My rx for my contacts had expired and my previous doctor said that they couldn't get me in for months and that they wouldn't refill the rx because it had expired; and even said that the lens that I am using has been discontinued. Didn't offer to find a different option. Dr. Lyons was referred to me by my godson and she was able to order a sample of the contacts that I needed in my strength - she was able to source a new brand AND see me within 30 day. Since the fourth grade I've had eyeglasses and have seen many eye doctors. Dr. Lyons and her staff were light years better than any eye doctors' offices I've ever been too. I was greeted with such a warm reception that I felt so welcomed. Other offices should learn from Dr. Lyons, on how to make a patient feel relaxed and more at ease. During my exam Dr. Lyons and I chit chatted like we were old friends just catching up, she was friendly and genuine. Although I did not purchase frames and lenses there, I would, but my prescription hadn't really changed, so there was no need, nor was I pressured into it. Let me begin with my wife had an emergency eye issue, we called our primary doctor with urgently and received no call back, so we decided to drive there on a whim. They were at lunch and with my wife in desperate need, there was Dr. Kimberly Lyons next door. I stopped in and asked if the eye doctor could just look at my wife's eye. The receptionist stopped what she was doing and went to ask the doctor. Kim came out and greeted my wife and took her in. She had dirt under her eyelid as the doctor removed it and sent her home with medication. Kimberly could have said no and took her lunch which we interrupted, but she took her in as she need help so urgently. Both my wife and I now have a new eye care doctor. Best of all, Kimberly Lyons takes the time to do a very careful exam and explain what you can do to ensure your future eye health. She answered all my questions with ease and I had a lot of questions. When the time came to fit my progressive lenses, my technician took the most careful measurements I've ever had. The choice of eyewear is extensive, and they offer a good discount if you are buying more than one pair--like a regular pair and sunglasses. The price for a general exam was 30% less than my former place too! They also sent out multiple reminders for appointments and are supper easy to work with. Good location with easy parking as well. Nice people, clean interior. Would have given a zero stars, but don't want to slam the staff. However, that's about it. We make decisions every day and being informed can help make those decisions easier. Now, you need to know once you purchase a pair of glasses or contacts or whatever and walk out the door, you are on your own. If you have returns or repairs, again you are your own. They will sell you on a product telling you "it's the best, well made...etc. if you have an issue with the product the only thing I can say is GOOD LUCK. I bought a pair of expensive glasses and right away I started getting headaches and vision issues. Their response, wear them for a few months to get use to them. The headaches and vision didn't change. Finally they realized the wrong lenses were in the frame. They had the lenses replaced. All was good. I wear contacts so I only ware them at night and only if I needed to see quickly instead of putting contacts. I needed my glasses and when I put them the frame broke and a lens fell out. Took them in for replacement or repair. Their answer, SORRY but they are no longer under warranty. Yes that is true, but my first 6 months I was trying to do as they said, " getting used to them". But the wrong lenses were in the frames. The glasses were obviously NOT a HIGH quality as they said. During the 2 years I had them they only had at most 12 total hours of wear. So GOOD LUCK once they get your money. Make your own decisions. They did say they were sorry, that helped. After losing a lot of money and their unwillingness to even try to work out some type of compromise, they lost 2 clients. read more

Since I don't have insurance, I asked if I could take my new prescription elsewhere to fill and she printed a copy for me on the spot. I feel confident that I will see better and that everything she told me about the health of my eyes is accurate. OK here is the deal... Ever go to a eye doc and the technician does all the work and the eye doc comes in for a minute to show face and then the sales person comes and hounds you to buy everything? I've noticed every optometrist I've been to they play the good cop bad cop roles...Eye Doc = good cop...Sales person...bad cop. We'll this place is totally different!!! Dr. Lyons does all the work and she really cares about your eyes. None of this oh i'm going to up your prescription so you have to buy new glasses all the time. She thoroughly checks your eyes, asks about routines, and figures out the best plan for you. No up selling...just what a doctor should do. I was looking on Yelp for a new eye doctor I came across Kimberly Lyons office the reviews were super good so I decided to go. Everyone at the office was very very nice. I like that they confirm appointments with text messaging. When I got to the Office I was greeted by a very nice receptionist. The doctor came out and introduced herself and took me in the back for my eye examination. The examination itself was very thorough I actually had a eye scan which I never had before. It was interesting to see A picture of your eye . They have several glasses to choose from in the office I wanted a pair of sunglasses and a pair of regular glasses. Sara spent lots of time with me helping me choose glasses and she was very helpful. Unfortunately the next day I had to call and cancel my glasses due to an emergency. I was afraid that they wouldn't be able to cancel it and was actually embarrassed that I had to call and cancel. There was no issues with the cancellation at all my money was refunded with no issues. This is a WONDERFUL optometry center. Unfortunately, I had already had my eye exam, but I found my new frames here. The office is gorgeous and the staff was kind and welcoming. I have a petite face, so most glasses look enormous on me. The woman who helped me I think her name was Sandra, was incredibly knowledgable, fun to work with and patient! They actually talk to you about your vision and help you understand why certain lenses and frames work for you. I woke up the next morning unsure of what I'd chosen and brought a friend back to the shop with me. They were welcoming and took another half hour with me after I changed my mind. Went back for my yearly check-up. I must be getting old because my Rx is stronger. Dr. Lyons did all the tests and did a great job explaining how my eyes are doing. For years I'd ordered prescription glasses from the store on the same building as my optometrist (not Lyons). My satisfaction was "meh", never great at this other place, but I never took time to seek out an alternative for this once-every-couple years deal. While waiting for a family member to finish her dentist appointment, I ventured into the Lyons lens center nearby. There, Doug gave me precise and personalized advice on frame and lens selection. He also took my existing glasses and did a complementary re-adjust to fix the poor workmanship done by the original lens store. This fortunate visit to Lyons opened my eyes (pun intended) to the very poor service and frames offered from the other store, and set me on a path to acquire the most extraordinary set of lenses I've ever worn. For about the same co-pay charge as I had paid repeatedly to the other store, I got the lightest and best-fitting frames, and the progressive lenses with anti-glare are just incredibly better than the single lens.
