I went here with my mother to get a pedicure. It was my very first time going into a nail salon, let alone getting any of my nails done! I'm always nervous about nail salons because of bad experiences I've heard from reviews of different places. This place is also renamed to 2020 Nails so don't be alarmed if you think you have the wrong address! Upon entering, they ask you to check-in, wash your hands, use the hand sanitizer provided at the front and choose your nail color from a variety. It was very hard to decide but I chose 257, a pink color. There was only two employees inside and both of them were busy with a couple at the time so the female employee set the water for me in one of the seats and told me she would be with me in a moment. She let my mom sit in the seat next to me so I could talk to her. I unfortunately did not get her name, but the kind lady working on my feet made me feel very comfortable. My mother said she treated me like a princess. I'm usually not comfortable and a little shy speaking to employees, but she made it very easy for me to talk to her without any sort of anxiety. I have very sensitive and ticklish feet, but she applied a good amount of pressure for me not to react to it. She cut and filed my nails down to a good length and did any amazing job painting them. She even help me put back on my slides without smudging the work. I'll definitely come back here again. read more

I was looking for my new forever nail place and stumbled across this one and said to myself I would go for it since it had 5 stars and.. idk why! 1st thing, charging $5 extra to get almond shaped nails. Really? So because I really needed to get my nails done and was short on the cash decided to just do short squovals. Then the nail on my finger is put on crooked. I made him aware of that and my pointing out to him the messed up nail was to no avail because I was ignored! I told myself to just let it go since it didn't like that bad.. until he did the same to 3 of them. We move on to the shaping of the nails which SUCKED because one seemed longer/shorter than the others. Others seemed more round than others. Painting them was horrible too. The gel for whatever reason was melting off so I decided for another color which was also painted horribly, some nails looking for painted than others. That same night the color chipped on my pinky nail and now, a week later my nails look like I haven't gotten them done in 2+ weeks. Never again! read more

There are about four other nail salons near that have more reviews but my daughter and I are picky and since we've moved we picked Kim nails place on whim it's quiet and so so relaxing my daughter was extremely pleased you know how teenagers can be she had a manicure and I a pedicure!!! I came here on a Saturday afternoon and didn't have to wait at all. I got a #1 pedicure and asked for a sunflower design. One tech completed the first part of my pedicure and did a great job. Tracy did the design and it turned out better than the picture I showed her. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for quality service. read more

Took a chance, but i should've known better, this place never has customers. Went in for a fill. For starters i asked Michael how much for a fill, 2 Nail fix and a cut down. Very specific. He sees my nails, quotes me 25 for the fill 5 each per nail fix and 5 for cut down. Ok usually if your getting a fill most places charge $3 to fiX but whatever... so my nails shouldve been 35-40. I decided against the cut down. So $35. I give him my card at the end and when i get my receipt. He charged me 40? I asked why and he says because my nails were long! Lol laughable. So when i came in and asked you don't mention it but charge me for it. I left but it pissed me off because he knew what he was doing and that was aa shady move. So after my appointment i went back and made him cut them down because if you were going to charge me the $5 i would've had them cut!! First he tried to argue me down as if I'm crazy... then says it was a miscommunication? My understanding is very well and so is yours sir, stop it. He cut them down over the gel and of couRse the gel is lifting because it was cut! DUH. So I've been back 3 times total to get nails re polished. Why they won't just take the polish off nails and re polish? Because they are lazy and don't care. My nails were done less than a week ago.... gel should not be peeling off like a press on nail, I'm going to call my bank and charge back. You don't get to con me out of $40 for a half assed job! read more

Really really long wait. I think it's under new ownership because none of the staff that was there before is there now. It's only two people so if you come in expect to wait a very long time. The last time I was there one of the workers finished with his client and rather than helping me he just sat at his computer. It wasn't until about 20min of that when I asked him how much longer it would be since I'd already been waiting over 30min, that he said I can take you now. So basically I could've already been done if he'd taken be as soon as he got done! Then once he did get me he just rushed through and didn't even do the work properly. I have been to this salon 2 times, both experiences were less than good. The first time I got a full set of acrylics. Their posted price for a full set is $25, great right? But then I asked for my tips to be pointy and mike, who appears to be the owner or manager says $5 extra for pointy, annoying but whatever. The shape was HORRIBLE, they were all uneven and the pointy ends seemed to aim in all different directions. I asked if he could even a few out and mike acted very annoyed about this. I ended up fixing the shape myself at home the next day.the surface of my nails was also lumpy and uneven, pretty ugly. When it came time to paint I gave him the color polish I wanted and he pulled out a bottle of gel polish in the same color and told me gel is better and will last longer and whatnot, so I said ok. Then once he has the bottle in his hand literally 5 seconds from starting to paint he says it will be another extra $5. Well, I'm in a little too deep to say no now I guess... so when I'm all finished he tells me $40 total. According to my math it should have been $35, no explanation about where that last $5 came from. I didn't want to be an asshole and I hadn't noticed just how bad my nails looked yet so I just paid the $40, left a $10 tip since I was the last customer of the night( also hoping he would remember a decent tipper and give be good service next visit) and left. Second visit was a few weeks later for a fill, there was one lady getting her nails done and no one else waiting. I was asked to sit and waited 35 minutes for my turn... a little long imo. Finally I'm up and mike starts doing my fill and without asking, changes the shape of my nails!!! They are medium length and very pointy he took them to a very conservative oval shape that I very much disliked, I was not able to see him doing this to the shape until he started on my second hand, because of the way he held my fingers. Next some weird bubbling thing happened with the polish while it was drying, on literally every nail, but by then I had already paid and Mike disappeared into the back room and only one other worker was out front and she hardly spoke any English. I didn't have any time to get it fixed anyway since I had already been there more than an hour and a half and had somewhere to be. I reshaped and repainted my own nails that night to my own liking. In short if you care at all about your time money or how your nails turn out, probably find a different salon, I know I will be. read more

This is a great place to get a mani/pedi - they are friendly and efficient. The price is right too, $30 for both. They even use hot stone for the massage on the legs for the pedi. This place is clean and they cleaned my cuticles well. I would definitely come back. read more

I am from Canada and come to Arizona often. My fiancé brought me here to Kim Nails after a horrible experience with Holly Nails. There was no comparison. Everyone in this nail salon are very good. Honestly didn't likey experience here. The manager or whoever he is (Mike) was very rude when I told him I didn't like the way nails were. He at first didn't want to fix it or give me my money back he got loud with me then I had another employee fix then. This place is an absolute joke!!!! My mom has come here several times... Thursday morning she was the first one there as soon as they opened, the guy that normally does her nails supposedly got called away for another job so she requested a lady named Tracy to do her nails for her and Tracy flat out told her she didn't feel like doing her fill to come back another day. My mom always tips very well!!! Her feeling where so hurt that she cried. She does not understand why they would act that way towards her!!! She's not picky and doesn't complain and she tips well! You can not treat people that way!!!! Only $20 for their standard pedicure! This includes all the necessities, plus a really good massage (even with some hot stones). My nail tech very meticulously worked on my nails, she was extremely thorough and professional. I was very happy with my service! BTW, my nails are difficult to paint because they are so small, and she still did an awesome job painting them. I came Friday May 3rd my daughter and I got full set gel nails and I also got a pedicure my total came to 115$ plus I gave a 10$ tip well not only do my nails look like shit has cracks in them butttt these fuckers charged my credit card 3 days later for 103$!! I called my cc company and they said go to the salon and ask about the charges so I did the guy said oh same name but not same place or number I said yeah right it's the same address he pulled out my receipt from when I was actually there and I told him to look in the other receipts for the 6th and ofcourse there wasn't a receipt because hello he probably hid it somewhere else or threw it away because they already got the money for the fake charge smh soo he asked me if he could see my cc and write down all the info on it so he could call and dispute it himself I said I don't feel comfortable leaving my cc especially since y'all charged it a 2nd time he said uhhh okay I told him my cc company said to call them back if y'all didn't resolve it so I walked out the salon and called my cc company back the lady said I will get with my dispute team and get it disputed she put me on hold and then came back on phone and said ma'am we aren't disputing it we are going directly through fraud because we can see you swiped your card for the 115$ but 3 days later it was manually entered to charge 103$!! You guyssssss what the actual fuckkkk if you've been here check your bank statements or cc statements because these people up to NOOOOO GOOD with their broke asses!! read more

By far the best nail salon I have been to. I've moved out here 2 years ago looking for a nail place. I've been to atleast 10 until I found Kim's nails. I wouldn't go anywhere else, the people are friendly and the nails are great. Horrible experience. My gel polish on my fingers was poorly applied, gooped up on the sides making my natural nail look like a poorly applied acrylic. I also asked for him to fix the shape as they were crooked, and he did not. My grandma also got the $25 pedicure, which was treated like no more than a polish change. The woman did not clip her toe nails, nor did she remove any of the callus from the bottom of her feet. The pedicure took about 10 minutes!
