I've come to this office for a few years now and I can really appreciate how this office does business with their patients. I, like I'm sure many, hate the idea of seeing a dentist because of the pain, the drill sounds and all the usual stress points. However Pomona Dental Group is a dental office that makes me feel comfortable from start to finish. Doctor is easy to talk to, really down to earth and I feel like knows how people view visits in general so he talks to you in such a manner that takes that into mind. When he's discussing treatment or process, it's very straightforward and no bs of any kind and ensures you know why the recommendations are as such. The overall staff in that facility all seem to be on the same wavelength too because everyone just seems in a good mood. My shutouts to the two hygienists I worked with the last two visits. I unfortunately cannot remember who the first from my previous visit was, but I definitely remember Reina. Reina is such a sweetheart and besides being an open book with conversation, knows how to handle dental cleaning and prep work with causing you the least amount of pain. She is vigilant in ensuring you are comfortable and if you have any particular sensitivity she is on top of it. I recommend this facility highly. I personally have a fear of dentists and needles, and this office truly made me feel comfortable during my first root canal. Dr. Rivas and Suzie were absolutely amazing. They explained the process clearly and worked together so well -- the communication was great and they made sure I felt safe the entire time. I even asked Suzie, the dental assistant, to hold my hand during the injections, and she did without hesitation. I was so appreciative because I honestly don't think I would've been able to get through it otherwise. They knew I was nervous, especially since it was my first root canal, and they even played music to lighten the mood, which helped a lot. I genuinely recommend them. This work was done within the last few months. More recently, I also had my wisdom teeth removed. I didn't catch the dental assistant's name, but she was confident, comforting, and really knew what she was doing. I asked her to hold my hand as well, and again, she didn't hesitate -- which I was soooo thankful for. The doctor, Dr. Zaki, was AMAZING. Truly 10/10. He was so quick and gentle that I originally planned to only remove three teeth, but he worked so efficiently that I ended up having him take out the last one too. I highly recommend this office. Ever since Dr. Sandavol took over this office it has been a NIGHTMARE!! They give excuses about their computer system and confirm appts that you didn't confirm. I have documentation of speaking to the staff regarding my April appt for my daughter and I on 2/26/26 & 3/6. As of today April 6,2026, they said I confirmed my appointment. Now they want me to come in June! This is the office manager trying to do her best after the staff messed up my appointments multiple times. They only have one hygienist who works there. DO NOT BRING YOUR KIDS HERE-THEY DONT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING!I have three children who have all had many different dentist and never have I had a bad experience. I brought my son here and was recommended by his Orthodontist. We got there on time and still waited 30minutes to get seen. After that he got his x-rays and got seated. We met with a female dentist, who did not introduce herself and barely spoke English. Mind you I am hispanic and have nothing against hispanics but when it comes to health or dental needs I only know the terms in English. The language barrier was an issue. When she was talking to my 12 year old son she was talking to him like a baby-my son has NEVER had issues with his dentist so the baby talk wasn't needed. She then proceeded to work on him but didn't have help or anyone to assist her and held the suction straw on her lap. She then rubbed the numbing cream on his gums and almost immediately got the needle for the numbing injection. My son was visibly in pain and was moaning in pain-she kept telling him that she's almost done and to continue helping her by staying still. After that she moved to the second tooth and put the numbing cream on but this time I told her to put more and allow more time for the numbing cream to come into effect. she didn't allow more time and as soon as she stuck the needle in my son again was in more pain and started crying. She stopped and started to work on removing his tooth and again my sin was in pain- I got up and told her to stop and told her "No" we are done. I took my son out and the dentist didn't stop to talk to me to apologize or check on my son. Very UNPROFESSIONAL! My son has had teeth pulled out and never had issues, he has braces and has never had issues. This dentist office or this dentist wasn't doing her job correctly or showed any professionalism not even a call after to check on my son. DO NOT BRING YOUR KIDS HERE!!! read more

I had a bad tooth ache early September. Due to past experiences I tend to avoid the dentist but o had excruciating pain over a cavity I left unchecked. I spoke to Eddie and his staff over the phone and they gave me information to help mitigate the pain. The scheduled me in for a check at their soonest availability and went I went in I was impressed with the friendly communicative front of office staff. I had a severe cavity and they were able to conduct a root canal the staff was amazing, communicative and attentive especially telling them my past experiences and fears. The procedure went great and I am pain free, I will definitely continue coming here to get my cleanings and any dental work done. 10/10 highly recommend. read more

Do not go here. I had a great experience which is why I told my husband to come here and it's been terrible. He has had the staff schedule him wrongfully three times. His initial appointment was May 16, he shows up and they told him it was rescheduled for May 19 and shows up that day all for him to be too it was only for a cleaning and not the root canal he needed. So they told him come back Thursday ( May 22) and again told him we don't have you till June 5th. After this, I won't be returning either. He's been in pain and they don't even try to accommodate. If you're looking for a family oriented dentist Pomona dental group is the place for you. I witnessed a girl come in with 2 babies in a stroller. I thought to myself poor girl is going to have to reschedule but to my surprise the girls in the office were so helpful to her. They entertained the little boy and they held the baby so that the mother could get her dental work done. They didn't have to do that and most places would make you reschedule. I love the way that they treat their clients like family. 10/10 I will recommend to all my family and friends. read more

This place is going to lose 3 customers who have been coming for years. All because they are not willing to work with us in a time of need. My daughter has a heart condition she is a full time student. Only home for the holidays. We made an appt. And our insurance didn't go through in calling insurance they stated it was a technicality her school name was not on her schedule so her insurance was denied BUT insurance stated if we get them the school letter/logo proving my daughter is in school her insurance would be backdated. Oh great BUT not great because THIS PLACE would not see my daughter even though we have been going for years and I explained everything their like NO. I've been coming to this practice for at least 6 years now and I've NEVER had a problem. The blonde receptionist can be rude but I look passed that because the doctor is great! Today I walked in to make an appointment and there was no one sitting behind the desk. There was one gentleman in the waiting room. After about 2 minutes the gentleman got called in. The assistant did not acknowledge me, she did not smile. So I said I'll just wait a bit more. I waited almost 10 minutes and still no one. That really bothered me. What kind of practice leaves the front office unattended?? I walked out. Unfortunately I'm not able to change dental practice due to my parent's insurance, I'm stuck here. Dr. Lee is a cheery, friendly dentist who tries to make you feel as comfortable. I feel like no one really likes going to the dentist, but Dr. Lee tries and succeeds and making the experience as pleasant as it can be. As for the wallpaper decor, I personally enjoy it. It helps take my mind off the fact that there's a drill whirring around inside my mouth. I would say I'd love to come back, but that probably means my teeth are in pain due to poor personal hygiene. read more

It doesn't get much better than this place. I've been going to this office for over 10 years and they are amazing. No upselling. The staff is honest, so nice and Dr. Lee is as good as it gets. I've tried places closer to home and every single time they've tried to sell other services, saying I need deep cleaning and to have my wisdom teeth pulled. I've come out of those visits being told I need to have thousands of dollars of work done that is not covered by insurance. I go into Dr. Lee's office, have my teeth checked and get a cleaning. The dentist is a nice guy with a jovial bedside manner. My visit was overall pleasant. Two things that bug me about it are these: A disturbing amount of religious decoration throughout the place. There is a crucifix in every room. Odd much? Kinda OK for a Christian bookstore, church, or whatever, but who really wants to stare at a bleeding Jesus when you are getting your teeth cleaned? Odd. Mostly, I am irritated with the lack of referral. I went there practically three months ago for the sole purpose of getting referred to an orthodontist, and I am STILL waiting. I called a month later and the girl told me that I should get it by the end of the week. I then had to ask...how would this referral come? Email? Phone call? Letter? Letter...and that letter has still not arrived. pretty ridiculous I think. Now I will be moving out of the area, and will not find the referral useful even if I do receive it. read more

I am so happy to see a professional not afraid to tell the world who he is and what he believes. Yes, you see that he is a Catholic, however the first thing I noticed was a window looking out to the ocean when I was getting my X-rays done. And believe me I need the distraction because I tend to gag with those things in my mouth. I also saw a carousel horse walking down the hall in another room. There was a window with a soccer net and ball in the room where I got my teeth cleaned. Before you get bored with all his décor, let me tell you why you should go there. He and his staff are extremely friendly. I got my teeth cleaned very quickly with some new technology I have never had before and they look and feel really nice. When Dr. Lee gave me the run down, he said I have some old fillings but said they were in good shape so if he were I he would leave them alone until they NEED replacing. The last dentist wanted to do several replacements. Dr. Lee said every time they have to grind for a new filling it takes away a good tooth and eventually you will need crowns. I want to keep the teeth God gave me as long as I can, so THANK YOU DR. LEE, for not raiding my pocketbook. Oh, and he is a fun, happy, joking dentist. If I can give more stars I would! Pomona Dental Group is the best dentist office to go to! I've been coming here for over 20 years! My husband doesn't like going to the dentist, yet he loves this office so much he doesn't mind at all! Dr. Lee really cares about his patients and their teeth. He will not put you through unnecessary procedures or expenses. He really is a kind and caring doctor who is honest. He's the best Dentist! Office Manager Lincy and the office staff are awesome and are always accommodating and will always try to squeeze you in, in their already very busy schedule. They are also great at explaining treatments, insurance questions and any general dental questions. They truly care about your needs and are always considerate and have patience with your given situation. The Dentist Assistants are great! As with age my husband I are beginning to have sensitive teeth and Sandra is wonderful! She is gentle and uses techniques that don't cause any pain when she does our cleaning. I use a night guard and my Dad uses partial dentures which were made by Juan at Dr. Lee's office. He's great at making sure they are well made and comfortable to use. Their schedule gets booked pretty quickly so make your appointments in advance. Advise I was given as a kid here at this office was if you, "Brush your teeth, floss daily, and schedule your exam/cleaning every 6 months, then you shouldn't have to pay high dental bills." I've listened to their advise and have not had an expensive bill since. You can 100 percent trust Dr. Lee and his staff for all your dental needs and referrals. read more

I'm new to the area and came here a few months ago and will not be going back. I had an old filling that needed to be replaced and was okay with that but when they told me how much I was thrown back because my previous dentist didn't charge for this since my insurance covered it. The woman at the front told me this wasn't covered and I would have to pay out of pocket. I called my insurance because that didn't sound right. They confirmed it should be covered and called the office to see what was going on. Though my entire cost wasn't covered my insurance did cover part of the procedure which the women failed to tell me. I HIGHLY recommend checking your prices with your insurance before getting any work done here. I would have went somewhere else but I was locked in for the month. I understand how busy they are (I copartner 4 medical offices) and ask to be seen Monday (2 days from today) for an emergency (simple procedure). Their response was....No available time and I am more than Welcome to come over around 3 pm for a waiting list! ...For the Owner or CEO of Pomona Dental....Your staff is no amiable at all and totally rude.
