I love Kilwins, they have deals everyday on something different: caramel apples, popcorn, ice cream etc. Their customer service is great and everything is made daily. I'm still trying to figure out if they make their ice cream there or its delivered. Either way it's great. Kilwins is an amazing little shop with an astonishing amount of goodies and sweets to eat. When you walk in you are hit with the amazing aroma of sweets and you see the large caramel apples. They have so many types of chocolate candies, fruit, ice cream, sundaes, milkshakes and much more. The quality is great, the service is very good and there is plenty of seating outside. Right when you walk in, there's a variety of gorgeous caramel apples sitting in the case waiting for a new owner to take them home. Oh creamy caramel covered apple's...you would be such a great gift. As you move deeper into the shop, the cases are filled with handmade chocolates, serious fudge and candies to your left with prepackaged gifts of Kilwin delicacies off to the right. Towards the very back, there's that ice cream you've seen everyone on St.George street licking fervently as streams of sugar & cream melt down their waffle cone and arms. You've got to experience that. Best ice cream I've found in Florida since I left New Jersey 3 years ago. First discovered Kilwins while visiting John's Pass on the Gulf side. Then we found that there were 2 Kilwins in St. Augustine, one at each end of St. George Street. And now, they're opening a Kilwins on Rt. 210 just outside of Beachwalk. Typically they will have samples of something yummy on the countertop. Pretty large selection of ice cream flavors. They give free tastes so you can choose just the right one. This place smells amazing! I came in around 8:30pm and they were still giving out free samples of a caramel apple. The entire store is pretty small and filled with such an incredible aroma. The staff is all extremely pleasant and you can watch them make fresh waffle cones at the front. The lines are a bit confusing where to stand or which checkout is open, especially since the store seems to always be packed! I don't know what took me so long to try this place. This place is chocolate heaven. As soon as I walked in, it reminded me of when I was a kid and before my family & I left an amusement park we would always stop into the chocolate shop and buy a slab of some good ole fudge. The have a little bit of everything. Whether you want chocolate, sour gummy worms, licorice or ice cream. You pretty much won't leave empty handed. It's a nice size shop for what they are offering. If you are going to eat it right away, they have a couple tables and benches outside the store. They don't have seating on the inside. Every item in the glass cases are labeled, so you definitely know what you are looking at. It's definitely a great place to stop by when you are done with your day at the Town Center and what to end it with something sweet. I will definitely be coming back here. read more

Alway's impressed with their selection of ice creams and how freakin' good they are. I'm moving closer to St. John's Town Center soon and am glad that this can now be my regular ice cream shop. The employees here really outdo themselves every time I come in. They have a smile on their face and are extremely patient even with the customers that don't know what they want. My boyfriend and I brought our dog here the other day (left him outside) and I guess one of the employees saw him when we first arrived because when I went in with my family, he held out a cup of whip cream for me to bring to him. I love this place. It is a little bit more expensive - Bruster's is about a couple of dollar cheaper, so be prepared for that. No bathrooms! There's a bathroom place across the street and Barnes & Nobles. Quite a few places to sit outside with your friends & family as well. It gets crowded, however so go at an early time. read more

She told me they have a buy one get one free deal on ice creams. I thanked her and proceeded into the line to choose my BOGO flavor. I was not as hungry, but still craved ice cream. I asked her if she could just give me a single scoop of strawberry in a waffle bowl and she gladly did it for me. My friend who was with me got ice cream as well. The ice cream was smooth and delicious! The strawberry chunks inside my ice cream were good and not FROZEN. I've been to other places with strawberry ice cream that has strawberry chunks and I could not eat. The chunks were so frozen cold it would hurt my teeth. That's not the case at Kilwins. We yelped "desserts" and this place popped up thankfully. I was amazed at the selection of fudge and all things chocolatey, from dipped marshwallows, apples, cookies, pretzels, and even homeade peanut butter cups. Got a PB cup to go, but since I'm an ice cream pushover, I went for a major sugar rush and settled on their Marshmallow Smores shake. Magnifico! Probably a top 3 shake for me - ever.
