I discovered Pomona Family Dental after my company moved from Altadena to Pomona, and I'm so glad I…read moredid. Their rates truly can't be beat--especially compared to my childhood dentist in South Pasadena. A cleaning is only $50 (versus $150 elsewhere), and the quality of care is excellent. The staff is incredibly nice and professional. Last month they helped me with two cavities and a crown, and the numbing process was much less scary than I expected. They placed a temporary crown, and two weeks later the permanent one was ready and fit perfectly. What I appreciated most was how they explained everything step by step, which really put me at ease and helped me feel prepared throughout the process. I also love that each patient has their own room with a TV, and that the staff takes their time--you never feel rushed or like just another number. I've already recommended Pomona Family Dental to friends and coworkers, and they've all shared similarly positive experiences. Highly recommend!

I've been to many dentists and this is the first honest dentist I've been to. They don't try and sell you treatment you that don't need. Then they charged us $50 and said they could take us. Then when we went back to the classroom-they had us waiting for hours. Only to find out they don't take referrals. Then they told us back and forth multiple times that that they could take us a patient and then that they couldn't. We asked for a refund and they did give it to us but far from being organized or helpful. I would not recommend this play to anyone.

The staff here is very homey and friendly which made the experience all the more enjoyable. Communication felt very open, akin to a friend get-together. Upon inspection of my teeth, Dr. Armen suggested that I treat the gingivitis around my gums. I hadn't gotten my teeth professionally cleaned in a while so I knew my teeth weren't in the best condition. He laid out different cleaning options for me, which I really appreciated. It's nice to have that transparency, both procedure and cost, communicated to the patient. The dental cleaning was done very well with Dr. Armen's expertise and my teeth felt refreshed and relieved. Thank you Dental Clinic for the pleasant experience and I will most definitely be back for regular dental cleaning!

It is so rare to find a dental office that truly cares, and I can honestly say this place means…read moremore to me than just "a dentist." From the very first visit, I felt safe. Everyone here is incredibly gentle, attentive, and patient. It never feels like you're just there for a quick check and pushed out the door. They genuinely take their time with you. The dental assistants and Dr Cabrera will sit with you, talk to you, and make you feel comfortable the entire time. There is never any weird or uncomfortable energy, just warmth and care. The ladies at the front desk deserve so much appreciation, especially the one with blonde hair. They actually remember faces, remember conversations, and make you feel welcomed every single time you walk in. That means the world, because you truly don't feel like just another patient on a list, you feel like someone they genuinely care about. Because of how comforting and safe this office felt to me, they even convinced my mom to come. My mom has severe dental anxiety from years of bad experiences, to the point where the dentist terrifies her. This is the first place that made her feel so welcomed, understood, and safe that she was able to make an appointment without panicking. That alone says everything about this office. They are very one-on-one here. You never feel rushed. You never feel overlooked. You feel heard. I also had my wisdom teeth removed here, and I was shocked at how smooth the entire experience was. The Oral Surgeon was incredibly fast and gentle. The numbing shots literally felt like NOTHING, and my teeth were out in under 20 minutes. My recovery has been amazing: very little pain, no excessive bleeding, and overall such an easy healing process. They even called me the next day just to check on me and make sure I was okay. What dentist does that? It is SO hard to find a good dentist, let alone one that makes you feel like family. I am beyond grateful that I found this place. If you have anxiety, fear, or past dental trauma, this office will change the way you feel about going to the dentist!!

I visited CNC Dental in Pomona after not seeing a dentist for several years (about 2017). The staff…read moretook extensive X-rays and I was presented with a treatment plan that included multiple root canals (3), numerous fillings, and extraction of a front tooth. The estimated out-of-pocket cost was several thousand dollars 9-10k, 2k covered via insurance). What concerned me was not simply the treatment recommendations, but how they were communicated. Initially, I was told that my "front tooth" needed to be pulled, without clearly identifying which tooth was being discussed. For a moment, I believed one of my two central front teeth was beyond saving. Only after asking additional questions and reviewing the images myself was the situation clarified. That level of uncertainty should not occur when discussing major dental treatment. The consultation felt rushed and left me more discouraged than informed. There was little discussion about alternatives, prognosis, or whether any of the recommended treatment could be approached more conservatively. The deciding factor for me came in the days afterward. I contacted the office and requested copies of my own X-rays so I could obtain a second opinion. I was told the office could not send them directly to me and that they would only be sent to another dental office. That is a HIPAA violation if a regulator were to assess. Not good. As a patient facing significant treatment recommendations, being told I could not directly obtain my own records immediately raised serious concerns and caused me to lose confidence in the practice. I understand that every dentist may have a different treatment philosophy, and I fully support obtaining second opinions before making major decisions. After this experience, I chose to seek care elsewhere. Based on my experience, I would encourage anyone facing extensive dental work to obtain a second opinion and ensure they fully understand all available options before proceeding.

I, like I'm sure many, hate the idea of seeing a dentist because of the pain, the drill sounds and all the usual stress points. However Pomona Dental Group is a dental office that makes me feel comfortable from start to finish. Doctor is easy to talk to, really down to earth and I feel like knows how people view visits in general so he talks to you in such a manner that takes that into mind. When he's discussing treatment or process, it's very straightforward and no bs of any kind and ensures you know why the recommendations are as such. The overall staff in that facility all seem to be on the same wavelength too because everyone just seems in a good mood. My shutouts to the two hygienists I worked with the last two visits. I unfortunately cannot remember who the first from my previous visit was, but I definitely remember Reina. Reina is such a sweetheart and besides being an open book with conversation, knows how to handle dental cleaning and prep work with causing you the least amount of pain. She is vigilant in ensuring you are comfortable and if you have any particular sensitivity she is on top of it. I recommend this facility highly. The building itself from the outside may look unassuming but you'll be well taken care of once inside.

I personally have a fear of dentists and needles, and this office truly made me feel comfortable…read moreduring my first root canal. Dr. Rivas and Suzie were absolutely amazing. They explained the process clearly and worked together so well -- the communication was great and they made sure I felt safe the entire time. I even asked Suzie, the dental assistant, to hold my hand during the injections, and she did without hesitation. I was so appreciative because I honestly don't think I would've been able to get through it otherwise. They knew I was nervous, especially since it was my first root canal, and they even played music to lighten the mood, which helped a lot. I genuinely recommend them. This work was done within the last few months. More recently, I also had my wisdom teeth removed. I didn't catch the dental assistant's name, but she was confident, comforting, and really knew what she was doing. I asked her to hold my hand as well, and again, she didn't hesitate -- which I was soooo thankful for. The doctor, Dr. Zaki, was AMAZING. Truly 10/10. He was so quick and gentle that I originally planned to only remove three teeth, but he worked so efficiently that I ended up having him take out the last one too. I highly recommend this office. They made every experience comfortable, fast, and as stress-free as possible -- especially for someone with dental anxiety like me.
