The fried tofu super yummy. Crispy on the outside and smooth on the inside. I understand that smooth is a strange adjective to use but it is tofu. They serve a lot of bun bo hue and pho options and the bun bo hue meat is great. However the broth I think is pho base broth? Just didn't feel very reminiscence of the typical bbh spice. A friend is a fan of this place; sadly, I was not impressed, borderline hard pass. FYI there are two Kim Phuong. This location has meat options. The other one, closer to freeway, exit 5 off 405, is vegetarian only. The food didn't stand-out. The appetizers were 3 stars, a passing grade. The pho broth was bland. It came with grilled pork but I switched it out for grilled short ribs, skewered shrimp, shrimp patty, rice, eggs, cucumber and a slice of tomato. Everything we have tried so far is very tasty. The boba tea may not be as good as that of boba tea specialty stores, but it's still good if you don't want to drive far to get a boba tea drink. I got lunch here a couple weeks ago via delivery. I've always been wanting to try it. I got the Bún Dac Biet Special Combo Vermicelli. Copied from the site it says: it includes deep fried egg roll, shrimp cake on sugar cane, grilled prawn on skewer, grilled pork skewer and pork sausage patty (1 pc each) Food was fresh and tasted really good but the menu was a bit misleading. I got a vermicelli dish and asked for extra vegetables and they gave me sprouts and salad. In the future, I would advise this establishment to make sure things like that are clear. She got BBH and I ordered Bun Rieu because cravings. Ordering was quick and easy and the serving size was HUGE for a small. I could have save some and had left overs but I inhaled everything. I have been coming to Kim Phuong for years as they have very affordable prices for vietnamese food in the area, and have kept large portion sizes! We ordered dinner for to go, and called in to place our order. Within 20 minutes, the food was ready to be picked up. Ordered grilled pork vermicelli bowl, a grilled pork & shrimp rice plate and a bun bo hue with beef brisket, shrimp and pork sausage. For the bun bo hue, the noodle soup and the noodles were packaged separately from each other, insuring that nothing gets too soggy. They also pack all of the fish sauce for the vermicelli bowl and rice plate separately, again ensuring nothing gets soggy. The grilled pork was very nicely grilled, and super tender! They also included little packages of hoisin sauce and sriracha which is nice, since those are usually provided at the table when dining in. read more

We've had the bun rieu and the BBH which were both excellent! Prices were also good and the overall selection of options on the menu is extensive. Great pho and other food items. Broth is always served hot, flavorful and savory. You can really taste all the spices they use, especially if you add some fat oil (nuoc beo) back to the soup in your bowl. If you're a true pho lover, order the #14 (large!) with side of fat broth and vinegar onions. You should be doing this at every pho place; however as far as I know, this applies more the southern-style pho as I know there are regional differences in preparation and flavor. Service overall is acceptable for the food type they offer. They're attentive to your needs when you need them to be. I've never had my order messed up, but again results may vary. It's quick and to the point like most Vietnamese places. At least they don't look at you funny when you ask for order customization.
