Ok we are going to break this up. Let's start with the spring rolls. They were nice and crunchy but extremely mushy on the inside. The Ramen was bland and parts were cold like the egg and meat. Not much flavor. Lacking in flavor town. My wife and son didn't even finish there rame. The service was decent.the waitress checked on us and made sure our drinks were full. The restaurant was ok. Seats were held together with tape. Floor dirty but I have seen worse. Honestly I am here to try the food And let you know what I think. The Ramen was ok. Over all I would say ok. When me and my boyfriend came here for dinner, we ordered Takoyaki and two bowls of ramen. The Takoyaki came out first and it tasted delicious. There was a good amount of toppings on it. However, that would be the only good experience we have here. I ordered Tan Tan Ramen (a broth-less ramen) and my boyfriend got the Kikko Special Ramen. They had put broth on my noodles and I asked them if they got the order right. They said yes. The Tan Tan noodles were salty as hell. It tasted as if I got a spoon full of ocean water. I couldn't finish my meal. The meat was just overcooked ground pork. My boyfriend's bowl was pretty bland. I could still taste the salt, unless that was just the aftermath of my bowl. We both liked the service. Waitress was very attentive. Food was good for my friend. He ordered Curry Ramen not spicy. It was odd to me to hear curry ramen was spicy. Curry is a type of spice. But never spicy in Japanese cuisine. Somehow, I wanted to try "spicy" Curry Ramen and I chose chicken. The ramen noodles were cooked to perfection. But the broth was not so good to my usual taste buds. The toasted chili oil killed the savory curry flavor. I suddenly smell rancid from somewhere. Not if it was the oil or the table. Things I tried -DIY POKÉ BOWL 4.5/5 - got a large bowl with choice of 3 protein for $15. variety of sauces and sides were also offered and included in the price which is an amazing deal! I will say I think they could have given me more protein (maybe im a glutton haha). The bowl was filled with 3/4 of the bowl rice with so much sauce (either love or hate). I enjoyed it because of the flavor and variety of textures when taking a bite. Also to mention I did not finish my food because it is pretty big. Takoyaki- 4/5 Very squishy doughy, complimented sauce and they gave ALOT of sauce. Kimchi fries- 5/5 YOU MUST GET THIS IF YOU LIKE SAUCE. Honestly for Beaumont, I was pleasantly surprised with the ramen. The broth was very flavorful, the egg was very good as well. The pork was nice, but could have used some more time in the marinade and could be sliced a bit thinner. The noodles were noodles, nothing all together special. I'll say I was impressed based on the location, there were only two tables with anyone at them, which is a little surprising, I guess ramen isn't in high demand there. read more

Kikko was okay. When I walked in it felt incredibly musty. I ordered a poke bowl to go and they were super slow to make it. Turned out they were out of cucumbers and instead of telling me they just stood there. I asked if there was something wrong and that's when they told me they ran out of cucumbers. I asked if it was okay to substitute with more edamame and they said it would work. I also asked for light wasabi so they gave me wasabi in the side and forgot to give it to me. We rarely order from this restaurant because of the cost, but their quality is excellent and worth the money. Additionally, we ordered a meal including two boba teas and had it delivered. When it arrived, through our own fault, the teas got spilled as soon as we got them in the door. I called the restaurant and asked if we could get new ones, offering to pay for them because they're close to $6 per drink. I was told no, just come to the store and get new ones. I did that, got new teas, no hassle and nothing but help and good service. I got home, being much more careful with my new teas. It's a small thing perhaps, but many businesses would not be this helpful and understanding. They aren't obligated to be. Because if that, in my opinion they deserve your business. read more

The food was okay, although I could have bought a package of pork ramen from Walmart, boiled an egg and added a bunch of stuff to it for less than half the cost of what it was at this place and the quality would have been about the same. The real down fall was the service. When I walked in and was seated, it took 10 minutes for the waiter to come over and take my order. I ordered my soup and drink all at once and he didn't even offer to take my drink order. After about 10 minutes (to make a bowl of soup) he brought it out to me and I had to ask for my drink. I ate my "okay" soup and finished my drink. It took 15 minutes for me to be able to flag my waiter down to ask for a refill. He finally got it. After another 10 minutes, I was clearly finished with my meal and in need of another drink refill. The staff was roaming around and after about 5 attempts of flagging someone down and another 15 minutes, my waiter finally came back to my table and pointed at me and said "check?". I responded with "yes and another refill please." He grabbed my glass and brought it back with my check. I immediately took my card out to pay, but alas, he was gone again. It was another 10 minutes before he finally came back and I had to forcibly hand him my check. He brought it back and I signed it and left him a tip because I'm not a complete jerk. read more

Great food and service. Crab puffs are amazing!! Shrimp teriyaki is my favorite but my husband has had a few other items and always enjoys them as well. We always end up with more food than we can finish. Even have chicken nuggets for those picky kids or can request just noodles and broth. read more

Every meal I've had at Kikko's has been great! I have had the Takayaki Balls, shrimp balls, ramen and yaki udon, just to name a few. They were all excellent and I have had each of them several times. I strongly recommend this restaurant. You can't go wrong here. read more

Not that bad honestly. I get the tonkotsu ramen, and the broth is surprisingly adequte--much better than Koko in Port Arthur. The chashu and egg suchs and both aren't seasoned properly and overcooked, but I can't really expect great ramen from a place like Beaumont. Noodles were also surprisingly adequate, but the menma wasnt that good. Gyoza was alright, not the best but worth it if you like gyoza. All of the regular entrees like teriyaki chicken were pretty good according to my family and the little bit of it that I tried, although the portions on the teriyaki chicken is hilariously small for the price, and nothing to write home about. If you're reading this Kikko, revamp your egg and chashu-making process, braise and brine them properly and don't overcook it and you'll have a much better bowl. Chashu is my favorite thing in ramen, sadly it's done horribly like 80% of the time. read more

Great food. Have been a total of 3 times since their opening. Also, have ordered to go with zero issues. We have tried the ramen, poke and the udon noodles. All were fantastic! The edamame and crab puffs are a delicious appetizer. First time we went service was a little slow, but not bad (it was opening day and was crazy busy). This place is lovely. They are extremely accomodating, customizing poke bowl orders down to the tiniest detail. I've come in several times over the past three weeks, and now I walk in, and they ask if I want... MY EXACT ORDER FROM LAST TIME!!! I've really enjoyed having a ramen place in Beaumont since there is nothing else like that here. I normally get the spicy miso ramen and it's always good but sometimes some of the toppings are missing. The atmosphere is kinda weird here. This place's food is so delicious. I put brown rice, spicy salmon, spicy tuna, crab (lots of it), pineapple, mango, cucumber, and the spring mix in my poke bowl with the creamy white sauce. Worst customer service. I walked in on a Saturday evening. Three customers and two waitresses inside. stood there about 3-4 minutes watching the waitresses shoot rubber bands at each other before I spoke up to break up their play session and be seated. After being seated I started the stopwatch on my phone and it was 8 more minutes of watching the waitresses do absolutely nothing before one of them came to my table to take my order. I ordered a poke bowl and 18 minutes later the same waitress comes to my table to explain that they are running behind and it would probably be another 10 minutes before my bowl would be ready. Let me remind you that there were only THREE customers. 36 minutes may not seem like a long time to wait for food but let me remind you that a poke bowl is a bowl of rice topped with various toppings. Should take about a minute to make. It's not like they were cooking a 10 course meal for me.
