I'm glad I tried this place based on the positive reviews because I had a really great experience!…read moreSince you're going to be spending upwards of 45 mins at this place it might as well be comfortable. Their waiting room is nice, clean, and spacious. There are complimentary coffee and beverages, tv and Wi-Fi (and it's fast enough to stream an episode of Game of Thrones). I took my car in for an oil change, but they threw in a car wash and wiped some of the dust off my dash. They also performed a full visual inspection and recommendations for my next service. I felt the price was fair and not once did I feel like they where screwing me over like I sometimes feel at the dealership. As I left, Dave handed me an envelope that contains a free gift, but I must not open it until the next visit. I was going to come back anyway because of the quality of service, but this was just icing on the cake. I wonder what it is...

I went back to get an oil change here because of the great service I received last year…read more Unfortunately, the service I received was horrible and have lost trust in this place. Went in on a Friday afternoon for a scheduled oil change and was there for 2.5 hours! I was told that my car was done so I paid for the oil change. Side note: I was told AFTER I tapped my credit card that there would be a 3% fee. I asked if I could use my debit card instead. There was an option to select Yes or No to the fee so the lady behind the counter clicked No and said the charge still went through. What is the point of having this option??!! Irritating and somewhat shady. Back to the story: The lady saw me get ready to go and did say that my car would be another 10 minutes because they had taken it to drive around the block. Fine. I waited and waited and my car still wasn't ready and no one was available behind the counter to ask. Luckily another man came out to help another customer and I asked him about my car which he automatically brushed me off with a response "yeah it's coming out." But still no car. Another man came out to help another customer and I asked him if he could check the status of my car which I got an annoyed look from him with no response except he just walked to the back and asked about my car. Seriously?! No one else came back out but I heard someone yell "it's coming out right now" and when I looked outside, my car was being driven out of the garage. The man driving my car apologized and explained that the lady should have communicated better and told me that they were still performing tests which took longer than she told me. "Performing more tests", "driving it around the block"...generic excuses thrown at me while not being told exactly what the real status of my car was, all the while behind an enclosed garage with no visibility to what they were actually doing with my car. I don't like being treated like this especially because I didn't see them treating anyone other customers like this. Like the other bad reviews on here and Google, the service you get here is hit or miss. You might save some money on a couple of things but just think if it's really worth it including the time you lose. For me, it's not worth being treated like this and not being able to trust the level of service I'll be getting.

I respect the no weekend hours thing for the employees to have work-life balance, that just means you have to think ahead when scheduling your oil changes, no biggie! The only time I was disappointed by that schedule was when I got a nail in my tire and had to take it somewhere else to get patched up. I appreciate that when I go for my oil changes, they also check the tires, brakes, etc. to make sure that the car is safe. In an "emergency," when my battery light popped on, they squeezed me into their busy schedule and let me borrow a car to get my daughter to and from school. Outside of the exemplary service, I appreciate how Busse is involved in the community. There is always a thank you note hanging on their wall and I know from my daughter's activities that they put money back into the community by sponsoring. I trust Busse with my car. I trust that they are doing what needs to be done to keep the car safe and not have me spend money. One piece needed to be replaced before the warranty on the work was expired and it was fixed in a jiffy at no additional cost to me. They always explain to me what is going on and always answer my questions patiently. As my daughter gets closer to the age of driving and cars, I look forward to her being the 3rd generation that utilizes their shop!

Honest review, I have gone to Busse for the majority of my car's work over the past 6 years; both…read morefor routine maintenance and also larger service. Unfortunately I'm going to be finding a new shop going forward. They are generally decent guys, but my car always leaves with a new issue after I bring it in there: ex 1. Long ago I brought in my car for normal service and I left with my radio signal not working in my car (it worked perfectly fine before bringing my car in). Their response when I told them that my radio stopped working after bringing it into them was essentially "Nothing we did to your car should have affected the radio signal. We can give you the names of some specialty shops nearby if you want to get it looked into.", so there was strike #1 - radio stopped working and I just have to accept that. ex 2. I keep my car quite clean in general, but I always leave their shop with oily smudge marks on my mirrors, window/window frames, steering wheel and grease marks on rims. For a place that also operates as a detail shop, it'd be nice to not leave with a car that got dirtier compared to when I brought it in. ex 3. Just recently I brought my car in for an oil change. I was contacted and notified that my sway bar links could use replacement if I wanted and despite it being a pretty heavy fee (~$400 I want to say) I went ahead and said let's do it. They stated that there was some rattling come from there, and for years now my car has had a quiet rattle that you can hear from the outside of it so I was hopeful that this would fix that. The outcome of this work was the following: 1. the rattle noise did not go away; 2. I have a new leak underneath my front right tire directly corresponding to where they did work; 3. my suspension makes a new, very bad sounding click/crunch noise persistently driving over normal terrain - also I feel that the ride of my car got noticeably harsher after this latest service. So I would say that overall, you will be impressed likely when you first go to them: they usually have openings to get you in quickly, they are conveniently located in downtown MP (I would just walk to the shop from my house) and they are responsive, but I would absolutely steer people elsewhere. Not only are the on the "premium" side when it comes to pricing to begin with, but I have had numerous issues post-service at their shop that I just have to suck up and deal with? Unfortunate that your car can just be made worse by a mechanic and they can just get away with basically saying "sorry that's happening" in the end.

You call for a day and then drop the car the night before or show up in the morning and check in. They verified the oil change and asked if I needed additional service. I asked them to take a look and let me know as I didn't think it did. The staff is really friendly and welcoming. The service was very affordable and the quality and care they put into their work is tremendous. When they called to inform me my car was ready, they validated that no other work needed to be done. But if I wanted to 30K service I could. I decided to pass and doing it next month. They didn't push the services and to call them for an appointment when ready. Lastly, the waiting room has very comfortable theater style seating and a small cafe bar. I'm going to bring all my cars here for future services. Thanks!

Picked up the car and did not get to far without it smoking. The oil cap was not put on leaving the oil to go all over the engine, exhaust pipes and drained on our driveway. We have been loyal customers here for many years, which makes this experience especially disappointing. We brought in our son's new car for a routine inspection, including an oil change and additional work. Shortly after picking up the vehicle, it began smoking. When my husband later opened the hood, oil splashed into his eye, which was extremely concerning and unsafe. He discovered the oil cap had not been replaced, causing oil to spray throughout the engine, onto the exhaust, and all over our driveway. When we contacted the shop, we were told that if the car was returned before noon, it would be inspected and we would receive a call. We never received that call. Because of this error, we were without a vehicle for two days and had to rearrange work and school schedules, including taking time off work. Ultimately, the only action taken was cleaning the oil spill and refilling the oil. There was no follow-up communication, no apology, and no offer of reimbursement or compensation for the inconvenience and disruption caused. Given our long history with this business, we are very surprised and disappointed by the lack of responsibility, communication, and customer care shown in handling this situation. This was once our go-to place, and this experience has significantly changed our confidence in their service.
