Absolutely delicious hibachi! Highly recommend place! The staff and service were nice, we made reservations beforehand. One thing I didn't like about is you need to share with others if your party size is small. We ordered basically everything filet mignon, scallops, sirloin steak, lobster tails, shrimps and sashimi combo on the side. Really liked the ambiance for celebrations and the performance was great! :) I would 100% visit again!

Honestly I can't complain the food was super great but tell me how they didn't acknowledge our presence and also they decided to tell us the kitchen is closed and hour and 40 mins before closing time as we are eating asking us to leave AND ALSO they followed me and asked me for a 15% tip and that the 10% tip wasn't enough for just two " we didn't do the hibachi"

    Vanilla ice cream

PROS: the food was amazing and priced well with a strong variety on the menu. The staff is nice, they take reservations, loads of parking, and the best atmosphere of any hibachi restaurant CONS: believe it or not the only con I ran into was the dessert. They only have ice cream and they only give you one scoop OVERALL: 100% would come back here and I highly recommend you to come here too

The table in front of us got a chef within 20 minutes after we waited for an hour and a half. Do not come here

Absolutely awful service. We sat here with a 2 year old child and a toddler for an hour and a half with a hot grill and no service. The manager and waitstaff treated our party terribly. Do not come to this establishment, specifically if you are a person of color

Our empty grill after we've been sitting here for an hour and 15 minutes

I asked if my takeout order was ready and was told it would be "a few more minutes." After waiting approximately 15 minutes, I checked again and was given the same response. During that time, numerous dine-in customers continued to be seated, and several other customers were also waiting for takeout orders. About 10 minutes later, I asked for another update. The employee attempted to explain the timing on my receipt, but I pointed out that the estimated pickup time had already passed and that I was simply looking for an accurate status update. She went to the kitchen to check and returned with the receipt again, at which point it became clear that my order had not even been started. After waiting nearly an hour from the time I placed my order, I asked for it to be canceled and left. Unfortunately, this is not the first time this has happened when I've ordered takeout from this restaurant. I completely understand that restaurants get busy, especially during peak dinner hours, but if the kitchen cannot keep up with both dine-in and online orders, it would be much better to temporarily disable online ordering until the backlog is under control. Other nearby restaurants, such as Okinami, do exactly that to avoid long waits and frustrated customers. The food has always been decent, but it is simply not worth waiting almost an hour for a takeout order--especially when the order hadn't even been started and I was repeatedly told it would only be "a few more minutes." I would much rather be given an honest estimate upfront than continue waiting without any meaningful update. Better communication and better management of online orders would go a long way toward improving the customer experience.

Maybe this place can be thought of as a mini DOMODOMO specializing in katsu (fried pork). The food is definitely DOMODOMO quality. And sushi was also delicious and you could taste the freshness of the fish. They have a weekday lunch special but lunch portions were a bit small. Ambiance felt a little more upscale than a standard Japanese place, but not pretentious. Service was very good - waiters were very attentive. We'll be back. Just a side note for those who don't like raw fish: they have options with cooked meat like shrimp tempura and fried chicken. I chose brown rice, spicy tuna, smoked salmon, mango, pineapple, tamago, seaweed salad, pickled ginger, red onion, nori, candied walnuts, and cashews. Their menu offers your Japanese classics - regular sushi rolls, special sushi rolls, sashimi, bento boxes, udon, salads, soups, tempura, etc. I highly recommend their lunch and dinner specials - it's the best bang for your buck! Everything is reasonably priced and you'll get your money's worth. The full menu is available on their website. You have to call to place your order and then pick it up. You pay once you're there. I don't think they use third-party services anymore like Uber or DoorDash. I've been ordering their lunch special (3 rolls for ~$16 with complimentary soup or salad) and I'm always satisfied. My food takes around 15-20 minutes to be ready, which is very reasonable. I haven't had any issues with the service here. They are efficient, pleasant, and always get my order right. My favorite rolls are the spicy salmon, spicy tuna, and eel & avocado. The fish to rice ratio is perfect. They pack your rolls with a huge portion of fish. The rice is well seasoned with vinegar, sugar, and salt. The tuna and salmon are incredibly fresh and they're actually spicy!!! They even include a few complimentary pieces of deep fried California rolls. This is one of my go-to spots for a satisfying and filling sushi meal. And you cannot beat the price and value!

The only issue was that it's a little awkward being the only table in the restaurant and sitting at the sushi bar... Cause we had like eight people attending us and looking at us and listening to our every word. But you can look at it in another way and assume it felt like more of a private dining experience, which is cool. Because it was our first time there, we didn't wanna opt for the Omakase because my husband and I have had mediocre Omakase experiences and they don't come cheap. And something we didn't realize that this place does, that many other Omakase places don't do, is make their sauces in house to pair with the fish. A lot of omakase spots locally don't care to make a budget for sauces when they can get it ready made. A huge unique selling point of this place was at each sauce was separately made and stored in different containers to pair with the fish it was intended for... And when the chef had mentioned that a lot of Omakase places don't do this, It made a lot of sense. We ordered the Hamachi Jalapeño, tuna Crispy rice, tuna 5 ways, single nigiri pieces of sea bream and mackerel on my side and my husband ordered more basic pieces which I can't recall. We also Ordered the Hokkaido scallop cucumber roll. As soon as we tried the apps, we regretted not doing the omakase just because we knew it was gonna be that good. For Context, I haven't found any place in New Jersey that felt like a go to sushi spot that had high-quality fish, incredible pairings and seemingly consistent. The Hamachi jalapeño were bigger cuts of tuna with like this jalapeño paste sauce. It was amazing and proper spicy. No addtl sauce needed. The crispy rice tuna was insane. The hot rice paired with the cold tuna and their fixings were amazing. It didn't look like much, but it packed a huge punch of flavor. I think it might be the wasabi they use But both the wasabi and soy sauce were insanely good The tuna way of our little attempt at omakase ish. They gave you four pieces of Nigiri ( 2 being fatty tuna pieces) And a chopped tuna hand roll. I'm a texture person so I wasn't a fan of the hand, but each piece of tuna was better than the next. The fatty ones were insanely melty and lovely And I just really goes to show that I don't think I've had good high quality, fresh sushi or fish from many places Because no place matched up to this. I had ordered a piece of sea bream which was insanely good. I've never tried anything like that before and if I could, I would order 20 of those alone. The mackerel was really good and not fishy at all as well. The Hokkaido scallop Cucumber roll was very simple, but packed a huge bunch of flavor when you dipped it in the spicy sauce that it was paired with alongside a soy sauce wasabi combo. You could taste the quality and freshness. I was drinking a glass of sparkling wine... The wine was fine before I had the sushi... But drinking a sip while eating my sushi totally changed my palette as the sparkling wine paired so well that it became sweet. Last, but not least the miso cheesecake - Absolutely incredible and made in house. We ordered two more to go And they thought we were joking. That's how good it was. I don't miss New York City when I have sushi from places like this.
