Got a takeout order Sunday night and ordered the bender and classic burger both with fries. Overall, both burgers were solid. The buns were nice and soft, the patty had great flavor and texture. The fries were very solid as well as they had a nice crisp texture outside and pillowy texture inside. The prices overall are not too bad for what you get. If they flavor was not on point, then I'd say the burgers would be a bit overpriced for the quality and quantity but this was not the case. read more

This location sucks. The cashier at lunch is basically Ms Trunchbull from Matilda. Grumpy, glares, and basically seems like she is in pain to take your order. I ordered a plain cheese burger and she charged me premium, and called it a "build your own burger" The lady looks like she's about to swing you by your hair for ordering from her and she's always here at lunch. I think she crawls out from her cave in the back for the shift. I'm sorry for ordering plain, I just don't like the taste of the bacon here. It has like a SW flavor to it. We walked in here yesterday hoping to enjoy a meal before we went to a concert. The lady at the counter was rude and seemed like she just wanted us to leave. After ordering and eating, we left to go to our concert and not even an hour later my stomach started turning and I felt the need to vomit. The nausea lasted late into the night, well past our concert (which I couldn't even enjoy) before I finally decided, after hours of pain, to take myself to the emergency room. I don't know if I got undercooked chicken, or if someone just didn't wash their hands before handling my food but I will never come back here. It's not worth the bad experience or the $700 medical bill. This place should be closed down. read more

Slow service at the counter and no sense of urgency displayed by anyone working. After watching it take more time than necessary to help the customer in line in front of me, the person taking the orders proceeded to disappear. I recently visited Beaverton, and decided to give Killer Burger a try. I figured, with a name like that, it had to be good. At the counter, I asked what was the most popular, the shift supervisor mentioned the Pretty Fun Guy, which I had been eyeing, along with the Meathead. She said, a lot of people don't like double patties. So, she sold me on the lesser option. (Don't give her a marketing job, btw.). The cashier rang it up. Didn't ask if I wanted fried or anything to go with it. I then ordered some chicken tenders. Surprisingly, it was a basket with fries. She asked what sauce I wanted, I said, the Special G. I also asked for some Honey Mustard, if which she didn't say it cost money, of which I was okay, but she should've mentioned it. After waiting, the cashier brought my to go order. I got back to my hotel, and discovered I didn't have "any" sauces. I called the restaurant. The person that answered the phone "sounded" apologetic. She asked for my order number to see what I bought. She said that I could come back to the store and pick up the sauces. I told her that wasn't going to happen. She then said she would refund my honey mustard. I said, okay, and thank you. Coincidentally, I got a survey in my email, before I finished my meal. I mentioned the same thing, above. About an hour later, I got a reply from the owner. He was apologetic and offered to refund the entire meal. I said it wasn't necessary. It was nice being heard. I wasn't going to leave a bad review, but, just for the principal of the person that said she would refund the honey mustard, it's been a week, and I got nothing, I give you 1 star. We love the food here. I switch my order among several choices, but my wife always gets the peanut butter pickle burger. Fries are excellent. They have some tasty soft drinks, including non-carbonated choices (my preference). Service is good, atmosphere is sports bar-ish. read more

The name doesn't lie. Definitely a Killer (great) Burger. Didn't think I'd like the peanut butter burger as much as I did.

This location features all the great KB selections and beers you can find at all locations. This particular place feels spacious and is a good fit for large parties. There are two (single) bathrooms so you won't have to almost have an accident because someone is taking too long. They are large front doors to welcome you in. There are several TVs showing sports and lots of windows to watch vegans scurry by carrying their H&M haul. The staff specialize in outstanding customer service and it shows by the number of regulars meandering in and out on any given day. One of the better KB in the Portland area and worth checking out. read more

This evening "we" decided that cooking was not on the menu so the other "we" had to figure out where we would be going to dinner. The kids said BJ's, however I quickly nixed that opinion. The only thing worth eating there are the Tri-Tip Nachos--unfortunately you need 3 or 4 people to eat the portion that they give you. My wife said she wanted a burger so I suggested Red Robin. I aggressively dislike their burgers, but their fish and chips are amazing. I thought that we had decided on AVB, which was ok by me, but she did not turn on to Brookwood Pky off of Cornell. so I just let it ride. We pulled into the Streets of Tanasbourne. There are many cool restaurants/shops but the parking is at a premium. Took a while to find a spot. Killer Burger was a cool little joint. Not too big but still not cramped, especially since the tables were spaced out due to COVID. I tried explaining to my son that the PB and jalapeño burger was the signature burger but he wasn't having it. My wife got the Bender, my son got the Kids burger with cheese and ketchup, my daughter got the grilled cheese (wasn't as hungry as the rest of us) and I decided on the MEATHEAD. Oddly it took my wife and son a couple bites before they realized that their orders were switched. I mentioned this to the bearded/masked manager? and he had no problem remaking the Bender since my son had already desecrated it with tomato ketchup. My Meathead was amazing. I modified it with raw onions. The flavors of the sauce, onions and beef blended perfectly together. I enjoyed every bite. My wife thought that the jalapeños were too spicy on her burger, but she ate the whole thing. There are a lot of (good) burger options in the area, but Killer Burger ranks up at the top, and $40 for a family of 4 is totally reasonable read more

I sincerely hate this place's entire schtick: It's every suburban Oregonian polo-shirted, sports-radio-listening golf dad's down-home franchising dream, and it's gross. Years ago, this monstrosity took over one of the loveliest places in Downtown Portland--the Morningstar Cafe--and turned it into a corrugated-steel, paper-towel-dispensing, PB-and-pickle nightmare for guys who turned bacon into their core personality trait in the mid-2000s. It somehow inspired a Rock and Roll knockoff on 2nd Avenue, which is even more dispiriting, but a trip to this outpost in Fake Village Mall 97124 against my will was the last straw. By this point, we're all familiar with the third-pound beef patty chain and how it works: If you're using decent beef and have come up with a beloved method of preparation, keep the accoutrements spare. If you're not so confident in the cow (or, in this case, impossible burger) and want to divert customers' attention elsewhere, overload it with sauces and toppings and hope for the best. In the western suburbs--where the sliding scale of chains takes you from Red Robin up to Burgerville to Five Guys to In and Out (just accepting that these aren't Five Star, Helvetia Tavern/Skyline, Mr. Bento, Bumper Burger or Wolf's Head customers)--Killer Burger could politely be considered Disgusting Fuddruckers. Knowing I can be swayed with a spicy burger, my host suggested the Bender: bacon, spicy BBQ, crispy jalapeño, house sauce, grilled onion and cheddar. This was an error. Killer Burger, on every burger, will always favor its sauces and went heavy on BBQ and "house sauce" (basically, a mix of condiments). If you're 11, eating a pile of slop is likely an amazing experience. As an adult who just wants a sandwich that does require nine napkins before you reach the meat of it, it was incredibly annoying. If you've seen the garish font and the overly aggressive name and thought to yourself "You know, the suburbs don't have THAT many options, why don't I just give this a chance?" Don't. Believe your eyes, trust your instincts and know that this place is built for out-of-town man children looking to have some "fun" with their per diems without trying anything that'll challenge their palate. Walk away... Killer Burger will stumble stupidly forward without you. read more

Came here tonight right before closing. Staff was still friendly and helpful. I have to say- I've been eating all KB from way back in the day at the original pdx location. as a Preface Have only had burgers from here through Take-Out or Delivery, so I can't necessarily speak to the service or location. Having said that the food is alright. They have various specialty burgers that are fun to pick from if you enjoy some variety. Their patties have a really nice char to them which does offer some textural change. I've seen other people make similar complaints about the bun, which does feel starchy; although I'm not sure if this is due to the Delivery/Take-Out. It is a little on the pricier side for just a burger and fries. There are definitely other locations with better burgers in my opinion, like WestGate. read more

We came here. Four of us, and we each ordered a burger, simple burgers and one peanut butter one. It took 45 minutes to get the burgers. It was absolutely insane to wait that long. They weren't even very busy. Not sure what the hold up was. Usually it's less than 10 minutes at a killer burger. Wouldn't recommend coming here unless you have all day to wait. Both burgers were very good, and we loved the French fries. The staff members were friendly and welcoming. The ambiance was chill but fun. Yay, limited dining in is a thing again! We were ready to try something a bit different than the standard burger fare and we were not disappointed. I had the bender. It was a will crafted combination of flavors on a study bun that held up through the eating process. The spicy bbq sauce on the burger was perfect. On the side for the fries? A bit over the top for me however taming it with 50:50 ketchup:spicy bbq sauce was great. The wife went for the fun guy and was very pleased with the combination of flavors. We both sat across from each other asking why didn't we try the peanut butter, pickle, bacon burger, perhaps next time. The fries were hot and crispy however to my taste there was something not quite right. I'm hard pressed to know exactly, perhaps some off seasoning or the oil they cook them in? Not bad however not my favorite by a bit. I asked what size the standard burger was (how much did it weigh?) As I'm not a fan of the huge burgers and our server didn't know. I looked through some of the earlier menu pics here and at one time they advertised 1/3 lb burgers which is probably what we had. It wasn't overwhelming. Service was attentive and quick. We had no problem getting a table right away. The place is clean, I hope the business continues to improve for them, we'd like to return again. Super disappointed. We had an illness going on and we are unable to make any dinner this evening. We called ahead and placed an order for to Meathead Burgers and Fries. They told us it be about a half an hour so we set our timer for a half an hour and then my husband left to pick up the burgers. Once there someone told him okay yours are on the grill right now you'll be 5 minutes. He waited there for 20 minutes then left and called me very upset. He was so upset that he refused to even speak to anybody there. So he left without any food or anything. I called and I don't know who I spoke to but he wasn't very sympathetic in my opinion. He tried to sound it but what made it inauthentic was he said "was this an order for Santos" and I said "yeah" and he says "ohhh, it's been sitting here for 15 minutes." That's a lie because my husband had left just maybe five minutes before I called. I'm not going to lie they have great burgers and I only got a chance to try them once and was looking forward to it but customer service is a big deal to me. I'd rather give my business to someone who would appreciate it and give me just as good food. It's their loss cuz we're Foodies and I'm a yelper. But it's pretty obvious they don't need my business. Always live up to their name! I've eaten at several of their locations, been a customer since they first opened on NE Sandy. They know how to make a juicy, sloppy, satisfying burger! The fries that accompany are crisp, the only way a fry should be serve, so this burger combo becomes two meals for me. Just no way to finish in one sitting. Recently I opted for the Peanut Butter Pickle. Yes, I know what you are thinking. Peanut butter in a burger? Yaaas! Now stay with me. Think about some of your favorite Thai meals like chicken satay with peanut sauce or Pad Thai or cold noodles in peanut sauce. You know how that peanut flavor combined with the protein and the sweet, sour, salty flavors all melds together into an incredible taste sensation? Well, that's what you experience with a Peanut Butter Pickle Burger! Try saying that fast a few times! In addition to the peanut butter which gets all melty and gooey, which is a good thing, the grilled onions, pickle and house sauce bring it all together. Delicious.We asked to omit onions on one ( neither seemed to have them but that is ok) and put sauces on the side ( the mayo and house sauce did arrive separately, they did not send ketchup). But today the kitchen staff must have not been feeling the music because they had there own music going so loud that it was hard to heard and give my order. Pretty slow service for it being a dead period. Zero confirmation for orders placed when communicated back to guest which leads to orders being incorrectly made. Team not engaged in table touches with guests nor checking in with Dashers that came through having them just wait idly by making it seem like they were being a pest. Would recommend retraining the staff on delivering better customer service rather then team members hiding behind the wall next to the fryer just gossiping with one another. Usually don't do this as it pains me to write this as a restaurant area manager myself but needs to be addressed to better the guest experience. read more

Always walked by this place when coming to shopping at The Streets but never stopped in here until last night! After reading everyone else's reviews, I felt like I had to get the PBPB (Peanut Butter Pickle Burger)! You might think it sounds strange and it is! (But in a good way!) It was the perfect balance between the slightly sweet Peanut Butter and the saltiness of the long sliced pickles! Personally I am not particularly in love with pickles in general but it really works in this burger! The fries were hot and crunchy and salted. The burgers were fresh and tasty! Oh and you have to get the Atlas Cherry and Pomegranate Hard Cider! It was like drinking alcoholic juice! So refreshing with a burger! Sure, you can go with your typical regular burger but I haven't seen a PB and Pickle burger until I came here! Def recommend! Oh and music was popping too! read more

This KB used to be good. They're always understaffed. Three maybe, sometimes four(rare) employees working at a time. The bathroom is horrid! I had to clean the toilet which was covered in urine with handsoap and paper towels myself; so that my wife and kids could use it, the weekend before Halloween '23! And they don't even fill up the extra sauces that they charge you for. Lucky the employees acknowledged that themselves, and filled them up for us when we brought it to their attention. Then last weekend, November 11 or 12th(?). We placed our order sat down, and noticed four and bust tables. And a bunch of other tables that look like they needed to be wiped down. They stayed like that the entire time as we waited for our orders, ate our food and left. I'm not blaming the employees, but I am holding accountable the manager. There are definitely not enough employees staffed at a time. I usually see one at the register at two in the back of the kitchen sometimes a fourth preparing to go orders. The actual employees are polite & courteous! They're absolutely all busy in the back. Just short hande. I know sometimes people call out. I also know corporate could be protecting their profits by understaffing. Regardless, it's at the cost of the customers experience! read more

I wanted to give 4 stars! I have been to KB for the last several years because I like their burgers and the location is convenient. The staff is friendly enough. Sometimes you have to talk over the music. The real problem is cleanliness. They rarely bus the tables. On at least 5+ visits the dinning area is filthy. The tables still have dirty trays, used food boxes and dirty napkins. The table surface is gross with food residue, spills and sticky stuff. It can be a turn off. I just end up cleaning off the tables so I can eat. It would be nice if this could get resolved. read more
