Birdie putt, yes I made it.

I'm genuinely excited about this little cubic zirconia in the rough that is Kiley Ranch. With the right investment, there's a ton of upside--but I'm sure the price will rise as more people discover it. Just like we hadn't heard of it until recently, I imagine plenty of others are still unaware of the hidden gem tucked away here. At just $17 to walk (for those of us in the 52+ club), it was a fun, breezy round--just over an hour for us. That said, I could easily see it taking 1.5 to 2 hours depending on who you get behind. We walked right onto the first tee, but by the time we came off 9, there was a little backup--including a group of enthusiastic 8- to 10-year-olds just starting out. (Not that that's a bad thing--everyone's got to start somewhere, but bring snacks if you're behind them.) The greens were some of the slowest I've ever played, possibly slower than the fairways at Oakmont--but they were consistently slow and actually in decent shape. I told Tricia, "We have to be goldfish when we leave here"--as in, forget everything we just learned about putting speeds before heading back to Sierra Sage.

9 hole Par 3 course in Sparks, NV. Needs new ownership, HOA assistance, and some money to repair. It's probably the worst golf course I've ever played. You're practically playing dirt ball. For $20 I've played a lot nicer courses. This course should be half of what they charge until they actually fix the resounding issues. Tee boxes are absolutely destroyed and the fairways are thin because of all the dirt and dead grass that is unplayable.

A fun little 9 hole course that needs some TLC. It's under new management so I hope they can improve the course. Still, it's been a while and there are many dead spots, bunkers that are flooded or like concrete, and the ball washers are usually dry. I'll keep coming here because it is close to me, but I hope the conditions improve. $20 is frankly more than the course is worth.

Beautiful patio seating with a view!

    Is there a driving range?

We do not have a driving range. The course is a 9 hole par 3, we have a pitching net and practice green.

Nothing is going to sound better than an ice cold beer and a burger. If you didn't have the chance to pack a lunch because you were rushing out the door to make your tee time, you're in luck. There is an oasis at the clubhouse. The Bogey's Bar and Grill. This grill has about exactly what you would expect at a small golf course food stand, burgers, hot dogs, and sandwiches. When ordering our food we had a problem with the bartender/cook who seemed very put out when four people walked in to get some food. Her attitude initially was so bad that some members of our group opted out of eating all together. Not being able to take it after the 3rd member of our group had ordered something, I called her out. I had to. I told her that her attitude was off-putting and that if she didn't want to do her job then we would just go somewhere else. After being called out, the bartender gave us a very sincere apology. She made our food and served us drinks with a whole new demeanor. She became pleasant in a sense. There were a few great things about this bar and grill. The other patrons (there was only 2) of this place were an absolute blast to be around. everybody was talking, having a good time, and enjoying good cold beers. The atmosphere in the bar was overall a pretty fun time.

If Rodney Dangerfield walked in at any moment he wouldn't have seemed out of place. The drinks are cheap, beer is cold and the service is wonderful. It makes me feel comfortable to be myself even if I don't have a the latest Garmin approach GPS golf watch or any other expensive apparatus or apparel in my tool kit. It's ok, it feels like your grandpa's golf bar and I find it refreshing. They had ice cold Rolling Rock beer on draft for $2 a pint while I was there and we took advantage. The hamburgers from the snack counter on the flipside of the bar are absolutely delicious as well. The pair with French fries or potato chips are exactly what you need after playing a hot weather game of golf. Disclaimer- I learned to golf as a preteen at Wild Creek golf course and I love the fact that the interior of the building looks exactly as it did in the 1980s.

To say I was blown away is an understatement. It's still got the quintessential CnC charm and humor, but amped up to 10 with lifesize displays, larger murals, more merch and those vibes we all love about this place! The bar area got a massive plus up in Sparks, with a full cocktail program, craft beers, and lots of delightful NA options too. The plush blue chairs look super inviting, and I can just imagine the fun times spent here hanging into the evening. Baristas are super friendly and the menu features all the faves from Reno, and then some! Here's the rub. It's hidden in a quiet corner of the best shopping center in all of Sparks. You've got CnC, Mountain Mike's, Smashin' Good Times, Paleteria del Angel, and Shang Hai restaurant all in the same spot, and you can have one helluva day just bouncing from one to the other. I sure hope my friends will find their way here to check it out for yourselves. They have awesome events and programs too, so scope the socials for the schedule and make a plan!

I came here to rock out and found myself enjoying a pulled pork sandwhich with a lavender soda which isn't very punk rock but the fuel definitely helped!
