I have been seeing Dr. Lin for over a decade, and he has been nothing but professional and knowledgeable. He is also incredibly patient and gentle with my dental care and treatments. The office is super clean, and the staff are friendly. Even though my work location has moved twice and is now farther away, I still see Dr. Lin because I have 100% confidence in putting my dental health in his care. I saw mixed reviews from various Yelpers and I seriously believe some people may have confused this place with another dental office of a similar name. ****Please don't go to Kifer Park Dental - Dr. Stanley Lin for any kind of dental treatment!! *** I recommend avoiding Dr. Stanley Lin for dental treatment! Otherwise, you take this on at your own risk. Dr. Stanley Lin would do anything, including damaging your teeth, to make huge profit! My Dental hygienist wrote down '14 - L root caries' on the clinical notes. '14 - L root caries' means a cavity on the lingual (tongue‑side) root surface of tooth #14. It can be done with small fillings. However, when I went to see Dr. Stanley Lin (the owner of Kifer Park Dental). He kept insisting that I needed a new crown, and it would cost $2,000. And for tooth #13, which has no cavity. He told me that if I don't get a crown for tooth #13, it may need a root canal very soon, which cost me another $2,000, totally cost is $4,000. I regret trusting his advice, but I did because he had been my dentist since 2021. However, I am old (over 50 yrs old) and my teeth was week. He should have known that I needed to avoid unnecessary dental treatment. He removed the old crown on tooth #14 and also removed the existing silver filling on tooth #13 during the same appointment. These two teeth are right next to each other. I'm older now, and I couldn't handle having both procedures done in the same appointment." But did Dr. Stanley Lin care? No. All he cared about was charging me $4,000 for crown procedures that were totally unnecessary. What was the worst part? I'm older now, and my tooth was already weak. During the procedure, he fractured the root of my tooth #14. And for tooth #13, it already had a deep silver filling. He removed too much of that filling, exposing the root and causing an infection in the tooth. After the procedure, I felt intense pain in my tooth for a few days. I knew something had gone very wrong. I called Dr. Stanley Lin's office and told them that Dr. Lin might have fractured my tooth (either tooth #13 or #14). I wanted to come in to see him. Dr. Lin assured me that the pain was mainly because the crown was temporary, and that the pain would go away once he put in the permanent crown. I didn't believe him anymore. I told him that I needed to see an endodontist and get a CT scan to find out what had really gone wrong. The result was that tooth #14 was fractured, and tooth #13 had an exposed root. Besides paying Dr. Lin $4,000 for what unnecessary dental treatment, I now have to pay the endodontist over $5,000 for the root canal on tooth #13 and the procedure to treat the fractured root of tooth #14. Dr. Stanley Lin is a very greedy, and an unethical dentist!! Don't go there for dental treatment. He will do whatever he can to damage your teeth to make money out of that! read more

Most of the issue I have with this place is that we schedule an appointment and every time we come for our appointment 10 min early, they place us on wait for over 30 min when ask it's always 5 more minutes and 1 person ahead. If it happens once in a while I'm ok with but every appointment every month it's the same. I tried different times and days but always a 20+ min wait when we come. I would have given it 0 star if I could. I have been going to this dental place for more than 5 years and I finally decided I should dump it. Over the years, the service quality has significantly deteriorated. The dentist turnover is super high - almost changing dentist/hygenist every half year. Jessica Lam is especially bad. She is very unprofessional and treats patient very rudely. Most of the regular dental cleaning is done by hygenists who treats your mouth as if it is made of cement. I've been waiting on "Mandy" to figure out my claim for my retainer for almost a month. Back and forth back and forth ... I am playing mid man with them and my insurance. "Mandy" and the incompetent staff say they will call me back and never do... Don't return my messages. Say they will call me back regardless if there is new news and doesn't ... And my insurance is saying they have been waiting this whole time for "Mandy" to submit some sort of "statement for being" letting them know why I need a retainer. I have nothing but great things to say about this office and staff. I needed an appointment on short notice due to new pain that occurred and Gabby helped get me in right away. I was then taken care of by Karina and she was excellent, I felt extremely comfortable in her care. I had also just brought my 6 year old daughter in a couple months ago for a baby root canal and the staff was awesome. She was so comfortable with them and the procedure that I didn't even need to be in the room with her. After her appointment, I was worried that she would be in pain, but that's wasn't the case at all. She only experienced the mildest discomfort for a very short amount of time. They are very efficient appointment schedulers, so much so, in fact, that it feels like they prioritize quantity of patients over quality of care. Every appointment generates a flurry of texts, emails, and phone calls, just to make sure you don't forget your appointment. They frequently try to move appointments to fill up gaps in their schedule. I once accepted such a move, but then I had to wait for an hour after my appointed time before they could see me. If you are so insistent that your patients are on time, you can't afford to be late yourself! On several occasions, it took the dentist less than a minute to examine my teeth. I have been seeing Dr. Lin since 2008. The service has always been great and professional. Unlike some of the dentists who tend to "up sell" the treatments by creating fear, Dr. Lin recommends treatment only if he thinks it's necessary. One time I had a dental emergency, Dr. Lin was able to have one of his employees to help me on a Sunday. I was ready to call in sick on Monday. But this made me appreciate him and his staff more. It took 6 visits for one simple case. My dentist in my country can do this in one hour. They convinced me to put a crown and I deeply regret that I agreed. Root canal needed to be done in another clinic. They did X-Ray at least 3-4 times! Temporary filling came off literally the same day! When I came to the Kifer Park Dental again I didn't want to put a crown and was concerned about covid-19 lockdown, I was told they would not close. They closed two days later. I called them and the receptionist didn't give a f*ck at all. She told me a manager would call me back to resolve the situation and this never happened. The temporary crown came off the next day. They called me three weeks later to put a permanent one and it did not fit. I was told they would need to make a new one. They put another temporary crown and it came off the same day. Two months later they called me again for another try. It didn't fit as well so they had to adjust it, but still it feels much bigger than my tooth was and it's so sensitive so I can't eat. Gonna have it replaced of my dentist, because I don't trust Kifer Park Dental any more and don't even want to bother asking them to fix it. I paid more than $1000 out of my pocket (the rest is covered by my insurance) for such bad work I am absolutely unsatisfied with and which I gonna re-do again in another clinic. Staff and assistants are supper nice and helpful. From the moment that I called in to make the appointment to the moment that we left the office after my kids were seen. The office is clean and kid friendly (iPad with games/movies/activities) and the dentist was so attentive to my 3 year old, 9 year old niece, and 16 year old nephew. She walked each one of them step by step through the process and was so sweet to them all. She definitely went above and beyond to make each one feel good about their oral hygiene at every age. She even gave my husband and I tips on how to help brush the younger ones teeth and even how to make a game out of it so that its fun for him. I've been there once. When I came in, the office lady gave me a number of the copay for the treatment I was receiving that day. But when the treatment was done, the copay was quite different and much higher than the initial number. I feel the billing process is quite opaque and I was being fooled. Doctors are good. I've been there 4 times these years. At the beginning, Dr Liu was good and I got a bag of gifts when I left. Last week I made an appointment. I told the receptionist any doctor is fine because I trust them. Today I went there again, the one who provided service for me was not able to do the examination, who I couldn't find any information on their website either. She cleaned my tooth. My husband and I will never schedule an appointment with Kifer Park Dental again. Scheduling was a complete nightmare. First, my husband and I requested appointments online, only to be scheduled appointments that weren't even remotely close to what we asked for. For example, I requested a morning appointment and was sent an email that *confirmed* an afternoon appointment (middle of the day). This confirmation automatically assumed that I could make an appointment that I never asked for. I understand that scheduling online may be a little tricky, but at least have the courtesy to give me a similar appointment as per my request, i.e. morning time. I decided to call KPD to schedule another appointment. The receptionist said she would call me back. I received a voicemail an hour later with the *confirmation* of another appointment I never made! I thought that I would at least get some customer service through telephone, yet again KPD seems to know my calendar better than me! I have since made other arrangements with another dental office. The receptionist took the time to talk to me and ask me questions. As a teacher, my time is very limited and I do not have free time in the middle of the day. It is crucial that I make appointments outside of teaching hours. My new dental office completely understood and the receptionist took her time to help me book an appointment. As of yesterday, I received another email from KPD *confirming* yet another appointment. I am not sure if this is KPD's idea of customer service, or just a desperate attempt to keep their customers from seeking better service elsewhere. I am writing this review about how they took care of my mom, not for myself. We took our paralyzed Mom here for her routine dental care. She had a stroke and cannot do much on her own. Every other dental office wouldn't even want to deal with a disabled woman, but Dr. Lin was very accommodating and was super patient with her and our special physical requests. Another great thing - my mom doesn't have dental insurance so she pays cash. Rather than ream her, they billed her the lowest negotiated rate for all the dental plans. I cannot say enough nice things about Dr. Lin. I agree with the previous review that he is exactly what a dentist should be. I'd had a couple of really traumatic dental visits from a terrible, mean hygienist who loved to yell at me, and those experiences left me so upset that I put off another dentist visit for 3+ years. When my gums were finally bleeding so much that I could no longer ignore it, I made an appt. with Dr. Lin based on an excellent recommendation from my coworker. Right from the start Dr. Lin was extremely kind and reassuring, and talked to me about my fears, and assured me that no dentist should ever treat a patient the way I was treated. Still, I was so freaked out and shaky that he decided to give me a scrip for Valium and reschedule me for a deep cleaning the following week. After several Valium I was still pretty nervous, but Dr. Lin made it a point to tell me everything he was doing, and to tell me if it hurt so he could stop. He used a special tool to dispense numbing agents under the gum line to ease the discomfort, which meant no shots, yay! During the deep cleaning a couple of times I really flinched, and he immediately apologized and added more numbing gel. I really got the feeling he wanted to make the experience as easy as possible for me, and he definitely succeeded. Thank you Dr. Lin for helping me overcome my fear of the dentist's chair! read more

I came here for the first time last month. I was looking for a new dentist office where I felt like there were no communication barriers (which was the issue with my last office). I'm glad to find an office where I feel like everyone I need to talk to speaks english very well. Dr Stanley Lin was booked for three weeks before I could go to my appt. They have other dentists there, but since i kept hearing such positive thinkgs about Dr Lin on yelp I decided to wait for him. The receptionist was very pleasant both on the phone and in person. She is definitely a huge plus to my visit here. On the day for my appt I was the only person there, so I did get a lot of attention which was nice. On busier days I'll have to update this review to see how they are running with more patients in the office. Dr Lin did all the work on me, but again I was the only patient there so I'm not sure if that is the regular around here. I had some concerns about tooth sensitivity that comes and goes and Dr Lin thoroughly addressed them. Having a dentist that understands english well is very important for reasons just like this, when its difficult to describe a sensation. I felt confident he knew what I was talking about and I'm glad to know that it was a temporary issue and nothing to worry about. There are two types of Xray machines which is a little more time consuming. The first is kinda cool though because there is a huge TV screen infront of you so you can actually see your Xray (well at least I think thats cool). They don't give toothbrushes and floss though.
