 3. DON'T BUY THEIR CARS: Take this from a first-hand experience. They are bound to give you a year of guarantee and free checkups, there's no denying that. However, they'd never tell you the problems of your car, because they'd have to fix it out of their pocket of course. Hell, they never tell you any problem in the beginning when luring you to buy their cars, why would they do it after you've bought it, right? When the one-year's term is up, believe me you, they'll give you a list of why your car is a piece of junk, things they don't say when advertising their cars. 4. HOW DO YOU KNOW IF THESE PEOPLE ARE DISHONEST: _Their service fee is always a very rounded number. $80. $250. $700. $1000. $2500. You can imagine why: they just make those numbers up. _When replacing a part, they will never show you the receipt of that part when asked. _Fix this problem A. Get the car home. Here comes problem B... And C... _They seem very nice with you at first, but not for long. Having customers keep coming back to them, on one hand, is a trick to keep their money flow. One the other hand, it causes suspicion. Once they sense that you have suspicion, you are one lemon squeezed up. _Though their estimate may seem low those first times, when you rely too much on their service, the cost at other places is just of a fraction of the cost here. _Ask around, you'll learn why Kiet's auto doesn't have long-term customers. Those pledging to be their "life-long customers" have apparently been there only once or twice. This is a business built on the opposite of integrity and honesty. 5. I FEEL DUMB AGAIN because it took me one year to cut off dealing with Kiet, another year to find his brother Coung a sly little man, and another year to finally get done with them. They talk behind each other's back, gaining your trust by disparaging the other. Don't be fooled like I was. ----- I'm typing this not for a revenge or a "get back" moment. What's through is through. I'm doing this because I know how hard it is to find out you've been swindled the whole time. I'm doing this because there are still innocent people out there thinking well of the bad guys. Remember those autobody shop horror stories? This shop will bring back those memories. If you brought your car in after an accident, going here would be another accident. Had a family member bring their car here and car was not repaired to pre-loss condition. The estimate required new parts to be installed but Kiet used a hammer and body filler to make the old parts fit again. I requested over and over that he make things right and redo the work but after leaving the car there several more times, all he did was polish up the car a bit more. The paint also had small strands of hair in it. I know that most auto shops will leave behind a little dust in the clear coat that can be removed but hair? During the post repair inspection, I found out that he used staples and body filler on a front bumper that was supposed to be brand new. Event he second shop was in disbelief that a body shop can get by doing this kind of work. Some of the other front body panels also didn't fit together quite right and the frame is still bent. If he waives the deductible, he's planning on skipping some work without your knowledge. Also,the owner also doesn't give receipts or invoices for certain bigger insurance repairs that he does, so watch out for this. If you were misfortunate enough to have your repaired here, bring it to a different shop for a post repair inspection-I guarantee that they'll find something wrong and make sure to bring the original insurance estimate with you so they can go over all the work that was not done while Kiet was paid for it. P.S His workers don't seem to have much autobody experience. I saw an employee drop a bumper on the ground, look around, and the attempt to get it to fit on the car. It didn't really want to go on so he calls some other employee over and they proceed to drill extra holes in the bumper! read more

Simply put, best price, fastest turnaround, delivered on all promises of service. No joke, I just wrecked my rear bumper on my 4Runner. I got bids from 4 places ranging from $940 (Big E in Burien) to $700 at Kiet's...a very substantial difference (savings). Even better, the fixed it the very next day when everyone else needed 1-3 WEEKS to "fit me in". So glad I shopped around and found these guys. The even detailed the rest of the body w/o charging me anything extra. Their shop isn't big & shiny but who cares as long as they do quick & affordable solid work. My car was recently sideswiped by a semi truck, and it knocked off my side-view mirrors and also scraped a good amount of paint off my driver's side door. I took it to Kiet for an estimate and got one right away. He worked with their insurance company, so I didn't have to do any work but to bring my car in for repair. He even worked with them on getting me a rental for the three days my car would have to be there. His office is welcoming and homey, provides drinks and WiFi! The rental car company came to pick me up from Kiet's and brought me to my rental car. When I picked up my car I just had to leave the rental there and they took care of everything else. I couldn't believe how new and shiny my car looked after wards. They wash and buff shine your car after they repair it!!! I just love the peace of mind and quality of their service I get whenever I take my car into Kiet's. I love Kiet's Auto Body!!! My uncle got into a fender bender and ended up wrecking his front bumper which needed to be replaced. Kiet's auto body shop gave us a really good deal, the bumper was fixed in one day and the nice people worked overtime just to ensure us that the car would be fixed the same day. They gave my uncle a good deal! Other places said it would be around 2K to fixed but kiet's auto body gave us a good deal! They did a beautiful job and the bumper looks absolutely brand new! So last spring when I bumped into a sidewalk and peeled off a gigantic piece off the side of my car; I knew exactly where to go. Peter and his wife are two of the kindest, most honest people I have met. I worked with them to repair damage to a car that needed some work. I was nervous about the price but after speaking with Peter, I agreed to go ahead with the work. He even took $300 off the price when he was able to find better parts. We got in a car accident right after Christmas. Not our fault. Fellow lied. In the end, my insurance was going to have to pay. Got an estimate and was told it would cost somewhere between $600-$700. With $500 deductible, it didn't pay to even have our insurance pay as we all know what happens when you report an accident. Went to Kiet on New Year's Eve to get another estimate. He fixed my car for free -- insisted on taking no money so we donated $$ to his kids' school instead. Honest, kind, compassionate, funny and very, very nice. read more
