We are Kilwin fans and when we go on road trips, we always search for a Kilwin's shop! They have the best selections of ice cream, fudge, candied apples, caramelized popcorn, chocolates and many other desserts. The ambiance is deliciousness! The stores we have visited as well as this one always have large numbers of fellow fans waiting their turn to buy some yummy stuff. The staff have always been welcoming and helpful. I have been visiting this location of Kilwins for many years now when I visit come to Jacksonville. The smell is intoxicating when you get near and when you walk in the door, you are instantly craving something sweet. My go-to item for years has been the dark chocolate salted caramel apple, it is heavenly. Honestly, it is my favorite caramel apple anywhere. The caramels and candies are good as well. I tried the ice cream for the first time recently and my sister and I grabbed quarts of a chocolate caramel and a cherry and both were wonderful. If I'd grabbed a pistachio it would have been the best spumoni anywhere. Overall the desserts and great and the service is usually pretty good. read more

I did ask my daughter, with whom I was visiting, to confirm what Yelp showed for Kilwins and I wasn't disappointed. I had 3 scoops of Ice Cream in a large waffle bowl: Mackinaw Island Fudge Kilwins Turtle Cheesecake, and Butter Pecan. I ALSO had a Pecan Turtle Krispie, which, of course, I did NOT NEED! YUP, this was the best and dopest dessert an old man could foolishly have at 9:30pm. LOL Don't ask me what my daughter had. Some ridiculous milkshake mishmash with 4 flavors. ALWAYS CONSISTENT! I've been stopping in here for years. I enjoy my dessert here every time I visit Jacksonville for work. This particular location has awesome Customer service, is always clean and the ice cream is always consistent. My favorite flavor is Vanilla Chocolate Chip because it's full w/chunks of chocolate chips and the vanilla ice cream is very flavorful. I always order it in a homemade waffle bowl with whip cream. YUM! This specific flavor is usually not on display in the case at this shop, but they have it in the freezer in the back so don't hesitate to inquire on a flavor that you don't see displayed in the case and they might have it in the freezer in the back. The line was almost out the door! The staff worked efficiently so the wait wasn't too bad plus it gave us some time to figure out what we wanted. We ordered the following: Milk Chocolate Buckeyes - These were terrific! Amazing smooth peanut butter and yummy milk chocolate. Some of the best I've had. Dark Chocolate Graham Cracker - Super tasty! I liked this one a lot. Graham crackers can definitely be forgettable but when dipped in chocolate, it's a game changer. Almond Toffee Crunch - Excellent! Rich toffee flavor with a good amount of almond pieces on top. This is a real winner! Milk Chocolate Peanut Cluster - Such a classic made simple and absolutely delicious! This is a must order item! Milk Chocolate Pecan Snapper - Really good. I enjoyed this even though I'm not a huge fan of caramel. The fresh, soft pecans were great. Next time I want to try the ice cream and hubby wants to try the fudge! We will be back very soon. read more

As a 33 year old... when I walk in here.. I realize this is the closest to Willy Wonka's chocolate factory that I'm gonna get. As soon as you walk in the door, the smell of chocolatey greatness overtakes you..any diet you think you're on....leave it in the car. Parking sucks, so you'll have plenty of time to walk and think abojt whatever you decide to get. There are so many different options of things to choose from...it's kinda crazy. After standing in the middle of the store for 10 mins..I decided on getting ice cream with chocolate fudge, Oreo bites and whipped cream... along with some chocolate covered strawberries to take home, and chocolate candy for the kids lol....and maybe myself. I love Kilwins for one main thing....Caramel Apples!! So so so good! I don't get them too often but when I want a caramel apple this is THE place! They have like 20 different varieties of caramel apples, most are dunked in caramel then topped with assorted chocolates, nuts, candies! The turtle one is my fav, caramel then drizzled with chocolate then rolled in pecans! So yummy! Located across from the Cheesecake Factory on the strip-not a lot of parking in this area. The shop is a bit small but so cute and smells AMAZING!! I was like a kid in the candy store, I wanted everything. We were greeted as soon as we entered and was immediately hit with a line. I was confused for a minute until my husband said this is the ice cream line-WHAT? Did I hear you say ice cream-omg but that wasn't our plight for the day although if I had room to eat ice cream i would have taken advantage but not to freight I will return. Walked in on a quiet Thursday night after dinner in the town center to pick up dessert and walked out with a special order caramel apple. I was looking over the delicious apples while my husband was picking out chocolate treats and the woman behind the counter caught my eye and asked if I was finding one I wanted and I asked if there were any caramel/dark chocolate without the sea salt on them. She stated that she had a few to check un back corner and did and said she did not have one. But, she said if I had a few minutes to wait she would be happy to make me one. I sure did have a few minutes! We finished and paid our order and sat outside to wait and het team had the apple wrapped up and ready within 5-10 minutes later. I really appreciated the extra service. Of course, sitting at home and eating a slice of the delicious apple completed my day! My favorite spot for waffle cone Wednesday!!! One Wednesday's at St. John's Town Center, this location has buy one get one waffle cones which brings the cost to about $3 a pop. They have a large selection of flavors to sample and choose from and wide variety of other sweets if ice cream doesn't float your host. My go to flavor here is the Superman, I love the bright colors and how mild the flavor is: creamy with the perfect amount of sweetness. The cookies and cream is also a close favorite as well as the toasted coconut. I've also had the caramel apples here which are also quite delicious. This place is Trouble! We are supposed to be on a diet but I am always on the lookout for good pistachio or rum raisin ice cream and oh boy did we find 'em. This is the first place in Jacksonville where I have tasted a true rum raisin ice cream and believe me I have done some searching! This being Halloween season they had the most beautiful decorated candy apples in the front and what a great display of candies.
