Enter George and  Diamond Irrigation & Backflow in Austin.  I sought out George specifically because he is a licensed Backflow Prevention Assembly Tester (BPAT), licensed by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) and registered with Austin Water Utility.  George responded quickly, he and his crew were onsite in less than 24 hours, and everything was competently replaced.  George even checked the remainder of the system and proactively replaced sprinkler heads and gave me a heads up about a station I needed to keep an eye on.  I really appreciated the consultative service and the price was fair and reasonable.

We told our warranty company to proceed with the claim. 3 days later they called and said it would cost $780.00. After going back and forth, we gave up and placed the order. They were supposed to install on Monday...surprise, surprise, this nasty woman called and said that now it was going to cost $830! My husband asked her why it increased again and she got nasty and said she deals with dummies like him every day and that he needed to do the math! Nice! Lady answered and started calling me "Darlin" and "Honey." I told her I had left voicemails and she said, "I don't really use that voicemail stuff. Some people like it, but not me. I don't like texts either." She said she was not sitting at a computer so she could not look up schedules to book an appointment for me. (Who do they have working at this company?) She says she will call me back in a few hours.... No phone call. I had to call warranty co back and request a wholly new plumbing service provider. I would NOT recommend JR Plumbing. I call this company because over the years my sprinkler heads have been broken and replaced by yard…read moreguys with wrong heads and the system needed set for coverage. The owner, Joe tells me there will be charging $75.00 to estimated assess what needs to be done. He was here 20 minutes. a few weeks later he sent someone else to do the work and that was fine but the other guy left a 3 inch wide and 6 inch deep ring around each sprinkler where there should have been dirt to enclose and support the sprinkler. I called them back and the guy asked me if I had any dirt. I pointed to a pile I had just dug out of the front bed of my house. He threw this around the sprinklers, burying them completely. That's not the worst part. He did not bother to take out the baseball size rock, foot long bent rusty metal hanger or any other garbage in the pile of dirt. he just piled it all up and on top of my sprinklers. looked like crap. when I called the owner, Joe, he came to have a look. He asked ME where the original dirt that his guy dug from around the sprinklers was when he replaced them. I told him I had no idea. Then he asked me why I was not more specific with his guy about what dirt to use. I told him I did not think It was my job to micro manage his employees and they should have sense enough to know not to pile debris on top of new sprinklers. Joe was rude, short and indignant. He told me in a very condescending tone that he would have done it the same way and acting like there was something wrong with me for expecting his guy to have NOT used only the CLEAN part of the dirt to place around the sprinklers. After $400.00 to replace like 4 sprinkler heads and a promise of after service if the coverage was not correct, I can't get them back out here. How's that for service? Not so great.

March 17 had unexpected shower facet leak in the MB. Had to work, but requested Plumber Service via…read moreYelp. BFP responded was planning about 300.00. 2 Plumber Techs were sent for a 1 person job. Moen shower cartridge and rubber washers failed. Retail cost of part 70 dollars. Took a Phillips screwdriver, cartridge puller to replace the part in less than 45 minutes. Total cost 565.00 which was shocking price. Asked for breakdown of cost, techs not able to provide. Called office the next morning, spoke with Tara and asked to talk with customer manager. Was told person on vacation but she would have the owner or herself call me back to discuss the chargers. No one ever called back. Called the BFP again on 3/23 requesting to talk to service Mgr, as no phone call returned last week, still no one return the call. This company over charges with hidden cost and refuse to provide true breakdown of charges. Would not recommend. There is another review reporting the excessive price to change this same part.
