Alright folks... I see some negative reviews here that seem to be related to their recent transition in ownership (previously Automax). For what it's worth, the team was absolutely stellar for me to work with. I think anyone deserves some benefit of the doubt when settling in as a new business. Times are crazy (COVID, chip shortage, inflation, Ukraine)... and shopping for me over the last 2 weeks has been a nightmare. I usually don't like doing deals same-day, but the lovely team here at Killeen really just made it that easy to do business with them. Ask for Tony on the sales floor. Know the names Tyler (Tylor?) and Nikki (a couple of the financing specialists who were as honest and transparent as possible). Then Craig, the GM. If you're looking for great service and communication, take your car here. Just don't work with Pete. I've brought my truck and my wife's SUV here for regular maintenance several times and had no issues before. However, I had never dealt with Pete, before. He'll tell you that he'll call you with updates and never does. I brought my truck in for an oil change, a recall, and to diagnose/repair my rear brake assist warnings. They kept it for 9 days and I had to call for updates every other day. Pete never reached out. Well, maybe once. It was always, the tech is diagnosing/can't upload the update/wifi issues/confusion. I rolled his crap uphill to Lennon, a Service Manager, who then took care of the issue within a few hours, and I picked it up that day. Please, avoid Pete. read more

Buyer Beware! Before test driving, we were told the vehicle was $33K. As soon as we were invited inside after the test drive, we were told that vehicle was $34K. They acted like this was a mistake and said, "they would check the online price." We said we would like to talk about purchasing and would not need their financing- that we would either pay cash or get our own financing. Terrance went and got someone who said he was a financing manager, even though we did not need financing. He said his name is Jaryl. He came out with a formal paper trying to get us to use their in house financing, though we had already declined this, and suddenly the truck was priced at $40K with all sorts of warranties that we did not need nor want. First Jaryl said that only 2 of these items could be taken off. I clearly said we wanted to pay cash but was not interested in any add- ons, we just were looking to purchase the truck. Jeryl would not clarify what items could and could not be taken off. They had asked us before about a trade-in and we said we would consider trading in our 2010 Dodge Ram IF the price was right. At this time I asked how long a quote would take and we were told just 15 minutes. They asked to take our truck keys but did not say or ask permission to drive our truck. 40 minutes later I was mad and ready to leave, when they finally came to us and said they would only offer $2750. Jeryl asked what I was thinking and I said with an offer that low I wouldn't debate trading in our truck at all and said we were on two separate ball fields. After Jeryl offered us just $2750 I said look, show us what it would cost us to pay cash for this truck tonight without any add-ons, without a trade- in with a cash payment. Jeryl disappeared again and came back in 5 minutes with a single sheet of paper with a new price on it. That price was a whopping $43,032.53. These two men claimed that that 1) they cannot show us any sort of formal paperwork because that is "not allowed" and 2) that tax, title, and licensing costs $10,032.53 Then they claimed "the current market" is to blame. (How did I get that figure? $43,032.53 - 33,000= $10,032.53) At this time our truck keys were with someone unknown and our truck had been driven, moved, and was now surrounded by other unoccupied vehicles. After leaving the dealership After leaving this location I did two quote searches at Kelly Blue book one for our truck per it's vin in good used condition, and a second search of the truck in very good used condition. I also noted that the dealership said our miles were 140,00 when our actual miles, after driving home said 128,920 miles. The first Kelly blue book search said that our truck in just "good" condition, should range from a trade-in range of $4,514- $6,751. In a search for our same truck in "very good" condition, a trade-in value should be $5,579- $7,946. I am glad that I turned down their truly un honest trade- in offer. Scamming, scheming and lying. Had texted with Stephanie about a Bronco and agreed to pricing. Made an appt to buy the car the next day, had money for a down payment, completed a financing form online and drove up from Austin for them to tell me the car WAS NOT THERE and had been loaned out (who loans out a band new car...no one). The car I had told them the day before I would drive up to buy was not there and I got no apologies and Stephanie wouldn't talk to me. They said they could still sell it to me which, as far as I know, it's not legal to sign paperwork on a car unless you know the mileage. As far as I can tell the online pricing is extremely reduced to draw you in and then it's a bait and switch and a bunch of lying before, during and after. Okay y'all, I have to say that I'm EXTREMELY impressed with the service department at this place. This was my first visit after trying the dealership closer to my house, but they were very very busy and couldn't get me in the same day. Let's start with Chandler on the service drive. She was very friendly and fell in love with my dog. She handed me off to Grant, who took great care of me. They got me right in and sent me the the customer lounge. Oh man, let me tell you about the customer lounge. It's by far the best around. Coffee, bottled water, soda fountain, snacks, and a movie theater with reclining movie seats! And clean...super clean service area from the drive to the lounge. While waiting there several other employees came over to pet my dog. I love how dog friendly they are. I also love the text updates that you get while waiting on your vehicle. They tell you when it's been pulled in, when the diagnostic has been completed and send you a list with pictures of recommended services. Mine had a dirty air filter. You can accept or decline any of the recommendations right there in the lounge. The cashiers were exceptionally friendly as well. I didn't catch the gentleman's name that cashed me out, but he was awesome. I 100% recommended this service department. read more

Internet shows a discount, but when you arrive they do not show add-ons already on vehicle (windshield, Apex, window tint, etc) that are not known and refuse to remove. They hide information such as trade in values for your auto. They give you a one total and do not "line item" each discount or add on. We had to ask 3 times to get them to cite the value they were giving on the vehicle we were trading in. They refused to show us the invoice price even though one of us worked for Ford as a suppler, which we knew that price should have been minus 4.5 percent off invoice. Tires were an issue because Ford recommends 33 psi and tire manufacturer recommends 40 psi MAX. Tires on transfer to us were 50, which meant we could have had a blow out on our way home. They also did not recognize one of us as a FIRST RESPONDER because "not on the list for sexual assault" even though this is recognized in Texas. This cost us a $500 reduction in price. read more

So I got a little upset, went to Johnson Brothers Ford in Temple, Tx. They were awesome. Anyone in Killeen, do not use Killeen Ford they only want your money and will not give you the best deal. Darren, Jeff and James at Johnson Brothers Ford, you guys were awesome. Killeen Ford gave me a rate of 15.9% and tried changing me an additional $3k on my lease buyout. Heads up!! This is a dealership that you want to avoid at all costs. You know that feeling in your stomach that makes you want to throw up when you think about car dealers? Believe it or not, this dealership even makes that feeling worse. In the market for a used 2022 Ford Edge. They have the vehicle, I was interested in, but the listed price is on the high end of NADA book. So I called and asked it they were interested in negotiating. Their first response was, "not without you coming to the dealership." Well, I wanted an idea of their openness before making the trek to Killeen. No go. They weren't interested. Or, so they said. However, since Monday, I have received no less than 6 calls from the dealership. Yesterday, they actually left a kind, business like message for me to call them back. I called back today to see what they wanted and if they were now willing to talk. The sales man was nice on the phone and said that he will discuss my offer with the GM. About two hours later, I get a text from him saying that the GM, "he will not miss your business over a couple of hundred dollars ..." I have purchased a lot of vehicles over my lifetime, but I have never received that response from a dealer. I also called the district number to report this issue . Then a phone call after the fact to call me a liar and berate me for unhappy that I had to cancel physical therapy appointments multiple times due to car pooling issues over 12 days without my car. Apparently if you are unhappy with calling multiple times for 30 mins plus with no answer to them have to drive out there and be told random crap like your car is being diagnosed still when the 1 and only phone call I got was the day before saying it had been diagnosed and the part would be in EOD or tomorrow and then the next day the car is back to being diagnosed. I went to the dealership to look at a vehicle advertised for under $27 K. I was informed that the internet price was only valid if I used their financing. I still can't find this listed on their web site. Long story short the salesperson talked to the "Sales Manager and came back with an offer of $35k after taxes and a paid off trade in. Needless to say I said no and asked for my keys. The salesperson left to get my keys but returned with a counter offer of $30k (A $5K difference but still very high.) At this point I instructed the salesperson to retrieve my keys or I would go get them, she complied. I feel sorry for the salesperson as she was young and obviously not aware of how sleezy their process is. On the way to my car, I contacted another dealer I had visited earlier and told them I would be by the next day to pick up the car I was looking at. The car I purchased was advertised for $26k and after tax, title and trade of the same car I offered Killeen ford my out the door price was $23929.00. Moral of the story is you don't have to deal with shady dealers that add on addendums to raise the price of advertised vehicles. Why? My DIL is shopping for an explorer. We drove your lot yesterday. She test drove one to see if that was the vehicle she wanted. Went home and decided, yes-it is. Was prepared to buy one yesterday. Called and talked to an "Ashley ", who set up a 1:45 appt to come drive 2 that she confirmed were on your lot. She got to your dealership and went to Killeen Ford, where she was told to meet a salesman. When she got there, she was given the run around, was told to go to Certified and went there. When she got there, she was told to go back to the Ford house. Finally got to work with one who salesman who told her those were not in the lot and must have both been sold in the last few days. (Lie most likely). Salesman attempted to find her a vehicle but in the end she ended up leaving with a bad taste in her mouth. Had an appointment for 9am. They kept it for 6 to 7 hours before letting me know they test drove it and did not find anything wrong. When I asked why it took so long, they said the appointments don't really mean anything. They said it typically takes 6 to 7 hours to get to a vehicle. I don't normally give bad reviews for anyone because I have worked in a service industry and understand the difficulties of that industry. That being said, this is by far the worst Ford service department I have ever dealt with. My truck was there for a month to have some fairly major engine work done to it and when I finally went to pick it up when they opened I sat around for almost 2 hours waiting for paperwork... strike 1. After I finally got in my truck I got a couple miles down the road and it started misfiring so I took it straight back where I waited 45 minutes for them to get it back into the service shop for them to look at it.... Strike 2. They then told me that the spark plug was fouled and that I should have all 6 of them replaced at $440 dollars...strike 3 because they said they recommended it when they called me about the previous work I had done, which they didn't. I checked all the texts they sent me with line items of work that needs to be done and spark plugs were nowhere in there. Also, the spark plugs for my truck are $45 for all of them from autozone (which is more than the dealership pays for them) and should take and experienced tech 45 minutes at most to replace. They were going to basically charge me $400 for 45 minutes of labor. On top of all that I had 3 different service advisors over the time my truck was in there so all the stuff I had talked to one about I had to explain to the other every time I get a text. I say text because they have a texting system to communicate with their customers, which sounds nice but is absolutely terrible. Every time I called the dealership to talk to an advisor all I got from the front desk was that they would leave them a note to call me back... which they didn't... they texted. In addition to all this I've now been here all day waiting for my truck that I was told was ready and from being here all day I have had the opportunity to watch how this center operates. The front desk reception ladies seem like they could care less about your issues. The service advisors seem to be laughing and not really caring about the fact that every single person who has been in here today has been furious because the service has been absolutely terrible. read more

I guess because I am older they think they can treat me anyway. My car has been there 3 days for just my a/c blowing hot air. If you purchase from this dealership, read over the information carefully! I ordered a 2021 Bronco from Keith in the summer of 2021. Because Bronco production was slow, my reservation was pushed to 2022. I made the necessary edits to my order, which was pushed through. Keith communicated well and did a pretty good job overall. Unfortunately, he works for a sales manager and dealership that is greedy and dishonest. I received notification that my Bronco was being delivered in mid-July 2022. Mind you; I'd waited over a year for my order. Because I was paying cash, I asked Keith to send me the final numbers on the Bronco so I could bring a cashier's check when I signed the papers. Immediately, I was told that Killeen Ford now automatically adds on items to "every" vehicle they sell. $1,899 - GPS Theft Protection $999 - Windshield Protection $999 - Tire and Wheel $699 - Paint and Interior Protection $699 - Paintless Dent Repair I immediately responded to the price sheet and asked for the items to be removed as I did not want them. I've purchased many new vehicles, and I've never been required to buy the scams. I then got an email from Craig Brown, the Sale Manager, stating that he'd revised the numbers but "typically the C-bond windshield protection and GPS are installed at the time of pre-delivery process." He'd removed everything but the APEX GPS because it's a "hard add and will be installed at said time." He follows that up with, "If I can't earn your business, I completely understand." Now, I've waited over a year for my Bronco, so to walk away because we can't make a deal isn't an option, and he knew it. He also would have loved for me to walk because he would have put my Bronco on his lot and sold it the same day for at least $20K more than MSRP as their previous Broncos sold on the lot were listed at $15-$20K over recommended value. On the day of signing, we show up, and of course, Craig is nowhere to be seen. I'd called out how greedy Killeen Ford was and how they, and other dealers, should be ashamed of taking advantage of consumers to make an extra buck. The finance person comes out, introduces himself, and calls us back for signing several minutes later. Because it's a cash deal, it should be simple, right? Wrong... Killeen Ford still needed to make some money off me since I was paying MSRP, AND APEX GPS, which was a scam. When I handed him the check, he acknowledged that the amount of the check didn't match his numbers. He then typed on his computer and told the guy he was training that he'd "fixed it, see?" I then asked what he'd changed to make the numbers match. He began to stutter and beat around the bush. I then found out through his lies that he'd changed the MSRP so that the taxes matched as the tax amount Craig told me was higher than it should have been. Rather than charging me the proper tax amount, he increased the MSRP so that the tax amount would match, and my check matched their system. While there was only a $10.86 difference, I was pissed that he'd move numbers around to make the extra $10.86 rather than refund the amount to me. I told him that since he's finance, his numbers are what should be accurate. I understand mistakes happen but to deliberately change numbers without me knowing is entirely unethical. After calling it out, he began to panic and make excuses. Ten minutes later, I finally got him to acknowledge his actions. I then told him that the numbers had to match and that if I owed more or less than what I should be paying, I expected that to match what the deal should have reflected. He finally asked his supervisor, and they'd have to cut a check and mail it with a refund. Whether it's Killeen Ford or another dealership, read EVERYTHING, and don't let them intimidate you into buying crap you don't want. While I shouldn't have paid for the APEX GPS junk, I wasn't going to give up the year I'd waited on my Bronco, and I damn sure wasn't going to allow Craig to make money off of my car because he's greedy and dishonest. I bought a 2018 Mustang from them a little over a year ago. I bought it with about 30,000 miles on it. Since owning I have put about 24,000 miles on it and my transmission blew. I don't drag race or do any sort of thing like that. I got a warranty so was hopeful my warranty would cover it. After taking my car into the shop, it was discovered the tire and rim size on my car aren't the recommended tire size or default size so my warranty won't pay for the repairs. At the time the car was sold to me, this wasn't disclosed to me. So I got a car with a bad transmission along with a car without the recommended tire and rim size & wasn't told this and it's not in any of my paperwork from the sale. We were told the warranty did not cover the true cost of an oil change and we would have to pay the difference. For an oil change they charged 105.00. Don't go to Killeen ford. Don't buy anything from them if they can't honor warranty's from Automax they purchased they don't deserve any military support or anyones support. I had an appointment for the third time. The first time the dealership canceled it without giving me a reason why. The second time they told me they could not login to the system. Today I had an appointment at 9:30 and it was done at 15:20. When I asked the service advisor around 11:30 when the car will be done, she told me that the mechanic recommend a break pads and rotors, the cost was $520. I told them not to do it. She told me that's fine and that the mechanic will wrapping it up. One hour later I asked again, if the car is done. She answered me with, yes it's done and outside, which it wasn't. I asked her again, and she told me there is another recall on it and the mechanic working on it now and it will take 30 minutes. I decided to leave and get some lunch. At 15:00 I got a phone call that my car is ready. I picked it up at 15:20 signed a lot of paperwork. So I went outside to get my car and the only positive thing was that it was clean. Thank you for the person who washed it. If they would told me that it takes all day, I wouldn't be so frustrate, and I could plan the day differently. read more

As Shady as they come. They had a new car listed on their website. They have a 'Get instant price' button where you give your contact info and they give you 'today's price'. That price was the MSRP which I was happy to pay. They called to see if I wanted to come test drive. I again confirmed the price on the phone before deciding to drive the hour+ from Austin. When I get there they marked it up to $69K and tacked on another $7K of bs add-ons. So the $61K I made the trip for became $75K. Wasted half a day.
