Every time…read morewe visit Calivirgin Winery in Lodi, we always hope Rachelle is there--and that alone says a lot. She has a way of making each visit feel special without trying too hard. She's welcoming, genuine, and incredibly knowledgeable, but never overwhelming. Instead, she creates a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere that makes you want to stay longer and come back again. What really sets her apart is her consistency. It's not just one great visit--every time we've been there, she's gone above and beyond with the same positive energy and attention to detail. Because of her, this winery has become our go-to spot. I even celebrated my 50th birthday here, and it was such a memorable experience. All of my guests couldn't stop talking about how amazing Rachelle was--everyone felt taken care of, comfortable, and truly impressed with the service. The winery itself is beautiful, accommodating, and perfect for gatherings, which made the celebration even better. On top of that, the entire team at Calivirgin is fantastic. Everyone we've interacted with has been friendly, helpful, and genuinely welcoming, which really adds to the overall experience. The wine is excellent, the setting is great, and the people are what truly make this place stand out for us. We'll absolutely keep coming back, and a big reason for that is Rachelle.

We stood 6+ people deep line of customers waiting to be acknowledged. There were a lot of other employees working... walking past us and chilling. I guess front desk was not a priority to have multiple people covering or filling in. I finally just asked if we could seat ourselves, which i was told I could go to bars. We ultimately had a good time and Sophia was good to us at the bar. As a student & ptomoter of "efficiency" & "customer service", i would love to impart some wisdom in these areas, to help your business thrive. Good & tasty products!

I'm from LA but have family in Sacramento, I saw on their website/ alongside google they were located in Lodi and that they were open. I decided to give them a call because of the long drive, the lady I spoke to said they had a private event the day I called and asked if I come over Monday or Tuesday which was really preferred for her. I agreed and went on Tuesday. When I arrived the place was very hard to locate. There is no sign or anything, it seems to be a private house. I called the number provided on their website and spoke to the lady again and she said they aren't open to the public and that they only accept cash and wanted me to leave it under the mat. Then why tell me to come Tuesday and that it was preferred to you?? She then said she would give me a call back to let me know if anyone else is there to help me. She never called me back, I gave her a few calls trying to reach her and it seems like she blocked me or is refusing to answer my calls Is that how you treat costumers? I normally don't write reviews but this was the worse experience I've had. I drove 45 mins plus for nothing and just to gain this experience. Do not tell your costumers to come on a day where you aren't even present and then GHOST them. You lost my business along side multiple family members and friends. I hope you fix this problem and fix your website so it doesn't give FALSE information to future costumers. Please fix yourselves and this problem.

The food is top notch in this very small chain restaurant city. There is nothing like it in Lathrop! Did I mention how cute this place is! The Ambiance is perfect! Thank you, Caroline!!!

I saw a family come in after us and the children were given some seat cushions. I might ask for them next time! My husband ordered a glass of Cabernet and I had the Pinot Grigio. Yelp photos showed a bar with a cocktail menu, but that is no longer available. I should have taken a menu photo because there are no longer entrees, just pizza and a special of the day which was lasagna. We each ordered a side salad, a half hot honey pepperoni and half margarita pizza, and a lasagna. The food was served hot and everything was fresh and tasted good. I felt the lasagna was pricy at $32 for a single portion with three small garlic bread pieces. I would not order it again. It was just okay. We ordered the cheesecake for dessert. It came with a delicious berry topping. It was excellent. The service was excellent. It is a small restaurant, so make a reservation to ensure a table. The menu is limited and there is no longer a full bar. Would we return? I'm not sure. The pizza selection is very small. Not enough choices for me.

Performed some great oldies which went great with our visit and glasses of wine. We spent good out here, the location filled up fairly quickly. Some were celebrating a birthday others already had their tables reserved and some like us, just happen to pop up at the right time. They have nice seating set up inside but we enjoyed the outside seating much better as it was a beautiful day out. Some tables do have umbrellas with them. The two workers this day were polite and would walk outside to check on each guest ensuring that they were okay during their visit, which was a nice added touch. I was looking for a menu that had a charcuterie board option, but did not seem to see one, although I did notice a nice stack of boards behind the counter. They also have a small refrigerated area that has premade platters that you would find like in a grocery store that resembles a charcuterie board or a cheese platter.. but for the time that we were there checking it out for the first time, we enjoyed ourselves, our wine selection, our breadsticks, and just the overall great people that were there that day. It was nice to try out a new winery.

And as a professional courtesy Layne made sure that we all had wine in our glasses as we walked through the breezeway to the aging room. The learning tour was super interesting as we got to see the locally curated oak barrels, the authentic European barrels made of French oak, as well as the stainless steel tourine used to age M2s delightfully crisp Vermintino. After the tour we re convened in the main tasting room and sat at one of M2s super duper comfy soft seating sofas. We enjoyed a lovely bottle of 2020 Patina, a delicious jammy red table wine recommended by Layne the M2. Noteworthy m2 Wines that I sampled and loved: 1. The 2021 Mokalumne River Rose 2.
