    Confections

Family wanted an adventure so we picked Georgetown. After walking around the downtown square, we stopped for ice cream. And we were pleasantly surprised. Entering the chill space, you're greeted with the sweet smell of ice cream and sugar!! Service was friendly and courteous. We grab some frozen confections to go and returned to our adventure. But I would definitely say this is worth a visit.

I've tried them all and Kilwin's has the best ice cream in the square. Get a flavor that has chocolate chunks in it because they make their own chocolate and it is delicious and high quality. Their cherry flavor has real cherry pieces in it and so does their strawberry flavor. I can't wait to come back and get their ice cream cake in the future. Their cake batter flavor even has pieces of cake in it. Staff is super friendly which made the whole experience lovely!

This place has so many good flavors of ice cream and they make their own waffle cones in house and they are delicious! They also have waffle bowls you can put the ice cream in and the staff is friendly. They also have baked chocolates like fudge and brownies and peanut brittle Here. I must see Location on the Georgetown Square!

We drive by Kilwins all the time and decided to try it today. I usually like artisanal flavors and this place has a good variety of flavors between your classic mint chip, cookies and cream to the less traditional yellow cake batter with chocolate frosting and blueberry waffle cone (intriguing). We came on a Friday night and there were 2-3 families ahead of us. Employees were very nice and let us sample a few flavors. I got the blueberry waffle cone and my son got cookies and cream. The scoops are pretty generous...our total for two single scoop cones was $11.89. Ice cream was delicious with a good ratio of toppings mixed in. In addition to ice cream they also have chocolates, fudge, candy and caramel apples. We got our ice cream and sat on some benches outside--super cute Gilmore Girls vibe. I also expected parking to be tough, but we got lucky and found parking right on the street in the square. And wait to go back and try some other flavors!

After enjoying dinner at a new restaurant on the historic Downtown Square in Georgetown, we went for a walk to take in this year's Christmas lights illuminating trees and buildings on the Square, we had to stop at Kilwins to try the ice cream and see all the other confections being made fresh in store every day. I ordered a single dip of the Traverse City Cherry ice cream that is described as cherry-flavored ice cream swirled with black cherries and cherry brandy sauce. The portion was nice as it was served in next size larger cup due to supplies on-hand and it was exceptional in taste and flavor. $4.99 is not cheap but seems fair considering the cost of goods and service today for sweets and deserts in restaurants recently for a coffee or iced beverage or even a gourmet cookie or pie, so not unexpected. The staff was making their trademark cararmel popcorn and nut mix and the aroma that filled the shop was wonderful. The friendly atmosphere and aroma of the candy and ice cream shop along with the holiday lights on the Square made our evening that much better and like being in a vacation destination. The fudge and praline creations with pecan and other ingredients looked amazing and the pricing seemed fair and in line with fudge and nut confections at Buccee's or Cabelas, so we'll be back to try more.

The layout and organization of the store was cute. We comfortably browsed through the selections while I waited for my order. I ordered a chocolate shake. I was happy with my purchase.

I recently got over my addiction to marshmallows, nuts, and chocolates. Not gonna lie, it was quite a Rocky Road. This is a very new business here in Georgetown, and we are very lucky. They literally are making their sweets in front of you in the store. They have more than just ice cream, so if for some reason you do not like the ice cream don't worry there is a lot of candy and chocolate and other treats that you may like. They even have chocolate covered Twinkies, get there early because those sell out. My strawberry chunk ice cream was incredibly thick, I loved it. I got Traverse City Cherry for my daughter and it had a lot of cherry chunks and it, so much that I was very happy to help her with it.

We decided to pop inside while exploring the town square. This is a very nice chocolate shop. They were making chocolate-dipped strawberries in the front display window. There were tons of easter bunnies, and they were actually solid chocolate so you know they're good. They had all sorts of other chocolate mixes and counters where you could buy single chocolates. They even had marzipan! A bit pricey at $1 a piece but worth it if you can't find it outside of the Christmas season. There's even an ice cream counter. It didn't look like many of them were gluten-free flavors so be aware if that's an issue for you.

This was my first time stepping into Kilwins. It's a charming, well-lit candy and ice cream shop. The staff was courteous and happy to answer questions. The lemon sorbetto was amazing- smooth and tart, perfectly refreshing on a hot day. It was by far the best I have ever had. I also purchased a piece of marzipan (sorry, no picture). It was so soft and delicious. They have the marzipan in a variety of fruit shapes. It's a beautiful store, and I will be back with my kids in tow.

We were waiting for a table to open at restaurant on the Georgetown Square so we walked around a little bit. The kids wanted an ice-cream so we stopped in. The store is very bright and was very clean. They have a great selection of sweets, fudge, ice-cream etc. Staff was very friendly and allowed tastes of many of the items prior to purchase. The scoops of ice-cream are generous and it was tasty. We plan to order birthday cakes and will stop in again when on the square. Highly recommend for those with a sweet tooth.

For Order pickups with coupons , You must place the order online if you plan on using any coupons or promotions. Once ordered, you can pick up in store. Then you get to enjoy the best cookies! I went into this store in person earlier this evening to have cookies delivered later. I couldn't wait for the baking time, and, besides, it was essentially an ultimatum of wait around or do without. II wanted the cookies to arrive as a surprise. I left without ordering. Honestly, it doesn't pay me to subscribe to their $50 free delivery plan if they never have any delivery slots available. This is the third time I had this experience with this store. I've also tried calling in and going online to order. By phone, I was told that unless you ordered before noon you won't get delivery same day. The negative review is not about policy, it's about severe driver understaffing to the point of not living up to their company slogan "Cookie Delivery". I've never had this experience with any other Tiff's location, including last hour orders. They either need more drivers or another store in Georgetown if they're that busy since they're turning away business. And I won't be renewing my subscription. Forget you Tiff's. You've turned a long time customer into a hater. And that's the way the cookie Crumbles.

That happened to me yesterday. I bought cherry bourbon pie (one of the most popular pots) that I shared with my friend. I'n addition, I bought a chocolate scone for Sunday morning breakfast. The cherry pie was robust with a flaky buttery crust...so addicting. The scone was the best scone I've ever eaten. Most scones are hard and this one was not. It was soft and exploding with chocolate...in every bite, By the time we got to the bakery shop, all cookies were all sold out...probably due to the Red Poppy festival. Both were absolutely DELIGHTFUL. But honestly, what made the experience stand out was the service. I'm not sure if the sweet woman helping us was the owner or Lulu herself, but she was an absolute gem. She gave us great recommendations and even warmed up the orange muffin in the oven for us, which took it to a whole other level. And let me tell you... that orange muffin was TOP TIER. Moist, flavorful, and perfectly sweet. It was so good I had to buy more -- one for later and another for my dad to try when we get back home. The shop itself is super cute, the vibe is cozy, and you can tell they really care about what they're serving. If you're looking for a great bakery, desserts, or pie in Georgetown, this spot is absolutely worth the stop.
