We typically love Kilwins. Went in today and one one of the young workers went from leaning on the counter using her phone, no hand washing or sanitizing, to scooping ice cream with her bare hands gliding across the ice cream. When I mentioned wearing gloves she ignored it. I looked past not wearing masks in a pandemic but that was a bit much so we literally threw it out. Very good coffee chip ice cream. Very pleasant service. No interior seating unfortunately. So you have to go outside in the 90° weather to watch your corn melt in your hands. Waffle cone was average. Nothing compares to the freshness of a Ben & Jerry's waffle cone which are made in the store. These were obviously shipped in. A little bit stale. Chocolate around the rim of the top of the waffle cone was too thick. Did not have chocolate sprinkles today. I rarely go out for ice cream but when I do I would expect someplace to have chocolate sprinkles on hand. That's very basic. Overall worth going to. A lot of nice things overall for people to enjoy such as candy coated apples and fresh fudge. read more

For some odd reason this one location refused to sell me half a slice of fudge and treated me rudely for even asking. Unfortunately at this Kilwin's location, you have to buy a pound of fudge to enjoy more than one flavor ( even though all flavors are the same price ). The GM runs the place like a dictatorship and refuses to try to accommodate any of their customer' needs. I've visited many Kilwins locations throughout Fl and have been a loyal customer without any issues until now. Long story short, this location lost my business for poor customer service. The management of this location is flat out embarrassing to the franchise. Sad that I don't have a chocolate treat spot anymore. It's funny how they say they pride themselves on customer service because upon my visit everyone in this store was flat out rude. read more

This shop is really cute and the staff is really friendly even though they were extremely busy. Our family ordered 2 single scoops and 2 single scoops with sugar cones for a total of $19. It was high for the amount of ice cream, but it was tasty. There were also unique flavors. We had peach, banana chocolate, s'mores, and cappuccino chocolate chunk. The chocolates, fudge and ice cream are great! I enjoy watching the employees and even the owner making the fudge, caramels, etc. it smells wonderful and tastes that way too. Some ice cream after the beach is great. I go for the Sea Salt Caramel or a new one called Heavenly Hash. They have cute little chocolate alligators and amazing Caramel Apples. This Kilwins definitely deserves a 5 star review. As soon as you walk in you are greeted immediately and offered samples. All the workers are extremely kind and bring joy to your day as soon as you enter. I have not had a bad experience at this Kilwins . I would 10/10 recommend this to any family's visiting Destin. This ice cream is so creamy and delicious! The two girls were very polite and helpful, and although we didn't end up buying any this trip, the candies and chocolates looked very tempting. LOVE Kilwins! I have been a fan of Kilwins for years from Panama City Beach to Columbus, GA. It has the best ice cream, ice cream cakes, and caramel apples. Giving this location 4 stars because they don't have cakes available for purchase and they weigh the ice cream cones and don't put that little extra bit in the bottom of the cone before they put the scoop on like the other stores. You guys know your pricy so you have to act stingy too (smh)! read more

This is by far the most amazing chocolate store I have ever been to. They are all such a close knit family and always so welcoming. I am always welcomed in with a warm "Hello" and given th most amazing customer service I've ever experienced. Tasha is such a joy and brings such a positive attitude to the whole store I was overjoyed when she returned. I cannot express enough how grateful my team is to Thomas and Kari for taking care of us during the hot summer months with water and the occasional ice cream treat! Mike, Shawn, the whole team are just amazing and go above and beyond the call of duty to take care of their customers. Anyone with a negative experience had to have been drunk or sleepwalking when they went in. I have never witnessed a negative interaction from this location. Went in for ice cream. The staff was exceptional, Amber working behind the counter scooping was beyond patient and friendly while we sampled and decided. Another gentleman, whose name tag escaped my eyes, was very helpful in facilitating a dish of ice cream for my son who has a tree it allergy. While it may not have been approved by his allergist, it satisfied us as parents that his dish was safe. Our son was so excited to have ice cream with the rest of us, and not have to wait to go home and get something packaged. read more

Stopped by here while walking through Destin Commons. Smells amazing when you walk in as any fudge/ice cream shop. I tasted their fudge and my girlfriend had her eyes set on a childhood favorite of Superman Ice Cream. So we came back after we had supper. The fact that their fudge is creamy and not bricky and flakey is why I came back. I got the Peanut Butter Chocolate, Sea Salt Caramel, and Kilwins fudge kinds. The girl working behind the counter when we came back, I didn't catch her name but she had pinkish-purplish dreads, was VERY sweet. She explained how to store the fudge (which I've been doing wrong my entire life). And she was very personable and chatty. I've been enjoying their fudge since we left Destin, but the only reason they didn't get 5 stars from me is because they still haven't debited my account for the transaction after 3 days (which I'm not sure it's them as so much the system they use), and the Kilwins Mix ended up being very hard. :( Other than that, their Sea Salt Caramel is very good.. read more
